My baby was 21 when she died from cancer. I just wish this information was available back then. Great job.
Final assignment
Moffitt Cancer Center is and located in Tampa, Florida. It is a non-profit cancer and research center. It was established in 1981 by the Florida Legislature and opened in October 1986, on the university of south Florida campus. This past year in U.S.News and world report it was ranked as the number 8 cancer hospital in the nation. Social media is critical for what Moffitt Cancer Center does because it allows them to post videos about what they do and provide for patients and their families.
Social media also allows them to announce events and dates of said events that they are hosting for either gathering money for research or to create awareness for a specific type of cancer. Moffitt Cancer Center is part of the health care industry. The standards for social media in The health care industry is to share information, compare and improve quality, train medical personnel, love update procedures , and communicate in time of crisis.
Moffitt Cancer Center used three social media platforms. What I have learned from my research is that Moffitt Cancer used uses social media to announce events that they are hosting. They use it to allow users to send donations for their research. They also use it to post videos of the things that they are accomplishing in their industry.
Moffit Cancer Center used Facebook, Twitter, and Youtube. They use Facebook and Twitter the most. Moffitt Cancer Center ’s social media objective is to let people know the progress that they are making in the healthcare industry and events that they are hosting to get donations for their research.
Moffitt Cancer Center encourages patients who find out they have cancer that cancer is not the end of their life. They facilitate and influence thru the videos that they post on YouTube. They leave lasting impressions in the hearts and minds of the patients and their families that watch the videos.
Moffitt Cancer Center’s critical relationships are with the Florida Legislature and the university of south Florida. These relationships are critical because the Florida Legislature gave Moffitt it’s start. The university of south Florida’s relationship is critical because that is where Moffitt first opened its doors.
Moffitt Cancer Vs ratings and reviews on Facebook there was maybe two or three not recommended and the rest were recommendations. Moffitt has 4,051 likes on Twitter. On YouTube Moffitt has 4,724 subscribers.
On YouTube Moffitt provides information for patients such as this video https://youtu.be/A0j2zj2ZjOw via @YouTube. On Facebook they post about how patients don’t let their cancer affect their life. On Twitter they post pictures of the past and the present.
Overall Moffitt Cancer Center has an amazing social media strategy. I think that it would be beneficial if Moffitt would post more of it’s history on Facebook. With all of the videos on YouTube to let patients and their families what happens, how, and why not much that I can offer for improvement.
as for The Twitter account it were To stay up to date.I don’t have any recommendations for it.If they would post videos on YouTube of people having fun at some of the events they host they could get more young people involved.

Final Assignment- Childhood Cancer: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
In this paper I will be talking about childhood cancer and how these children’s parents use social media to get the word out and try to understand this deadly disease. St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is doing their best to stop childhood cancer.
Join St. Jude in the fight against childhood cancer. Donate today! No family receives a bill for treatment, travel, housing or food, because all a family should worry about is helping their child live. St. Jude has treated children from all 50 states ad from around the world. Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago. St. Jude use several social media platforms. There are many other hospitals who specialize in different types of childhood cancers, but I feel that St. Jude is the number one hospital when your child needs help. St. Jude uses social media as a great way to let parents know what they are doing to help these children.
Social media represent important resources for parents to engage with experts and peers over survivor-ship health. Facebook is the most commonly used social media platform. In a serve in January of this year, parents reported high levels of social media use, with 80% reporting daily use. Facebook was endorsed by 76% of its users, Twitter and Pinterest by 59%, Google+ 52%, and Instagram by 40%. Over 420,000 childhood cancer survivors (CCSs) are alive in the United States, and in 750 adults is a childhood cancer survivor.
Social media represent particularly promising platforms for the design and delivery of high-quality survivor-ship health information to parents of young CCSs. Social media are presently untapped resources for parents to engage with experts and peers over long-term survivor-ship health. Social media have emerged in the past decade as ubiquitous, innovative, and potentially powerful tools for health information sharing and health behavior change. Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation has a social media toolkit. They say “social media is an easy way to raise awareness about the deadliest form of childhood cancer.
They have a Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram account. 13 children and teens are diagnosed each day with a brain tumor, more children die of brain tumors than any other cancer, and survivors often face lifelong side effects and years of tests and treatments. The PBTF’s research portfolio is paving the way for better treatments, increased survivor-ship and a higher quality of life for children and teens. The Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation said “our Research Advisory Network, comprised of the top childhood brain tumor experts helps statically shape our research funding program for maximum impact”. St. Jude children’s hospital treats the toughest childhood cancers and pediatric diseases. St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, founded in 1962, is a pediatric treatment and research facility focused on children’s catastrophic diseases, particularly leukemia and other cancers. The Cancer Center received its NCI designation in 1977 and was awarded status as a comprehensive cancer center by NCI in 2008. St. Jude has a staff of more than 4,000 including over 160 researches who are part of the Cancer Center. They are engaged in a broad spectrum of research including discover-oriented basic science research. The Cancer Center supports five major programs that are organized with the specific intent of translating basic science discoveries into creative therapies for children with cancer, while minimizing long-term side effects.

