Kicken was not having that good of a day and craftycorn wanted to do something to cheer him up so before kicken knew it craftycorn uses her magic to slide a paintbrush on his tummy craftycorn then goes all out and takes all her paintbrushes and slides them all over kickens tickle spots turning him into a rainbow then it ends with a hug.

how does this sound?

I love this idea! Also, I apologize for the disappearance. I just started a new job. I work at a greenhouse/field at it's a lot of work. To make things even better, I also have to work outside in the hot sun. But it's not all bad. At least I get free produce! Poe Headcanons! 🐦‍⬛🌩

These headcanons are based on the cartoon version of this character, not the game version.

Poe is often cold, distant, sarcastic and always seems to be in a foul mood. No matter what, they will always find something to gripe about.

Their pronouns are they/them and they get very upset if someone misgenders them. They chose the name Poe as their old name "didn't match them at all."

While the Nightmare Critters don't have an official leader, Poe is usually the one to take charge. They say it's because "all of them are equal, unlike someone..." but in reality the group can never agree on a leader because they always fight about it.

They have a major victim complex. If someone ever calls out their bad behavior, they'll make up some generic sob story about having a "traumatic past" and how their "just misunderstood."

Their best friend is Baba Chops. The two love to go on walks through graveyards and other spooky locations. Although Poe often acts very clingy to Baba and gets upset when she refuses to hang out.

Poe has a deep hatred for Catnap. Nobody seems to know why. One theory is two used to be best friends but Catnap left to join the Smiling Critters.

They also have it out for DogDay, claiming "His saccharine sunny shtick makes makes me want to vomit." Perhaps they're upset at him for stealing their best friend...

They are straight up cruel sometimes. They'll tell you exactly what they think of you and usually it isn't nice.

Their favorite food is black licorice.

Their favorite song is Heathens by twenty on pilots.

A Playful Little Puppy

You were looking after DogDay while his parents were out of town. The two of you were in the backyard, playing fetch together. You wound up and threw the ball as far as you could. It sailed high into the air and landed in some bushes. "I'll get it!" DogDay said. He returned about a minute later with ball, covered head to tail in dirt and mud. The poor puppy was shivering but he still tried to keep a smile on his face. "I-I got it..." He stammered.

You gasped, asking him if he was alright and demanding to know what happened. "I-I sl-slipped and f-fell in a puddle. But I'm okay! C-Can we keep pl-playing please?" He asked with a pair of pitiful puppy-dog eyes. You almost caved in but managed to stay strong. You told him you could keep playing after he took a bath. DogDay sighed but agreed. You picked up the pup and carried him inside.

After giving him a bath, you decided to keep playing. Only this time, you decided to stay inside so DogDay wouldn't get dirty again. You two were having fun when you looked up at the clock on the wall and saw it was getting late. You told DogDay it was time for bed. "Aww...But I'm not tired yet!" He whined. But you didn't want to hear it. DogDay continued to protest but you stood your ground.

Finally, DogDay sighed, slumping his shoulders in defeat. "Alright, fine. I'll go to bed..." He mumbled. Then, suddenly, he took off like a rocket. "But you'll have to catch me first!" You rolled your eyes. You decided to play along since maybe the pup might tire himself out. You chased him upstairs into his room. You knew he was hiding in there somewhere.

You looked under the bed. Nothing.

You looked in the toy box. Nothing.

Then you heard something. It sounded like giggling and it was coming from the closet. You sauntered over and knocked on the door, asking if anyone was there. You heard a bunch of giggles followed by a nervous "Nooo..." Okay then! You would just leave and—Hey, wait a minute!

You threw open the door and revealed DogDay, who was giggling up a storm. He tried to make a run for it but he didn't get far before he was picked up and gently thrown on the bed. You then trapped him in a hug, causing him to squeal and squirm in your arms. "Hey! Let me go!" He whined. You told him you couldn't do that. He'd had his fun now it was bedtime.

"No way! I'm never gonna go to bed! I want to play all night!" He retorted, crossing his arms and sticking his tongue out at you. You were surprised by his behavior. Then, you got an idea. A wicked smirk crossed your face as you looked down at him. Fine. If he was going to stay up all night, he could. But he'd have to be careful. Because everyone knows that monsters come out at night. "M-Monsters?" He stammered.

Yes! Monsters that will eat up a little pup like him. Including the most ruthless and dangerous monster of all...The dreadful, infamous...The one and only...Tickle Monster!

