JASON WOULD’VE DIED FIVE TIMES on the way to the front door if not for Leo.

First it was the motion-activated trapdoor on the sidewalk, then the lasers on the steps, then the nerve gas dispenser on the porch railing, the pressure-sensitive poison spikes in the welcome mat, and of course the exploding doorbell.

Leo deactivated all of them. It was like he could smell the traps, and he picked just the right tool out of his belt to disable them.

“You're amazing, man,” Jason said

Leo scowled as he examined the front door lock. “Yeah, amazing,” he said. “Can’t fix a dragon right, but I’m amazing.”

“Hey, that wasn’t your—”

“Front door’s already unlocked,” Leo announced.

Piper stared at the door in disbelief. “It is? All those traps, and the door’s unlocked?”

Leo turned the knob. The door swung open easily. He stepped inside without hesitation.

Before Jason could follow, Piper caught his arm. “He’s going to need some time to get over Festus. Don’t take it personally.”

“Yeah,” Jason said. “Yeah, okay.”

Some considerations I made:

Piper "I don't like girly stuff" talk makes me think that she was a tomboy/masc

Leo canonically wears an army jacket so yeahh

Leo shouldn't have many clothing options and some should be second hand or donated

Leo's ripped pants weren't ripped from factories, it got ripped while he was doing something else. At some point he gave up on continuing to sew it (I feel you Leo😔)

Leo is canonically very small and the moment he unzipped his pants, they immediately fell to his feet, so I guess they were a bit big for him.

I have the HC that Piper was scene emo but it's just an hc

i’d like to think that for maybe a few months or even a year or two after jason officially leaves the legion he dresses super eclectic. like think matthew gray gubler type levels of mismatched. cause he’s just trying so hard to figure out who he is and what he wants himself to look like because he can do that now.

like it’s just a year of him going “yes i like these pants” (they’re navy blue corduroy) and “this is my favorite t-shirt” (it’s a bright green shirt with a wolf pun on it) and he just wears that and piper tries her hardest not to make fun of him because he looks kinda crazy but jason is finally being his own person so she bites her tongue.

jason finally understands why leo almost crashed out after a bad haircut because his hair is part of himself. jason never understood that before because until now his body didn't even belong to himself; it belonged to the legion, to juno. but now jason has a very similar reaction when he thinks he might have to wear a shirt that's a very similar purple to that of the camp jupiter shirt. he never picks up a piece of fabric that color purple ever again.

eventually he calms down and settles on softer, lighter colors that make him feel calm and fabrics that aren’t as scratchy as the camp jupiter t-shirts. he keeps his hair longer than it was before but still out of his eyes. he thinks about shaving it sometimes for convenience but then remembers that he isn't a soldier anymore. piper and leo don't bring up his year of trying to find himself because they're just so relieved that jason is finally becoming his own person and they never want him to feel embarrassed about that.

oh, how refreshing it is to read the events of Riordanverse through the eyes of a proper adult (mentally) and a god (formerly) at that!!

someone on tiktok mentionned that James would use his family’s products aka the Sleakeazy and it just made me think because there is probably huge business bc we know the Potters are rich because of it.

So Fleamont probably has lawyers, solicitors, a CEO or someone running and managing his business because even with magic, it needs people. There might have been investors and thus a board. And so you’re telling me Harry never hears from it ?

I don’t remember if Sleakeasy is it’s around when Harry is in Hogwarts but I imagine it is. All the pure bloods probably use it. Hermione probably buys it. Draco and Lucius have the entire hair care line. And not one banker, solicitor, lawyer, not one board member, NO ONE came forward looking for Harry, the heir to that business ????

Where is the money? Where are the contracts ? Where is that CEO ??? Harry you dumb bitch you’re the nepo baby of that country and all your classmates and even young Jedusor are probably using hair care products with you name on it and it’s never talked about ????

Can someone actually help with this because I’m so mad. They all failed him so bad. He probably has a summer home and a fucking manor and a long line of people waiting to kiss his ass because of his family’s business and we never hear about it

Albus and Scorpius are rocking to Conan Gray in the Slytherin dorm. Scorpius loves One Direction, probably.

Albus loves to ghost his parents facetime calls. They just call Scorpius instead, he always answers.

yall hermione granger would not be minister of magic, she’d be working in some field where she can help muggle attacks or inequality and instead the minister would be percy weasley. he has worked towards this goal his entire life, he’s literally the most ambitious character in the entire series and he’s so slept on. like please he would make the best minister of magic the wizarding world has ever seen. but he’d be working closely with hermione just to ensure everything is running well and they’d genuinely be such a power duo. like all of a sudden there’ll be fewer attacks against half breeds and more common spaces for everyone to coexist in diagon alley. there’d be less bullying happening for someone’s character traits and they’d be offered internship opportunities. there would be a wizard-muggle community and not constant hatred. house elves would get paid for their work. but they would also ensure wizarding traditions are alive. percy weasley and hermione granger would work together to make it a better world, a better reality for everyone to live in. except the fascists ofc.

random compiled list of (almost) all the hcs i have on jason grace

he's got loads of dental issues that he has yet to acknowledge because there were no dentists in new rome. he is unaware that he even has these. hes missing a tooth or two from fights and has wisdom teeth that have started coming in.

popular hc: iron deficient. not given enough nutrients as a kid. wolves weren't exactly paying attention to if he got his daily intake of iron.

anisocoria. leo thinks it looks very cool. will is shaking in his boots because he knows damn well thats a symptom of brain damage and literally no one is acknowledging it.

gets frequent migraines because of his head trauma. piper lets him borrow eye masks and earmuffs and hide in her closet during them. does leo make gay jokes about the closet? absolutely.

jason didn't have a favorite color until 16. he was unaware he was allowed to feel strongly about colors until 15. he likes orange.

leo forged matching anklets for he and piper. jason wears his as a bracelet. on the same path, the trio made friendship bracelets. piper used hers as a pretty and functional hair tie, leo used his as an anklet (less likely to get incinerated in the forge that way) and jason was the only "normal" one who wore his as an actual bracelet.

his favorite food is pretty much anything leo makes. specifically tamales.

his favorite candy is jelly beans. his favorites are the strawberry ones. leo makes sure to remind him that he is Wrong everytime he catches jason with any, and that there are clearly more superior candies.

no comprehensible music taste. likely because he's divorced from society. but he'll listen to anything leo sends him, so thats a plus.

really good with hair. he looks like he'll ruin your hair but no, leo's hair has literally never looked better. cabin 10 teams up with him to fix the cabin 15 kids' bed head. its mostly because wolves groom each other's fur so he learned very quickly.

sleeps in the monster infested woods whenever he decides he is done with cabin 1.

scared of storms because he knows that if his mother lied to him once, she will again. a total of four people know about this and they all keep this secret for him like their lives depend on it.

there have been at least two occasions where rachel has opened the door to cabin 2 to find him napping in there.

he likes cuddling with people. his primary love language is touch. inspired by wolves sleeping together in their packs

the first full book in English he read was Wild Rescuers: Guardians of the Taiga by Stacy Hinojosa. no, he does not know what a minecraft is. he read it because he saw wolves on the cover.

he keeps breaking his glasses. its gotten to the point where he keeps extras on him just in case.

he loves epics. has at least one copy of the Odyssey in his possession. its weathered because of how much he reads it.

refuses to yell in arguments because he refuses to be like his father

likes coffee. also likes tea, but prefers coffee.

Scrolling through Tumblr, as one does, and I see a Jason/Piper post. I was so confused for at least thirty seconds because I forgot that it was a relationship that was actually in canon at one point.
