Todd McConnell, DDS, PA

WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO BECOME A DENTIST?

Dr. McConnell knew that he wanted to be in this profession from a very young age. The dental gene actually runs in his family – he has several family members in the dental field.He helped out at his father’s practice early on as a teenager and saw firsthand how quality dental care could improve a person’s life for the better.

WHERE DID YOU STUDY DENTISTRY?

Dr. McConnell is a proud alumnus of Texas State University, where he completed his undergraduate degree in Business. He then chose to pursue his Doctor of Dental Surgery at Case Western Reserve University, graduating in 1993.

In addition to regular schooling, he believes that continuing education is a critical part of being a dentist. Dr. McConnell has completed various courses at the prestigious Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, learning about the most advanced methods of esthetic dentistry.

He is currently a proud, involved member of the following dental organizations:

WHEN YOU’RE NOT BUSY AT THE PRACTICE, WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO?

Dr. McConnell actually met his wife at Texas State! Today, they live here in Plano and have two children – a grown daughter, who is a Baylor alumni, and a son who is currently attending Baylor. The couple is currently in the process of learning how to live with an empty nest, but they have a fun friend group known as the “Empty Nesters” that they regularly spend time with. Being around loved ones is always a priority for Dr. McConnell when he has free time outside of his work.