As soon as those words left your mouth, your finger dug into his sides, poking and squeezing in random patterns. DogDay jolted, slamming his arms down to protect his flanks as giggles poured from his mouth. "Ehehehe! Nohoho! Nahahat the Tickle Monster! Plehehease!" He begged, squirming around. Although he didn't seem to be trying to escape. You told him that Tickle Monsters feeds on its prey's laughter before eating them but you planned to devour all of his delicious giggles before eating him. "Hahaha! Wahahait! Don't eat mehehe!"

Then, you went for his tummy. The poor puppy squealed as you tickled one of his weakest spots. His hands grabbed your wrists as he tried to push you away. "HAHAHAHA! NOHOHOHO! NAHAHAT THE BELLY! NOHOHOT THEHERE!" Yes! Right there on his cute little belly! It deserved all the tickles! Tickle tickle tickle~

"HAHAHAHA! NYAHAHA! IT TICKLES SO MUCH! PLEHEHEASE!"

You slowed your attack to a stop but didn't make an effort to release him. You agreed to let him go if he agreed to go to be. Unsurprisingly, he refused. Suddenly, DogDay launched a sneak attack and started tickling your sides. You were so caught of guard, you fell backwards on the bed, giggling like crazy. "Hehehe! Hahaha! Hey! Whahahat are yohohou doing?"

"Getting my revenge! Now it's your turn, friend!" You were taken aback as DogDay quickly moved to your stomach, giggling along with you as you laughed out loud. "HAHAHAHA! DOHOHOGDAHAY! NOHOHOHO!" "Aww! You have such a pretty smile! And a cute laugh too! Let's see if I can really make you squeal~" Your laughter picked up in volume as the pacing of the tickles increased. You fought the bodily urge to fight back as you were worried about getting to rough and hurting the poor puppy. So you resorted to wrapping your arms around your torso. "HAHAHAHA! STAHAHAP! STOP IT!" "What wrong, buddy? Can't take what you dish out? You're in for it now!" After what felt like an agonizing amount of time, DogDay finally gave you a break. You laid there on you back, trying to catch your breath. Once you recovered, you scooped DogDay into you arms, and set him on you lap. You playfully scold him for being a "bad dog" and told him he was going to pay the price for messing with you. DogDay scoffed. "You think I'm scared of you? Ha! No way." A playful smirk crossed your face. Hadn't he forgotten who he was dealing with? You were the Tickle Monster. And you had filled up on his giggles so now it was time for the main course. You were going to eat him up! Before he could even protest, you blew a raspberry on his belly. DogDay squeaked before erupting into the sweetest cackles you ever heard. He wriggled and writhed, his tail wagging so much it was nearly invisible. "EHEHEHE! AHAHAHA! OHOHOHO GOHOHOSH! NOHOHO! NAHAHAT THOSE! HEHEHAHAHA! STOP IT! STAHAHAP!" Well, maybe you'd stop if he agreed to go to bed like a good boy. "NEHEHEVER! YOHOHOU CAHAHAN'T MAHAHAKE ME!" So that's how it was gonna be. Fine then. You would have to keep eating his adorable little belly. You dove back in, blowing another raspberry on his tummy, earning another squeal. Then, you got a wonderful idea. If he kept refusing to go to bed, you were doing to tickle his paws. DogDay squeaked, shaking his head frantically. "NOHOHO! NOT THE PAWS! I GIVE UP! I'M SOHOHORRY!" You immediately stopped your attacks, causing DogDay to melt into a giggly puddle. You gently run your fingers through the fur on his head, apologizing if you went a little bit too far. "No, it's okay. I had a lot of fun playing today! But now..." He yawned, rubbing his eyes. "I'm really sleepy. Will you please stay with me until I fall asleep?" Of course you could. You tucked him in, turned off the lights, and turned on the nightlight. You turned over to see DogDay moving the blankets and patting the now empty space in his bed. You smiled, and sat down next your puppy pal who happily pulled you into a hug. You returned the hug, gently rubbing his back. Just before you fell asleep, DogDay whispered something to you. "Thanks for playing with me. I'm really happy we're friends. Sweet dreams."

Toullie Headcanons! 🐀🩶

These headcanons are based on the cartoon version of this character, not the game version.

Toullie is highly curious, callous, and very talkative.

He gets very upset when people mispronounce his name. ("It's pronounced TWO-EE!")

He is a major chatter box. He loves hearing himself talk. Unfortunately, most people don't like hearing him talk and he often gets told to shut up.

Surprisingly, he's smarter than people think! He often builds gadgets out of random junk he finds and tries to sell them at a ridiculous prices.

Speaking of junk, he enjoys collecting random things, proudly calling himself a "Trash Rat."

He is a terrible cook. He manages to burn cereal.

He often tries to do a fake "evil laugh" but always ends up coughing. His real laugh is very high-pitched and squeaky.

