What is the best way to wash bicycle grease stains? http://letslaundry.com/
Grease is tough to remove, but not impossible. You can definitely salvage your threads without settling for a grease spot for the next 20 wash cycles. Be wary of letting any stuff sit on the grease for too long, or next you’ll be dealing with a new stain or discoloration on your clothes.
Make a paste of Ajax dish soap and baking powder, then rub into the stain using an old toothbrush. Let it sit for about 5 minutes before washing as usual.
On set grease: sprinkle some baby powder, let it set a while, shake out, wash as usual
On fresh grease: a dot of laundry detergent, rub, wash as usual
Sprinkle cornstarch on freshly greased clothes. Let it soak up the grease for a while, then shake it out, slop some dishwashing liquid on there and wash as usual
Dribble a little bit of your shampoo (brand agnostic) on the stain, rub and wash as usual

Never wash brand new bold colored clothes with lightly colored clothes. The deep bold colors on on clothing is more likely to bleed onto lighter ones, more so when they are brand new. Washing in cold water can help but it isn’t a perfect solution. It is not a good idea to wash whites with colored clothes if you want your white clothes to stay white. Cold water washing will not make clothes bleed color like hot water will. Color transfer can still happen when using only cold water so it is best to keep colors and whites separated. But if you are washing along with old or faded color clothes you can take a chance, white vinegar in the final rinse (you can put it in the fabric softener dispenser or add it manually to the final rinse) will help to 'set' color so it is less likely to be transferred in future wash loads. 1 cup of vinegar per a full load (1/4 cup per small load, 1/2 per medium load) would be sufficient. If you dry them together, only turn the colored clothes right side out.
Hope you find this helpful.

How often should you do your laundry? http://letslaundry.com/
Simply smelling or looking at clothes doesn't always do the trick, but washing something too often can shorten its lifespan as well. Here are some tips along with their wear categories to decide when it's time to toss items into the laundry basket to keep better hygiene.
Your Private Stuff We know we don’t need to tell you to wash your underwear, socks, and undershirt after every wear. Pajamas can withstand up to four wears, and robes are about the same, as they should be treated like towels and switched out every week at least. Oh, and while we have you, wash your sheets on a weekly basis as well. There’s no point in diligently washing your clothes if you’re sleeping in dirty sheets at the end of the day.
Your Office Clothes Your suit can last for about four to five wears before it needs to go to the dry cleaner. Your button-down shirts can last for three to four wears, especially if you’re an undershirt guy. Shirts don’t always need to go to the dry cleaner. Just ask your dry cleaner to skip the starch so they last longer.
Your Off-Duty Clothes
Pants and sweaters can stand about five wears before they need to go in the wash. T-shirts and Henleys are good for one to two wears, depending on how much you sweat. Jeans can go a whole season without needing a wash—but do wash them occasionally. Stinky jeans are not good for business
Your Workout Clothes
Cotton T-shirts, shorts, socks, and anything else that gets soaked in sweat should get washed after every wear, but if your sport of choice is more low impact or if the garment is made from a performance fabric like water-resistant nylon, you can stretch it to every few wears. Don’t forget to wash your gym bag once a month as well.
Your Winter Gear
Most jackets and coats should be laundered once a season, but if you live in a city, spend a lot of time outdoors, or are wearing it every day, a mid-season rinse might be in order. Down, wool, and canvas coats don’t always need to be professionally laundered, but leather and suede should be handled by a pro. Don’t forget to wash winter hats, scarves, and gloves about once a month during the cold season. Just think of how many places they’ve been, and you’ll understand the need.
Hope you find this helpful.

How do you get blood out of clothing?
It is easy to remove stains from clothing. Remember never to rub the stain as it will only spread. Here are a few tips that can help you:
Working from the back of the fabric, vigorously flush the stain under warm running water. Mix a solution of one part liquid hand dishwashing detergent to one part warm water. Sponge the stain with the detergent solution, tamping it vigorously, rinse. Repeat until no more ink is removed. If the stain remains, try blotting with acetone(not good for all fabric).
Apply a non-gel toothpaste on the stained portion and then wash it with water.
You can soak the stained portion of the cloth in milk for half an hour. After this, wash with a detergent.
Warm the glycerine slightly. Apply to the stain, then wash with water. You can also add a few drops of ammonia.
Try soaking the stained portion of the cloth in alcohol for a few minutes before washing the garment.
A nail-polish remover can also be used.
Hope you find this helpful.

How do you remove lint from woolly clothes?????
http://letslaundry.com/
Washing your clothes too often can lead to more lint on your clothes, as each washing causes the threads on your clothing to loosen and build up. Try to wash clothing you know is prone to lint less often. Overwashing your clothing can damage it in other ways so less washing is best.
If you don’t want to buy link roller to remove lint, there is other way as well. You can use common household objects to remove lint, such as scotch tape or any other sticky, adhesive tape. Fold a piece of the tape over so it has two sticky sides and then put one sticky side on your finger. Use your finger to remove lint on your black clothing.
You can also remove lint by using a pumice stone. Traditionally used to get rid of dead skin on your feet, pumice stones can also work to remove lint on clothing.

Get house paint out of your clothes!!
How to remove paint from clothing also depends upon the kind of fabric of clothing & also on type of paint you are dealing with. Here are some ways that generally works on many clothes.
Working from the back of the fabric, vigorously flush the stain under warm running water. Mix a solution of one part liquid hand dishwashing detergent to one part warm water. Sponge the stain with the detergent solution, tamping it vigorously, rinse. Repeat until no more paint is removed. If the stain remains, try blotting with acetone(not good for all fabric).
Another way to remove paint in much complicated situation.
If your clothing has many layers of dried paint, you can use tape to remove many of them, it should bring the dried paint with it. If latex paint is the case, latex paint is a mixture of water and acrylic, so there is a good chance you can remove fresh paint with water, rinse the stain with warm running water. Begin rinsing from the back of the fabric. Rub or scrape at the paint as you rinse to loosen its hold and to help the water get through the stain. Apply a cleansing solution to the stain(A mixture of hand soap and dish washing detergent makes a great paint cleanser, especially for fresh stains, in case of dried stain, use hairspray or isopropyl alcohol to remove the paint)
