“Harr, you flatter me, pet. I am more of a negotiator than a “slayer”. Raids are only an occasional bloodsport for me.” He lifts his totem hanging from his neck, and waggles it lightly, “A little treat.”

“Do you mean horses, my dear?” The Soothsayer asks, somewhat condescendingly.

“I am fond of them. They are fine beasts. I’ve never cared much to ride ravagers, they lack grace.”

Lazuli smiles. “My intentions are pure. The lad has a good heart, but his environment is stagnant. He is troubled with excessive empathy for an inferior breed of man. Hicks, hand-hiders, sniveling treehuggers. Villagers. One of their priests has taken him in and filled his head with their primitive doctrine. He’s awfully confused, the poor boy. I will guide him on a better path, teach him the feats and joys of our glorious empire.”

Lazuli the Soothsayer, a newly anointed partisan of the court of the house of Siegmund. Age unknown, male. His voice is sweet but his intentions are sickly.

He is a negotiator, very charismatic, in an almost unearthly sense. His voice is almost hypnotic. He is skilled in evocation and illusionry. He's also an equestrian. His origins are unknown, though he seems awfully interested in a set of artifacts called the 'Eyes of Ender'.