He has a not-so-secret crush on Hoppy Hopscotch. However Hoppy doesn't seem to reciprocate the feelings.

Toullie absolutely can not stand Bubba. He thinks he's a "stuck-up know-it-all but really, he don't know nuthin'!" He also tries to constantly correct Bubba to try and embarrass him.

He also has a Tom and Jerry type rivalry with Catnap. He loves to mess with and agitate the poor cat. Usually, Catnap gives him a dose of karma.

He is best friend is Simon Smoke. The two love to explore junk yards and abandoned buildings to see what kind of "treasures" they can find.

He's also pretty close with Maggie Mako. She's often the only one willing to test out his crazy inventions.

His favorite food is peanut butter and tuna sandwiches.

His favorite song is Unity by TheFatRat.

Simon Smoke Headcanons! 🐉❤️

These headcanons are based on the cartoon version of this character, not the game version.

Simon is loud, proud, and extremely vain. He always wants to be in the spotlight.

Like Rabie Baby, his parents are rich. He loves bragging about all the cool stuff he has and often makes fun of other people for being "poor."

He acts cool and tough but has a massive insecurity complex. If someone calls him out on it, he'll get super defensive and in some cases lash out.

He can fly and breath fire! While he's pretty good at flying, he still hasn't quite mastered his flame breath. He usually ends up spitting a cloud of smoke which is how he got his nickname.

His arch enemy is Craftycorn. He claims she's "too soft" and an easy target but in reality, he's probably jealous that she has such good control of her powers. (Or he has a big fat crush on her.)

He also hates Kickin' Chicken. He says it's because he thinks they're a "big fat faker" but it's mostly because they're what he wishes he could be: cool and popular with friends that love him for who he is, not what he has.

His best friend is Touille. The two of them love to explore junkyards and see what they can find. They also team up to harass Bubba and Craftycorn.

He's also close with Allister Gator. The two of them love to play wrestle and rough house, though Simon often loses. Or as he says "lets him win."

His favorite food is extra rare steak.

His favorite song is Monster by Skillet.

She loves to gossip. This unfortunately is partially her mother's fault as she's constantly talking about drama from work. Her mom's job, you ask? A news reporter.

Speaking of her parents, her father is rich! He is constantly spoiling his "darling little girl."

Her arch enemy is Bobby Bearhug. She claims it's because she's "too nice" and "is just pretending to be all sweet." Perhaps she's a bit jealous?

Speaking of Bobby, both are very affectionate to their friends! The only difference is Rabie Baby has zero concept of boundaries.

She'll often blackmail people to make them do what she wants, usually by threatening to spread a nasty rumor about them.

Her best friend is Maggie Mako. They love to gossip and tell secrets. They also both have a sweet tooth.

Nightmare Critters Headcanon Poll!

I am a Christian but I don't often say it because...well, I'm ashamed to. I don't want to be associated with the extremists or "Bible thumpers" who condem people to Hell.

But then I realized, those people are not true Christians. The cornerstone of Christianity is that God loves everyone. We are all children of God.

Let me say it again.

GOD LOVES EVERYONE. WE ARE ALL CHILDREN OF GOD.

If you don't believe that, you're not a true Christian.

Far-right Christians really do the Bible a disservice by treating it as a book God dictated and had wrote down for him. It's a living document, ever evolving just as Christianity has. It's an imperfect work written by imperfect people talking about the perfect God within the context of their time and culture. I really want to make a project out of rereading my Bible and reading it that way.

Let's talk about Smiling Critters ships.

As most of you know, I make it clear that in my stories, the relationships between all the Smiling Critters are purely platonic. This is because, in my head canon, they're children. (Bubba the oldest being twelve, Catnap the youngest being nine and the rest falling somewhere in between.) However, that doesn't mean I don't have a few pairs that I enjoy. (Ex. Catnap and DogDay but NOT the BBI versions)

I know shipping children can be seen as problematic but there are lots of kids shows with child protagonists that include a love interest. I believe as long as things are kept strictly SFW, (hugs, cuddles, and kisses on the cheek) then it should be okay. For the sake of my stories, I plan to keep the relationships platonic but I might do a story about one of my ships. I really enjoy writing romance but I sadly haven't gotten to do it much.

I have a idea

After player and dogday have a game of fetch player gets an idea he becomes the tickle monster and gets dogday with tickles on the sides and tummy and raspberries than it switches to ler dogday and Lee player when dogday gets up and wiggles his fingers and tells player he’s the tickle monster now and gets him with side tickles tummy tickles and raspberries than it ends off with a cuddle attack from dogday.

how does this sound do you like it?
