for the  LONGEST MOMENT  he can’t seem to say anything to her  .  he simply watches as she bounds down from the hillside and reaches the two of them  .  her hands are already glowing before she even reaches them and…  he wonders…  why she would bother  . 

not with naruto  .  but with him  .  after everything he’s done she’s always seemed to offer her help in some form or another  .  and it’s  CONFUSING  to the uchiha because he’s done nothing but push her away  .  it was for her own good though  ( he told himself )  . because she would only get caught up in his darkness…  OR WORSE  . 

but here she was  .  after he had just placed her under genjutsu and left her while he went off to fight naruto to the death…  she’s was such a  CONFUSING  girl and he…  he…

❝     sakura  ———     ❞  he couldn’t even  BEGIN  to apologize to her about what he’s done to her up until now  .  leaving her upon that bench after she confessed her love to him  ,  attacking her twice and just recently placing her under a horrible genjutsu  .  all in hopes that she would  UNDERSTAND  he doesn’t deserve her love and that she needed to move on  . 

but she was a  STUBBORN  girl  .  no matter what she always returned  .  and by the gods he didn’t  DESERVE  someone like her crying over him like that  .  ‘ don’t cry, sakura. ‘  he wished the words would come to fruition but they are stuck within his throat and all he can rasp out is a quiet  ,  ❝     i’m sorry…  for everything  ,  up until now  .     ❞

because he is sorry  .  he’s so sorry for doing something like that to her  .  she was the last person he ever wanted to hurt in this world  .  he doesn’t deserve to be healed by her  .  he doesn’t deserve her words of acknowledgment…  he doesn’t…  deserve…  her…

wornrevenge   ---   sasuke-kun.

❝     hnn…     ❞  he hums in response  ,  eyes drifting shut but gait keeping steady  .  it isn’t until a sound that catches his ear that he pulls  ATTENTION  forward  ,  body going taught with muscles  immediately  slipping into an offensive position  .  hand slipping from hers and grasping at the hilt of his katana  .

but what  TRULY CONFUSES the uchiha is that the sound he heard was that of  crying villagers  .  a bell rings within the distance and the faint sound of  ‘ fire ! ‘  can be caught upon the wind  .  eyes slip towards sakura, a brow raising in question  .  what had they walked into ???

        sakura hears it too,  anatomy would stay close by her husband’s,  fists clenched at her side.  as soon as the word FIRE would reach her ears,  the kunoichi is sprinting towards the village that screamed for help.   if there were people in there,  she’d need to get them out and quickly.   smoke within the lungs is more than a little task to handle.   verdant gaze meets with the burning building,  looking to be  ?  a school  ?

          heart would race,  legs once more pushing off into a sprint.    ❝    are there people trapped   ?   is everyone out   ?   ❞   she’ll demand,  glancing from the orange flames,  back to the bystanders,  crouching down to help a coughing survivor.
