To All of My Lovelies,
As some of you have noticed, I’ve chosen to leave Fallen Heroes of my own volition to pursue my promising life of crime take care of personal matters that have arisen in my life. There is every possibility I may be back, but that may not be for quite some time.
This message is to thank each and every one of you, new and old, who have all not only welcomed me into your writing lives, but filled my days with delight, feels, and wonderful memories I will take with me wherever I go. Thank you to the friends I’ve made along the way- you are all incredible people with more talents and abilities than I think you know about. And to those I never really talked to, I want you to know that I respect you all immensely, that I hope you find friends here just as I have, and that you have fun with writing whichever characters you call yours.
Life is all about kicking ass and taking names, you guys. So kick ass every day, and do something that makes you happy. You all deserve such a life.
With love to each and every one of you,
Sharon Carter, Leopold Fitz, Ayrika Johnson

Normally those who attempted to make Aksel did nothing more than attempt, it was very rare that one could succeed, even if Just a small bit. this Leo Fitz character seemed to be quite the exception to the rule. He couldn’t keep the corner of his mouth from quirking up into a smirk. The Scot had a point, people could have been hurt, and badly knowing how midgardians injured. Perhaps this was the best thing he’s done since coming to the realm.
“If you’re certain.” Aksel responded skeptically as the Scot nursed his hands. He needed to be careful here, people weren’t built the same here as at home, a bit more delicate. Mind your strength now, he could hear his mothers words echoing through his mind. If there were ever a point in his life where those words were most pertinent it would be now.
Aksel couldn’t help but let out a chuckle stifled behind his smirk, “As of now fondly is the only way I can think of you. After all, you’ve been nothing but kind to this lumbering outsider.” He added before he went to pat Leo on the back before pausing a moment and approaching much more slowly and carefully; just as mother would have told him to.
Seeing Aksel’s smile made Leo’s grow in return. It wasn’t every day he got an Asgardian to smile, and when he did he took it as a source of personal pride. But it was always nice to make anyone smile- not just an Asgardian... it typically meant Leo was doing something right.
With a happy nod, Leo proved how certain he was. Fingers were the least of his worries, really. “Jus’ don’ smack ma head, please? Anythin’ bu’ ma head.” He exaggerated, hoping that the Asgardian would take the hint and keep his hands below the neck. He didn’t need the guy to feel guilty for potentially killing a small Scotsman.
“Hey now, you’re not so lumberin’! There’s some grace in that walk!” He chuckled, crossing his ankles over one another and running a hand through his curls. “Also, fondly is like a great way ta think o’ me. I’ve been called a lil’ uh... lil’... y’-y’know... small thing. That’s uh, related? Small related thin’.... d’ya know what I’m thinkin’ of?”

Fitz & Page Baked Goods. It does have a good ring to it. The question is… Do you bake? I mean, I’m alright, but those kid baking champions make me feel strangely ill-equipped.
What about Page and Fitz; I like that one much better.
I can bake! My mum didn’t waste time in the kitchen with me for nothing! C’mon Karen, I’ll teach you. It’ll be a snap once you get the hang of it.

“If you are certain, Leo Fitz…” Despite being told it wasn’t his fault the guilt of the acident was still a hard thing to shake; which was nothing new. If he had grown up on earth chances are he would have been Catholic. Aksel had always confessed when he was in the wrong even after that what he did would still hang over his shoulder for the following few days.
He raised his brows as Leo Fitz began his sentence. “You needn’t apologize.” He added with a friendly smile before immediately releasing the mortals hand. “Oh my! I’m sorry, that happens all the time. I need to get better about containing myself. Even among the other Asgardians he was known for not knowing his own strength, especially in handshakes and hugs.
His arms crossed his chest one more so he wouldn’t accidentally hurt Leo Fitz, again. “Oh you exaggerate!” He said chuckling slightly to Leo Fitz’s compliment as he made his way for the bench; it would have been impolite not to. “There are countless warriors like me in Asgard and countless bakers here. Now engineering sounds like quite the feat, does it not?” He preferred to keep the conversations on other rather than himself, he didn’t find himself all too interesting, nor a package.
“Course I’m certain! That guy needed ta stop, an’ I’m glad ya made ‘im. Jus’ think o’ who else coulda gotten hurt if ya didn’t step in. People shoulda been thankin’ ya left an’ right.” He shrugged, knowing fully well that people probably wouldn’t have. People were odd on a good day, jerks ordinarily.
Leo took a quick moment to shake out his fingers, knowing that they would be hurting when the blood rushed back into his digits. Regardless, he was alright. Grant’s handshake was just a few steps below this guy’s, so really. Not too bad. He smiled, shrugging gently at the man’s apology. “Hey, it’s alrigh’. You’re jus’ hella strong. Ma fingas will bounce back, promise.”
As they spoke, Fitz sank onto the bench, looking up to the man with a small smile. Fitz knew he wasn’t wrong about his observation, but humility was a gift that he was surprised to see in an Asgardian. “Sure, keep tellin’ yoursel’ that. Bu’ when ladies drop at ya feet, think o’ me fondly.” He raised his brows, laughing at his joke as he thought over Aksel’s comment on engineering. “Eh, ya make stuff. Weapons, tools, anythin’, really. It’s fun. At leas’, I enjoy it.”

