We know for a fact US border patrol agents freely discuss their disdain for the immigrants THEY OVERSEE, even going so far as to advocate killing them. They’re not even being ordered by Trump to do this directly! They begged Trump to let them do WORSE.

This entire situation really challenges the “I just did what I was told!” argument used by anyone who aided or was responsible for the biggest atrocities in history. When you voluntarily join these murderous positions and gleefully express you love what you do, are you really just “following orders”? Maybe, just maybe, it’s less about following orders, and more about finding a legal way to act on your reactionary beliefs.

I’m also really tired of these same supposedly “progressive” people not acknowledging or apologizing for overstepping boundaries, participating in racism, and just turning a blind eye to it rather than try to do better.

Like honestly it has been a pretty rough couple of months for Native people and then to have celebrities or Youtubers with massive platforms pull this disrespectful stunt without even thinking about the indigenous people on the same social media platform is pretty exhausting.
