She’s evil. Well, so what? We aren’t forced to be friends with our teammates, we just have to survive together. 

After the Moonrise Towers battle, the party had stopped to refill provisions and finally take a breath, but Bonnie’s mind had gone from one obsessive thought - must get more tadpoles if I want to be useful - to the current ones regarding their new companion and their potential alliance. As entertaining and, at times, stressful as Lae’zel and Shadowheart’s aggressive banter could be, she didn’t want to get into a similar spot with Mizora on a daily basis, but hostility felt like the only option if she didn’t want to betray Wyll. Then again, not getting everyone killed because busy being at each other’s throats may serve him and the rest of the group better. 

She should investigate Mizora’s intentions better, talk to her, see if she had an attitude, try to figure it out from there. “Can you fly like a bird?” 

Or she could ask that first, as she sat on a rock so she could put down her cane and search for a drink in her satchel. “Because of your wings, I mean. Or is it just the ‘floating because of a spell’ sort of flying? Also, unrelated, do you eat?" She had stolen a wheel of cheese earlier on, which was mostly stored in one of her dog's storage bags, so Bonnie's question was followed by pulling out a slice of it instead of the liquor she was searching for.

“Well, you clearly have my parents’ blessing…” Bonnie remarked lightly now that she and Mr. Brekker had been left alone with only a maid to chaperone a few feet away. Bonnie’s mother had not only approved but hadn’t been able to conceal the disbelief at the thought of a suitor for her; Bonnie’s father had been near tears, also incredulous but at least pleased. Not even her mother had the heart to tell him it was clearly a business arrangement.  “But that leaves the final choice to me, and I must be blunt. Marriage is until death, and that is a long time to be unhappy... or brief, were you to decide to exchange me for a younger bride and have me disappear in a mysterious carriage accident that people will call ‘fated to happen’,” she joked nonchalantly, “For this marriage to be mutually beneficial, we must agree on some terms. The first is that if you are home, you will give me ten minutes of your time every day. Ten minutes: we shall speak of whatever comes to mind and then you will be free to go back to your day. Up until now I’ve often enjoyed the company of my siblings, I will not trade it for a lifetime alone with maids who will not dare speak their minds to me. If you are missing for weeks at a time, then at least a monthly letter. Do you believe that acceptable?"

Bonnie gaped in surprise as the blond man proceeded to somehow both welcome her and yell at the swordsman without hesitation. So smooth, going from introduction to---yelling at Luffy, now, apparently.

And she laughed to herself, leaning more against her cane and watching her new Captain pretty openly steal some food anyway. "I can and will eat anything... No, wait, you are used to Luffy: I can and will eat anything within reason." She had never met anyone who could devour food so quickly and efficiently. "I'm Bonnie. BonBon to friends! And yes, that is a culinary suggestion as well."

Has anyone ever told any of you that pirates are supposed to be evil criminals? she didn't voice the thought, but it was still quite amazing to find a crew of nice ones. "I think I've been recruited as some sort of... assistant. Assistant medic, maybe? But if you need help cleaning dishes and such, I'll do that. Can't do much else and surely you won't need daily patching up..."

"Welcome aboard." Offering her a blinding smile as he looked up from where he'd just brought on some of the last of the supplies he turned back to look over his shoulder, hollering back down. "Don't you dare drop that moss head! It's your booze!"

Looking back to their newest guest upon the Merry he didn't bother asking why she was there or why she wanted to leave this island. Luffy had invited her and that was all that mattered in his book. Especially not when it came to beautiful women, such as the one before him. "I'm Sanji. I'm the cook for the crew. Please let me know if you have any dislikes or likes that I should be aware of when cooking. Especially allergies. And if you ever desire anything I'm only a call away."

Finishing with a wink he pulled a cigarette out of his pocket, lighting it as he turned back towards the docks and yelled. "Luffy don't even think about eating that. It's for later you idiot!"