Jim Acosta
Jim Acosta has been trying to point out the bad influence Donald Trump has on the public. He has said many times that Donald Trump promotes violence. Jim Acosta has said that Donald Trump is planting “seeds of violence” in his supporters. Acosta said Trump’s numerous references to Rep. Greg Gianforte, who allaulted a reporter last year in Montana inspired a supporter in the crowd to do ‘pro wrestling moves” and gestures. Acosta has talked about a “cause and effect” with Trump supporters, whether Trump’s rhetoric will make them prone to violence.
While reporting at the White House Acosta is trying to show the public what a bully Donald Trump is-both for a network that has been under attack by Trump and those who feel disenfranchised in Trump’s America. Acosta covered Trump on the campaign trail, as the candidate ramped his anti-media; he was physically threatened by Trump supporters at rallies and at on he found a sign with a swastika drawn on it left at the media table. Acosta has work with many middle-class communities, and has received rewards for doing so, particularly in the Hispanic community. He flew to San Antonio in July to receive the Corazon de Oro (Heart of Gold) award from a group of Hispanic Journalists and recently the National Association of Hispanic Journalists honored him with their Presidential Award. Later this month Acosta will be the keynote speaker at the Chicago Latino Network. After his fracas with Miller, an Indian family stopped him outside the White House and thanked him for his work. Jim Acosta appeals to me because he lets nothing stop him from reporting the news. He is, indeed, a bulldog when it comes to reporting the news. April Ryan is another bulldog, when it comes to reporting the news. On Twitter, Jim Acosta has 2.38M followers. Jim Acosta appeal to me because I am a digital immigrant. I am 57 years old. I try to keep up with the news, about what is going on in the world, especially about what is going on in our country. There is a lot going on in Washington these days. Jim Acosta is on it.

Fake News
Yes, I believe Facebook and other social media platforms had something to do with the presidential election. A lot of people believe most of what they here and see on social media. Donald Trump still have a lot of followers. Most of them still believe everything he tweets. People believe what they want too. If they like a person and the news they here is bad, they will consider it fake news, even though it may be true. Same thing goes if they don’t like a person and their are only good things said about that person. They want believe any of it. Donald Trump is the master of fake news. He will tweet about things with no evidence one way or the other.
Fake News: “Donald Trump sent his own plane to transport 200 stranded marines”. This news racked up 893,000 engagements, according to Buzzfeed’s data. The story can be traced back to Sean Hannity, a popular conservative political commentator. A Trump-branded plane did pick up the Marines, but it wasn’t Donald Trump’s personal jet. This was published by Americanititarynews.com in May.
Fake News: “WikiLeaks confirms Hillary sold weapons to ISIS... Then drops another bombshell”. The article states that Assange contended “Hillary Clinton and her State department were actively arming Islamic jihadists, which includes ISIS... and generated some 789,000 engagements. “This article was published on August 4, and written by The Political Insider.
Fake News: :FBI director received millions from Clinton Foundation, his brother’s law firm does Clinton’s taxes”. This article generated 538,000 Facebook engagements. The only thing proven was that FBI Director James Comey worked for organizations in the past that donated money or partnered with the Clinton Foundation.

