Fifth Third Bank is one of the largest financial institutes today but as their third quarter has ended they noticed a drop in the income interest. The bank's interest dropped from 3.22% to 2.98% in the third quarter and is expected to drop even more by the year-end. The bank interest percentage is calculated based on “the difference between the interest banks earn on loans and pay out on deposits”. Hopefully with 2023 about to come to an end, Fifth Third will be able to take what they learned this year and improve their percentage at the start of 2024.
