This is the largest mass killing of trans people in recorded history and “constitutes a grave breach of international humanitarian law.” Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz confirmed the strike was intentional without going into further detail.

Someone was asking in a thread what kind of people could work for ICE right now.
I think it's a good time to remember that the image above are the people who put children into gas chambers.
When I was little, I asked what kind of person could work at a concentration camp.
The answer to both questions I think is "normal people who have accepted the dehumanization of another group of people."

Alright what do we think of possessive Jekyll.
Where he sees his best friend as one of the most important people in his life. As the most important. He goes walking around town with Utterson, stays by his side at fancy parties, attached at the hip and everything. They've been besties since school so obviously they're close.
But Utterson is his friend. Do you see the vision? He's his best friend. Ft. Henry watching Gabriel talk with others casually and not understanding why he's feeling jealous. And when he joins in he makes sure to say "Gabe" or "John" very clearly when referring to Utterson, to make it clear that he's "so much closer to the man than they will ever be". Maybe he'll throw in an inside joke, or lay his hand on Utterson's shoulder. Very very discreet details of possession.
Lanyon would be his only competition. He's been friends with Utterson just as long as he has. Perhaps the two could be having tea and Utterson would look at a clock and stand up, going "Oh dear! Harry, I do apologise. I promised Lanyon I'd come visit." Jekyll would smile back and say "Not at all! Please, enjoy yourself," as if he isn't holding the cup tight enough to shatter it. Once Utterson leaves, Jekyll bitterly wonders why "Lanyon is so much more important than him". Very "Lanyon is trying to take my only friend away from me" and "Why does Utterson need anybody else?" type thoughts.
Plus Utterson doesn't like Hyde much, so the whiplash would be insane. One moment the two are close and smiling, and the next Utterson is staring into Hyde's eyes with repulsion and caution. Gabriel isn't Edward's friend, he's Henry's. Gabriel isn't his in that form. Gabriel isn't his, period. That'd drive him mad.

after you’ve been through like a string of fandoms and you’ve decided your favourite character/s for each one, there will come a day when you will list all your faves from each fandom side by side and look at them carefully and realise

What does it take to be friends with each of the Motley Crew?
Because, I would love to be friends with Quincey, Selma (they seem to be very kind people), and Adam.
I would also say Jekyll/Hyde, but they are obviously unhinged, and I would probably die, so...
It's really circumstantial. Quincey is pretty easy to make friends with. Be nice and a generally decent person and he's down to be buddies. A lot of people tend to mistake him for being bookish because he a little over formal and wears glasses. Once you are his friend he's ride or die, as Larry can attest. He sometimes clashes with his schoolmate Robert Liddell (Alice's son) but never holds petty grudges. Larry is more shy so he may take awhile to warm up to you. He prefers people who have kind of an off-beat sense of humor and don't take life too seriously. Not the most outdoorsy he prefers to hang around reading magazines and listening to music in his room so if you're good with just hanging out at each other's houses you've got a life long friend. Selma is looking for a good time. She tends to live like every day is her last and if you want to spend time with her you might want to be ready to do some hard drinking, fast driving and gambling with your life. Honestly she is a little bit of a thrill seeker. She is smart enough never to bite off more than she can chew and her risks are calculated but they are still risks. She has a touch of wanderlust and is a bit grizzled and haunted but she has a good heart. Theo is the kind of person who seems very friendly and charming but you'll discover after awhile that she's holding you at arms length. She'll never be rude or aggressive but she's not making any efforts to let you know her intimately. if SHE feels like she's vibing with you then she'll open up a bit. She might start small, little conversations about her Nan and missing Ireland and eventually work her way up to deeper more emotional topics. She wants a confidant and companion. So far her closest friends are Selma and Adam. Watson, depending on your age he may treat you more like he's your stern but kindly father than a friend. He does like adventure and gets really swept up in the excitement of a mystery. Indulge his sense of wonder and he's pretty easy to befriend. Erik, if you like music, magic tricks, are willing to recognize his genius and don't balk at his body count he's not hard to befriend. The Daroga will tell you to lower your expectations though. Erik is kind of like feral raccoon. Inexplicably there will be some mysterious noises coming from behind the walls at night, and some of your things will disappear only to reappear in odd places. He generally only comes out at night and if you startle him he will scamper away, disappearing into tight places you didn't think a whole person could fit. But he is a very polite gentleman and when he's not being a wet gremlin he's fine company.
Adam easy to make friends with as long as he believes you're being sincere. You can bond with him over going on long hikes, appreciating nature, reading poetry and debating over philosophy and literature. Jekyll/Hyde likes good people, is drawn to good people, especially if they are passionate and inquisitive. He does prefer the company of educated people and gets very impatient if he feels like the other person can't keep up with him intellectually. You have to accept that being his friend means you're going to get a lot of cattiness and petty spite. He is amused at the misfortune of others and being someone he likes doesn't make you immune to his abuse. If you can handle the fact that he's awful he can be a lot of fun and he can be very civil and congenial. He loves his work and is fascinated by the strange and the supernatural so his conversations can be very interesting.

Silly, but how would crew members do as dance partners?
Larry- pretty bad. He's kind of tall and lanky with awkwardly large hands and feet. No grace, two-left feet. But that's not even the worst part. The worst part is that he's half-assing it. He is zoning out, yawning, daydreaming. His attention is everywhere but on dancing with you. Quincey-Not bad, passable dancer though a little graceless. He's sweet and friendly and may risk giving you dip if he feels like living dangerously. Selma-get a couple drinks in her and she can throw down with the best of them. Loves high energy dancing and can't resist a good fiddle. She'll be pleasantly surprised if you offer her a slow dance and secretly she enjoys being treated like a lady. Theo-excellent dancer although she may try to lead and take the male part. Will spin you, dip you and even get a little flirty if you play your cards right. If she really likes you she'll make little moves like taking her gloves off and touching your wrist under your sleeves just to get a hint of skin contact, holding you a little tighter than is strictly appropriate and she'll kiss your hand when she's finished. Don't read too much into it though. She won't usually go further than heavy flirting and if you try to look for her after she parts from you you'll find she's vanished into thin air.
Adam-extremely nervous. The size difference is going to make him want to be overly cautious about accidentally hurting you. He'll let you lead and manages to avoid stepping on your feet but he's too busy stressing to really be good at it. Watson-a find dancer, as one might expect from a former ladies man. Despite his age he's still got it and he'll be suave and charming in ways you wouldn't have expected he could be. He may give out a little early due to a bad hip but he'll thank you for indulging him. Erik-surprisingly good. No one knows where he learned to dance but he did and he moves with quite a bit of grace. He does keep contact minimal and doesn't take any liberties. He'll thank you for dancing with him and present you with a flower he seemingly pulled out of thin air just to show off a little before he leaves. Jekyll/Hyde-a good dancer but if he gets bored he's going to stomp on your foot to amuse himself. Be careful with the spicier dances, he will push the limits for how much grinding and groping is appropriate on the dance floor. Being short also isn't going to stop him from dipping you but if you let him do that you're taking your life into your own hands. It's 50/50 he'll drop you on purpose.