#22PushupChallenge
I am sure you all are wandering what the #22PushupChallenge is. The 22PushupChallenge, at times called the 22KillPushupChallenge, is an activity involving pressing out twenty-two push ups to promote awareness for veteran suicide prevention along with honoring military service members and veterans. In order to do the challenge a person would have to do 22 push ups a day for 22 straight days. The #22pushupchallenge was a viral echo of the 2014 ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, which had everyone from veterans to celebrities to regular folks hitting the deck, and challenging their friends to do the same on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook. This challenge was inspires by a real dire concern. It was estimated that 22 U.S. veterans commit suicide everyday. To do the challenge you would have to post a video on social media of yourself doing 22 push ups, include the hashtag #22pushupchallenge, and tag a few friends to challenge them to join you. Former Men’s Fitness cover guy Chris Pratt posted a clip of himself and his wife, Anna Ferris, taking the challenge. Other celebrities joined in, such as, Chris Evens, John Krasinski, and fellow former Men’s Fitness guy Scott Eastwood. Many other celebrities joined in. They were Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Central Intelligence co-star Kevin Hart, Olympic gold medalist Simone Mauel, and Houston Texans superstar J.J Watt, gold medalist Simones Bites, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Justin Timberlake, just to name a few. The #22pushupchallenge was inspired by a veteran-created nonprofit called #22Kill. The challenge set out in 2013 to help raise awareness of suicide and mental health issues among veterans. #22Kill name derived from Marine slang. It was started by Honor Courage, Inc. One of #22Kill’s goals were to inspire people to do 22 million push ups as part of the broader awareness effort. Veteran suicides could be higher. The first reported cited statistic was in 2012. VA researches estimated veteran suicides by comparing the percentage of reported veteran deaths by suicide in 21 states from 1999 to 2011 with the number of suicides in America. Although the challenge was for veteran suicide awareness, its a great way to keep health. Doing 22 push ups everyday for 22 days is a great start to improve your overall chest, triceps, and core strength.
Operations Iraqi Freedom (OIF) and Enduring Freedom (OEF): About 11-20 out of every 100 veterans (or between 11-20%) would serve in OIF or OEF have PTSD in a given year. Gulf War Veterans (or 12%) have PTSD in a given year. Although the challenge was for a good cause, some people don’t think it helped much. Awareness doesn’t do much. You can know a problem exists. That doesn’t mean you are any closer to the problem.
Veterans dying by suicide has been all over the news since the Department of Veterans Affairs scandal broke out in April 2014. A lot of people might say that awareness of veteran suicide might help to prevent more suicides, but how? How many hash tags and social media posts identify warning signs to look for in friends and co-workers? How many explain that the latest report found of the 20 veterans a day who died by suicide in 2014, 65% of them were 50 years of age or older. Some people even feel that the challenge may have actually hindered solving the problem of veteran suicide.
If people think they’ve done their part to help by just posting to social media and don’t follow up with actually doing something to help veterans, than an opportunity to achieve real change has been squandered.Awareness is nice, but action is essential. A lot of veterans die by suicide for a lot of different reasons. It could be from the lack of counseling, or the lack of veterans services, and the lack of money is what is killing these veterans. Not having the right people to turn to when you feel you are in trouble is one big reason.
Spreading the word that veteran suicide is not the answer is what veteran empowerment group, Honor Courage Commitment, Inc. wants people to understand. They started the 22Kill project in 2013 after learning of the shocking statistics of veteran suicide that plague this country. With the combined efforts of the organization and participants they hope that “bridging the gap between veterans and civilians “will” build a community of support “for those living with these mental health challenges. We need more concern for our veterans who become of risk for brain disorders because of the extreme stress they undergo day in and day out. 22Kill is spreading awareness and educating the public on the core cause of these challenges that arise after these heroes return home. Creating a smoother transition in and out of services is essential for veterans having difficulty finding their way after the military.
The challenge begin in 2014 when a representative from the Harsh Foundation, a private family foundation based in Irving, offered $10,000 if the nonprofit could encourage 100 people to post push-up videos to social media within a week. “Within a few hours, we have 300 videos, “Nguyen said with a smile. In response, the Harsh Foundation upped the anti. It offered $100,000 for 1,000 push-up videos in a week. Again, the results blew away expectations, with more than 3,000 push-up videos uploaded to social media within a matter of days.
A search of #22KillChallenge returns a seemingly unending supply of videos, some featuring familiar faces. In January, the Fort Worth Police Department posted a video showing dozens of officers doing push ups in a parking lot. Nguyen said, I quote, “I tell people, I’m not challenging you. I’m not trying to see how many push ups you can do. I’m not trying to see how strong you are, “he emphasized. “All it’s about is taking those few moments out of the day, humbling yourself down no matter who you are. It’s about humbling yourself down and saying ‘Think you to our veterans that served”. Unquote.
Many baseball players took part in the challenge because of what it was all about. Detroit Pistons center Andre Drummond sent out a challenge to his fans. He said that if they took part in the #22pushup challenge to honor military veterans, he would retweet their video. Drummond, several teammates, and even Pistons owner, Tom Gores, got into the act.

