Trois Familia -- Silver Lake - Los Angeles, CA
Known for the Breakfast/Lunch (not just brunch!) and their French/Mexican fusion, Trois Familia was opened by Chef Ludo (Trois Mec) and Jon & Vinny (Animal). Open from 10am-3pm, they serve an interesting mix of ingredients, from hashbrown chilaquiles to a Mexican crepe. I enjoyed my meal here. It is a tad bit expensive (Lots of people complained about it on Yelp!), but you get good food, cool atmosphere, and a unique fusion experience. Not many people can say they had French Mexican Cuisine!
I recommend getting here early, especially on the weekends, or be prepared to wait. Go check Trois Familia out!

LA Weekly’s “The Essentials” - A collection of LA’s best restaurants gathered together to serve small plates, wine, beer, and mixed drinks!
I enjoyed my time at The Essentials, but It was so busy. If you ever go, be prepared to wait in line, to get inside AND to get food. Still, it was fun and I got to try dishes from restaurants I’ve wanted to go to. Now I want to go even more!

Shabu Shabu Dinner from Joon Shabu Shabu in Glendale, CA - It was good. They have multiple sauces to dip in or flavor the broth with, but I wish the beef was higher quality (I did choose their cheaper cut, so that may be my fault!)
