Which brings me to my next point which is that it is actually crazy that they’re sending out the tour as a level 5 tour which means the minimum they could pay is $1,077 a week. Sure people can negotiate higher but to my understanding tier 5 is the lowest Union tour level and for shows that are maybe not as financially viable which give me a break. Maybe if they were planning on pricing tour tickets lower but we all know that’s not happening. And I know it’s not quite the same thing but the cursed child tour is paying 2,500/week minimum, definitely has a higher operating cost, and I just got a ticket for $50 and the highest were going for like $250. You could argue that the cursed child has more investors footing the bill but that doesn’t change the fact that making the outsiders tier 5 is ridiculous.

ponyboy haaaaates the Waltons because it gave Steve amo. everywhere he turns it’s “goodnight John-boy” this “goodnight John-boy” that
(The Walton’s was a series on cbs from the 70s and the lead was a guy named John-boy who loves to read and write. The most well known part of the show is the episode endings where there’s an exterior shot of the Walton house and everyone says goodnight to each other)

Update, I made pretzel pizza and it’s lowkey good
I have to imagine if they had access to a microwave (they definitely didn’t the first countertop microwaves were bonkers expensive like the Amana Radarange was $499 in 1970s dollars) the Curtis brothers would have absolutely destroyed a pretzel pizza a la Vic Michaelis.
That’s a bed of Rold Gold pretzel sticks topped with Ragu marinara sauce and cheese and microwaved for 3-5 mins (you want the cheese to disappear)

Ponyboy once got into a heated argument with a classmate over the proper reading order of the Narnia books. His classmate insisted that reading them chronologically made the most sense. Ponyboy heard that and immediately went NO.
He is of the mine that despite The Magician’s Nephew coming first chronologically, learning the origins of Narnia hold a lot more weight once you’ve been introduced to the rest of the world. He actually doesn’t care all that much when you read The Horse and His Boy. But The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe must come first and The Magician’s Nephew must be read last before The Last Battle. End of story.
He feels very strongly about the symbolism and whatnot you would miss if you read the Magician’s Nephew before the first four books published.
Everyone makes fun of him for caring so much about something so silly. But, it’s not silly to him. His mom read them to him when he was younger. And yeah, it did rock his world when he learned that the boy from the Magician’s Nephew was the Professor.
#his world was also rocked when all of the main characters died in a freaking train accident in the last book#I would argue that the magicians nephew should be read last#the horse and his boy should be between the wardrobe and prince caspian though#ponyboy curtis#the outsiders#the outsiders musical#the outsiders broadway

Idk guys I just think that Phil Dunster would make a really good Middle Noah. I don’t think the Notebook is a getting a West End transfer but you know if it was. Or if they make a Notebook musical movie which you know yeah I think has potential to be good. But what do I know. He would slay leave the light on, though.

I just know that in ‘77 Darrel Curtis was shocked to his core when he learned that former NFL player Merlin Oleson was now playing an 19th century farmer in Minnesota on Little House on the Prairie.
(Okay, maybe Merlin Oleson played for the Rams and wouldn’t be on the radar of anyone in Oklahoma. But he played from ‘62-‘76 and allegedly was the NFL rookie of the year in ‘62 but that information might not be right. Whatever.)

Minimal snooping later I have a pretty good hunch that this is the Marcia turtleneck. In person I think the color is a little lighter. But the details around the neckline look about the same as the shirt in the photos of Marcia. Additionally, it has been established that other costume pieces have come from Amazon so it’s not too far fetched to think that they got this from there too. I just thought it was cool so here:

After some sleuthing (if you can even call it that) I can say with 99.9% certainty that the Paul sweater is just an Amazon Essentials sweater. If you Google “v neck yellow sweater men” it’s like the first thing that comes up. And I don’t have photographic proof but when RJ made his Paul debut he posted a picture that had the sweater tag and they match. So here:

It is Monday, February 4, 1980 and 27 year old Ponyboy Curtis decides to turn on the TV. A little before 8 pm he starts flipping channels and eventually lands on NBC. Little House on the Prairie is on. He’s seen a few episodes and is in general indifferent to the show, but he thinks why not.
But this is not any episode of Little House on the Prairie. This is the premier of Season 6, Episode 18: “May We Make them Proud Part 1”.
The episode of Little House on the Prairie where Laura’s adopted brother Albert leaves a lit cigar in the basement of the school for blind children causing the school to go up in flames that night. Hester Sue, Adam, and Caroline get most of the children out and to safety while Mary goes to get her baby out of their upstairs bedroom. Alice Garvey tells Mary she’ll get the baby, but then gets sidetracked helping one of the students who got locked in the bathroom get out. By the time Alice Garvey gets the baby the fire has spread too much and they are trapped in the bedroom. Hester Sue looks on in horror as she realizes that Alice and the baby are still in the school. Realizing where their child is, Adam and Mary begin to panic, but it’s too late and Alice Garvey and the baby die in the fire.
Ponyboy turned off the episode after the first fifteen minutes and let’s just say that he is not well after seeing that.
What the hell Michael Landon?
#this is a very niche thing to know about in detail#little house on the prairie is a deranged show#something horrible happens in almost every episode#the character of Albert has the worst luck of any tv show#he will go on to get addicted to morphine and then die of leukemia#this isn’t funny in particular#that episode is just kind of absurd#what a wild way to write out a character#the outsiders broadway#the outsiders musical#ponyboy curtis

Ponyboy, Soda, and Darry are religious Ed Sullivan watchers out of habit because their parents were always tuned in on Sundays at 7 pm. Sometimes it’s just background noise but other times they all sit around the TV and watch it together. Darry kind of just watches it ‘cause it’s on. Ponyboy likes some of the music, but mainly watches it ‘cause it reminds him of his parents. Soda finds something to like about anything and everything and is always locked in.
Ponyboy and Darry could be there, about to loose their minds, watching Liberace do what Liberace does and Soda is having the most fun someone has ever had watching a man in a bedazzled cape play the piano.
#is this once again too niche?#I have gone down many an Ed Sullivan rabbit hole on YouTube#Not sure what kind of music Ponyboy would like but he is Elvis’ number one op#soda is a shameless beach boys fan and loves him some Kim sisters#who said that?#the outsiders broadway#the outsiders musical#the outsiders#ponyboy curtis#darrel curtis#sodapop curtis

Not to brand myself as the
✨ survivor girl ✨
but…
Soda would be a Sam fan (he too did not try a variety of fruits until the age of 24)
Marcia would be a Rachel fan
Cherry would have had her money on Genevieve
Darrel is partial to Kyle
Pony liked Andy (and then immediately regretted it after the first episode and ultimately become at peace with operation Italy)
#is this too niche#survivor x outsiders Crossover#I like to imagine that the Curtis bros have been watching survivor since 2000#soda was the closest to almost getting on the show#he would have been voted out immediately if he got on though#bonus points for ace hating soda at first for similar teeny/sam one sided beef reasons?#the outsiders musical#the outsiders#cherry valance#darry curtis#sodapop curtis#marcia the outsiders