Using SEO and SMO techniques
SEO is a great way to get your website to rank well. The site mention keywords. Keywords are a great way to find what you are looking for in a few clicks of your computer. Once you realize what you are looking for just click onto one or more keywords and you will go right to that product. Meta tags doesn’t work well. Google doesn’t pay attention to them. Using content is good. Once the company has listed their product they need to talk about it. They should let their customers know how good their products are. Companies should educate the public about their products. Let them know how well their product works, how long it will work, and how great a value it would be for them. Let you customers feel that they would not be able to live without your product. Backlinks would be a great way to keep your products in the public eye. Never just put an ad out about your product just once. Continue to post ads about our product. Don’t let the public forget about it. Social media is one of the best ways to get your product all across the country and on. Never just use one social media site, use several. You may use Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, etc. You can also show images of your product. Let the public see what they are getting. Feedback is a great way to find out the good and bad things people are saying about your product. Word-of-mouth is a great way to do this. If someones friend has tried your product, and gave a good review, then that person may buy your product just because of what that person said.

Breaking Bad
Lets talk about Wealthsimple. Wealthsimple is a Toronto-based fintech and robo-advisar, but they don’t go around calling themselves that to impress. Instead, they use a down-to-earth approach. When pitching their money products. They know their average-age demographic, 29-year old millennials, will appreciate that. They also know they can reach that demographic on social media, with a simple communication style that communicates trustworthiness. We are #InvestingForHumans campaign. For our platforms we will be using Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Twitter. The company will interview hundreds of real people about money problems. We will use a filmmaker to get people to give their most honest on-the-spot money stories. Next we will use a backdrop of branded, plan-color walls that, together make a social media feed look like it was purposefully designed. Then we disseminate those interviews across the web, and on TV. We will use ordinary people to talk about money. Some of the interviewees will be caught off guard. We used the filmmaker to capture emotions people had about money. The results were, 1,851,028 YouTube views in five months on only one video. Their were thousands of additional views on Instagram. This interview alone got 4,863 views in five months, but their were more. When doing this you have to use language your target market understand. You don’t have to sell a product. You can sell an idea tied to your product. You can be creative by trying a social media campaign that defies the norms of your industry. Use online video. Find the talent that can represent your ideology best. Don’t just use YouTube, try Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook too. Pay for the ad to spread the video you invested in.

Reading a Good Book
I posted a picture of the front and back cover of my book. I guess you could say, I love to read and write. When I was in high school I did a lot of reading. I don’t read as much today but I still enjoy reading a good book. I like a book with adventure and excitement.I tried to write my book the same way. You can order on from Amazon. I guess people will group together when they enjoy the same things. Some people join book clubs because they all like to read. Other people may like sports. Their are so many reasons why certain groups will get together. Just to name another group, my graduation class of 1979. The class of 79 came together and started a group on Facebook. Right not we are getting together to have another reunion. It will be 40 years since we graduation. O ya, the name of my book is I Am Not My Father. Get a copy and enjoy.
