Watching the Olympics on hulu is just insufferable I can barely do it for long. They play 2 minutes of ads every (what feels like) 5 minutes of sports.

As if current-day commercials in general weren’t terrible enough to watch as is, NBC is going face-deep all in on AI sponsors. Imagine seeing an ad for generative content every break, and then imagine it being harder for an anti-capitalist autistic to watch from how smug and out-of-touch every single one is. Every ad, no exaggeration, shows people havinng text generators do their office jobs for them and it’s just that simple there’s no proofreading or any other human input you have to do now.

To top it off I just witnessed a self-advertisement for NBC’s coverage narrated by a directly stated *ai voice of one of their presenters*. As if it was really just that hard to just get the guy from your own company to say some simple lines.

It takes work to be worse than the ads showing olympians running hard just to be about selling a car.

one thing you need to know about me is that if there is ever a climbable surface within my reach i can, must and will climb it. i cannot deny this part of my nature any more than i can live without air in my lungs. whether it be a pile of rocks, a tree in the woods, a condemned building, ancient crumbling ruins or a church roof, don't invite me anywhere with a structure that can be climbed onto unless you want to see me scampering up it like that disgusting little freak from the lord of the rings the second there's an opportunity for me to do so.