Skye looked looking at her friend with a smile. She knew that after the accident he having trouble expressing himself. The accident was something that they both could never forget. That was something that she didn’t know that she could ever forgive Ward for.
She sat silently thinking about what his plan was. It seemed simple, but there was always something that could go wrong.
“I think that it could work. Did the doctors say if there was anything else that you could do?”
“Y’know what they say. I can’ do anythin’. This is jus’ somethin’ they want me ta live with, or try ta correct through surgery. I’ve gone through months o’ speech therapy, enough physical therapy ‘or a lifetime, an’ everythin’ else. I jus’ don’ wanna live like that, y’know?” He frowned looking up at Skye hopefully.
The risks associated with the surgery were terrifying, of course. But he wanted this to be over. He didn’t want to constantly apologize for something he had no control over. He just wanted to move on and be happy with his life. And no, if there was another option he would have looked into it- maybe even try to perfect it. But this? He had nothing but faith to hold onto.
Skye knew about his struggles too. She knew how flushed he would get, or how many times he would jerk on his hair to try and force the words out. If there was a chance this could help, why not try it? “So you’re with me? Even if this ends up makin’ me speak in ma American accent ‘or tha rest o’ ma life?”

You know, I swear they make their shows purposefully addictive. It’s like Netflix gets some sort of personal satisfaction in a binge.
Something tells me their profits go through the roof. I don’t know... but I love it too much to question. Did you know they had baking shows up? I wanna be a baker now. Want to come help me bake?

Just when Aksel thought the day was all going to be down hill there was a little bit of a bright side showing itself, or rather himself. When the Scot first approached him he had simply assumed it was just another pair of those judgmental eyes coming over here to declare him a villain that should go back to where he came from; fortunately that was far from the case.
Chest still puffed out as the man asked for a moment he gave a simple nod, “You may.” he responded waiting for insults and threats a plenty. As the man began to speak his tense shoulders began drop and his arms were no longer so tightly folded.
“I… I din’t realize you were so close behind me, I’m truly sorry f I put you in any danger.” He stammered out. He had noticed someone was behind him for quite sometime, but towards the end his thoughts got the better of him.
“Shebang?” He muttered quietly before he extended his arm and shook Leo Fitz’s hand - Perhaps a touch to hard- as he introduced himself. “Aksel son of Aslaug, resident asgardian, baker, and warrior… The whole shebang…” He added questioning if that was a common phrase or something traditional for these “Scots” to use.
While speaking, Leo took special notice in the man’s body language. He was calming down, relaxing as Fitz spoke. Odd, though maybe not unexpected. The accent soothed many a people... and he wasn’t insulting the man for being different. Out of the two options, it was most likely the latter that helped the man the most.
“Nah, not your fault. I was tha one close; don’ apologize ‘or ma mistake!” Fitz chuckled, wanting to wave away the man’s concern as quickly as possible. He didn’t need to feel so guilty over a small incident. It could have been worse, but he fixed it. Simple, no problem.
Aksel’s handshake caught Fitz off-guard, but he chose to cry out inwardly instead of out. So his hand was now a little crushed... in the grand scheme of things, not too bad. Just a little painful, little inconvenient. “You have got tha, tha uh... sorry. I uh, this happens a lot ta me. That hand of yours... very strong.” He grinned, offering half a shrug at his words. It wasn’t exactly what he meant, but the idea was there.
“So lemme get this straight,” Leo started, beginning to meander over towards a bus bench. “You’re Asgardian, an’ a warrior, an’ a baker. Forget tha shebang, you’re a freakin’ package!” Leo laughed, clapping his hands together at the thought. “I swear if ya tell that ta anyone, especially tha ladies, they’ll be runnin’ straight ‘or ya. That’s amazin’, Aksel.”
