“In Korean there are two words for hot and two for cold.
덥다 (hot) and 춥다 (cold) are used when talking about the weather or room temperature.
When you are talking about things that you drink, eat, or touch then you must use 뜨겁다 (hot to the touch) and 차갑다 (cold to the touch).
Example sentences 1. 날씨가 더워요. The temperature is hot. 2. 이 주스는 차가워요. This juice is cold. 3. 이 국이 뜨거워요. This soup is hot. 4. 그 방은 추워요. That room is cold.”
