Prolonged strong wind warning until tomorrow morning
The Captaincy of Port of Funchal extended the strong wind warning scheduled for the Region until 06:00 tomorrow. According to information from the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere (IPMA), the wind should blow from north/fresh north/northeast (31-39km/h) to very cool (40-50km/h), sometimes strong (51-61km/h). The visibility is foreseen good to moderate and, with regard to the ripple, are planned, for the north coast, north/northeast waves of 2 to 3 meters and, to the south coast, waves south of 1 meter. The Captaincy recommends: - Strengthen the mooring and maintain a tight surveillance of the moored and founded vessels; - Avoid walks by the sea or in areas exposed to maritime bustle, such as the shelter jetties of ports, cliffs or beaches, avoiding being surprised by a wave; - Do not practice the activity of recreational fishing, especially with the cliffs and cliff areas often affected by the bursting of the waves, always bearing in mind that under these conditions the sea can easily reach seemingly safe areas. . . . #strongwind #LevadaMadeira #LevadasDaMadeira #CaminhoDasLevadas #LevadaWalk #LevadaHike #TrilhosMadeira #HikingMadeira #MadeiraTrails #MadeiraIslandHiking #WalkingInMadeira #NaturezaMadeira #PaisagensDaMadeira #NatureLovers #WaterfallsMadeira #FlorestaLaurissilva #MadeiraViews #MadeiraNature #VerdeMadeira #CaminhadaNaNatureza #ExploraMadeira
