my BOY specs is UNDERAPPRECIATED so IVE decided to make HEADCANONS for him

total sci fi nerd. star wars, star trek, back to the future, interstellar… he LOVES all of it. he also reads comics and graphic novels, mostly sci fi ones too.

i like him as a biromantic asexual/demisexual. but he literally doesn’t mention it to anyone. not because he’s closeted, but because he doesn’t feel the need to talk about it really.

^^^ the exception to this is in online debates about which identities ‘belong’ in the community (these debates are stupid btw) specs will be like “AS A BI PERSON, i myself have no problem with pan/aroace/(insert sexuality/gender identity), we aren’t being ‘invalidated’, that’s literally not factual.”

he shops at old navy. AND he has tons of denim; overalls, jean jackets, jeans, etc.

he has a library card and visits the public library often. like, so often that all the employees know him by name and have conversations with him. he borrows books obviously, but he also does homework/work there

specs is the kind of person who watches kid shows, but only the educational ones. wild kratts, octonauts, and the magic school bus are his favorites (IM PROJECTING I LOVE THESE SHOWS)

really nice until you touch his glasses without asking. it’s a pet peeve of his.

i think a queer platonic relationship (qpr) looks different for each person. so like it could be essentially a relationship without kissing and stuff. it could also be basically best friends. depends on the people.

i think a qpr is about commitment and prioritization, similar to a romantic relationship, and the people involved are typically very open with each other. THINK ‘platonic soulmates’ i guess

any boundaries or ‘rules’ would have to be discussed by the people involved, which i guess would be similar to open/poly relationships

i think generally it’s a term that people on the aroace spectrum use. cause it’s a commitment to a person (or people) but isn’t romantic or sexual. according to google, people in a qpr CAN identify as straight, though. it’s more about the nature of the relationship that makes it a qpr
