Woman's day We celebrated this day with amazing sounds from the best female disc jockeys in Cape Town. The likes of SwEve, MiliBala and Melody. Women came together, stories and laughter was shared amongst many things. Thanks to Tumelo Pudumo for once again hosting an amazing event. Can't wait for the next one.

Media Conference

Today’s confrence was very insightful, having speakers whom have gone through the same journey we are currently embarking on is great! This was #CPUTMedia's 16th annaul media conference hosted, and the impact this has on the students is good. The school's media department has different faculties, there’s PublicRelations, Journalism, Photography and Film. We had a speaker representing each faculty, this enriched many students. The information is great and helpful in our current education as well as for our future career fields.

We had a platform to engage with our speakers and we asked questions about current affairs, we got information on what mediatisation is in 2018 from experts in Parliament, who discussed how mediatisation is working in politics and some speakers were from the IOL media house (Cape Argus) and they shared how they interact with society to determine what is news worthy.

Its good to know that our university is not (traditional) just about behind the desk information and that there are field trips like these where you can practically learn from experts how things work in reality and be able to relate that to your learning.

The relevence this conference brought to our attention, it was fascinating. The speakers were on point and their information was relevant.
