Loki update, and it involves a magical technique called sun painting.

Sun painting involves using translucent dye paint like Dye-na-flow and then manipulating the fabric to prevent the dye from setting in the sun. Friend suggested using a folding technique and wow the patterning!

And so now the skirt is done with a custom purple lining!

Need to make a few adjustments on the Bolero and then it's off to detailing and making the shoe covers

Long weekend progress! I also managed to get a bodysuit on my dress form lol.

Added the leggings for the boots with more of my dyed knit. So much layering and appliques! Also added straps crossing the back so every time I move, the whole back doesn't drop.

New is the Bolero thing. Idek what it really is but it required a lot of engineering just to keep the thing from twisting. Frankenpatterned with power mesh to keep it from moving and a ton of applique work. Just need to add the clasp and the arm bands!

I am so in love with this stupid outfit. It's so impractical.

New stash buster! Loki's second outfit from Fire Emblem Heroes

I'm finally cosplaying her! I made her staff years ago and never made it. Her second outfit inspired me and I just couldn't get it out of my mind, especially the cutscene version that looks so classy.

The bodysuit is kind of a frankenpattern between a bodysuit and halter shortie i used for Stargirl last year. The patterns are heavily altered to fit Loki's design.

Most of the gold details are triple stitched to make them stretchy. And the lavender is dyed with Dye-n-flow. Except for the gold, the fabric is cotton jersey. It's so comfy!

There also is a neckband made of swimsuit lining. There is one there lol. It has a snap in the back to make it easy to take restroom trips. Very important.

Wei Ying got into the liquor cabinet again!

Citrus Con had a quick cosplay contest this weekend. I didn't win but I sure had fun throwing on an old cosplay after work for stupid pics. The cosplay is too big. My wig is matted. But that all worked for the drunk look.

The bottles are all soda bottles from the Ren Faire and I looked very suspicious carrying things upstairs.

I love Tomoyo's outfits in Clear Card and I happened to have the Manga materials in my stash. This is 100% stash busted and includes pockets and a cute fake pin cushion. The wig is a Kasou that I pulled into pigtails with some Classe Wig photos.

I don't know how it took me this long to finally make an outfit from CCS, but I finally did it!

My stash fabric:

- shirt made for an unfinished Loid

- purple stripes for kakyoin's pj's but I didn't buy enough

- pale blue leftover from Cure White

- dark blue unknown but possibly leftover from mononoke

- medium blue from an unfinished Jojo project (and I changed my mind with which one to make)

- buttons. I always have buttons

- deep purple wig originally for Sailor Mars

New fantasy Deku vest!

My friend wanted a new one to go with the accessories I made a year or so ago. So here it is! I modified the pattern I made for Blathers' vest. And there are pockets. Can't have enough pockets!

Cure White upgrades complete! And they're magical.

I pulled all the eyelets and embroidered them with proper padding

The most noticeable upgrade is that petticoat. It is a triple layer three tier idol petticoat. Nearly 200yds and two weeks to make this. It defies gravity. It's magical. It's also removable.

I'm so happy with Cure White v2.0.

Wonder Woman!

Despite all my anime and game cosplay, I'm a huge fan of Wonder Woman. I used to watch the Lynda Carter show all the time. When the recent movie game me the blue dress, I wanted to cosplay it. It just took me this long to actually do it.

The dress is about 5 yards of jersey, most of that is in the drape. The sword hides in the back train and is supported by an elastic loop. I added a kick slip in the back to make it easy to walk.

This is completely a stash project. And I needed a breather from petticoats. And I really wanted to finally make this.

Upgrade time!

My friend's Cure White hasn't been fitting the way I wanted, and I needed to make the outfit more laundry friendly!

So far for the upgrades

- a spandex shirt for better fitting. Kept the original sequins but replaced the zipper.

- removed old petticoat. Too wimpy

- removed old eyelets. Added washer- friendly padding. Currently redoing them evenly this time.

Still lots of work to do to finish the embroidery!

The tragedy of Eulmore

We found this definitely Sin Easter statue outside the a Paris Hotel in Vegas and it reminded me of the Eulmore storyline.
