Ohai! Did this little sketch of a satanic leaf gecko from a little while ago that I quite liked so I thought I'd share 😊 Lots of projects in progress atm, looking forward to sharing them when they're done!

Making progress! I'm still getting used to posting this stage but I do thoroughly enjoy retopo-ing. It's also nice to show the details that go into making these kinds of 3D models. I wouldn't normally go this hard but it's a Digimon, gotta give it the special treatment ✨

With Digimon Story: Time Stranger getting announced for this year, I figured I should get a move on with this Hydramon project I started last year! Will see how far I get with everything else going on atm 😆

Incredibly excited for this new installment in the Digimon Story series. Would be awesome if it's in the game, would 100% be on my team along with Darkdramon and Jesmon (and maybe xiangpengmon if it's added 👀). Anyone else going to be playing it?

Happy Year of the Snake!!

Absolutely 10/10 keen for this year. It's a super lucky one ⭐ And seeing so many beautiful snake artworks already is so hecking awesome! Going to continue to do my best as the year progresses! Enjoy 😊

It's been a long time coming! This project started while my fiancé was playing Runeterra last year. He showed me the Wily Newtfish which I immediately loved and wanted to try modelling it 🤣 I started making a low poly mesh at first but I had to shelve it because there were higher priority tasks to do. I finally picked it up again this year and I'm so happy with how it looks!

I'll get some more renders of the newtfish individually, going to beef up my computer setup first which I'm super excited for.

A special project, my fiance's engagement ring 🐍

Before getting engaged earlier this year, my fiance and I wanted to each make a ring to give to each other. He chose to create mine from one of the beach stones I'd collected and I 3D modelled his that was metal cast! It features a red belly black ouroboros, one of his favourite snakes.

I'm over the moon with how the ring turned out (it was a smiiiidge delayed but worth it!) and I'm so glad he loves it too, I had a plan B prepared just in case the cast didn't work but it looks like I didn't need to worry!

Bringing back the little infographics again 🦎

We always hear little chirping noises coming from the roof, but we rarely get to see which type(s) of geckos we have hiding up there....

I started thinking more about them and their features so I thought I'd share my findings 😊  Enjoy!

Amethyst albino tegu morph (Salvator rufescens) against the green 🌿

The massive jowls seen on the lower jaw of adult male tegu are the ventral pterygoideus muscles, used for closing the jaws. That makes for a pretty strong bite! 

The little rainbow is done! Between the other little personal projects this was a fun chill time 😌 Hope you enjoyed it too!

Japanese cave gecko/spotted ground gecko (Goniurosaurus orientalis) with a splash of blue 💧

Unfortunately the japanese cave gecko, along with 5 other subspecies are listed as endangered. Conservation efforts have been made to prevent poaching and put a halt to illegal trade!

Fun fact: the yokai called Imori are the ghosts of deceased warriors who returned as geckos!

Leopard gecko (Eublepharis macularius) with a contrasting purple 🪻

Compared to other gecko species, the leopard gecko is unable to climb smooth vertical walls! This is due to the absence of lamellae on the toepads, which contain keratinaceous filaments (setae) that allow adhesion. The more you know!

This one felt super weird to do, I'm not used to such a strong purple. I'm not sure whether I like it but I'm glad I tried it 😄 I think I'm over halfway done with the rainbow, it's nice to work on something so cute and colourful. I hope you're enjoying it too!

Albino japanese rat snake (Elaphe climacophora) with some pink for the cherry blossoms 🌸

Indonesian blue tongue (tiliqua gigas) with a side of orange 🍊

The tongue usually starts off a light shade of blue that changes to pink over time!

Last year I created some entries for the Pokemon TCG illustration competition, and now I can finally share them!

As soon as I saw that feraligatr was in the lineup I was keen 😆 Even though they didn't make it through I'm glad I entered, and that provides fuel to try again next time!
