I love how book influencers on Instagram and Tik Tok have like summer and fall/winter reads. Summer is like romance and soft and happy and in fall/winter they like read fantasy and darker stuff. Girl, give me that twisted, dark and depressing literature all year! I don’t want happy cute little romance novels, give me angst and darkness and depression!!

i gotta go to sleep but first let me just say in btvs 5x22 “the gift” when spike and buffy go to buffy’s house there’s that little moment of disconnect where spike is very aware that he can’t enter and he doesn’t try to push the issue at all, he’s just like i can wait here and you can hand me the weapons, but buffy doesn’t seem to remember at first that he’s not allowed in, like it just doesn’t occur to her, and when he reminds her she readily gives him permission. and you can see him smiling but like trying not to make a big deal out of it but he’s obviously so pleased and so moved. i just love seeing that slight disconnect in their relationship where spike thinks he’s not welcome inside, because that was what she told him the last time it came up, and he didn’t want to respect it then but he’s respecting it now. whereas buffy in the past few episodes has come to rely so much on spike and has such comfort and trust in him at least with certain things that in her mind she’s just like, well obviously he’s allowed in, that’s not even a question. and in this little moment you see how thrilled and honored he is to be trusted this way. oh it’s so cute

james marsters deliberately playing spike in a more sympathetic way to avoid his character being killed off after season 2 so he could keep his job is so funny. guy was literally scheming his way into job security by turning a throwaway villain into emo boy audience bait and it WORKED. gotta say i respect the grind

I'm sick to my stomach hearing the news about Liam. I no longer supported him after all the recent allegations, but I never wished death upon him. I'm actually so sad. I was a fan for years. All I can think about is his poor son.
I knew he struggled with his mental health but I think no one in his personal life tried hard enough to help him.

For my followers and friends who are in shock about the Liam Payne news, some genuine advice:
Get offline. Being online right now will only make you spiral. Take this post as a sign to get offline.
Get yourself food and drink, listen to the albums, let yourself start to grieve.
Don't look up news articles etc, they will not help right now. Reach out to friends whom you know liked 1D, but only after your first cry. Oxygen mask approach, people. You cry, you start on the grieving process, then you reach out.
Do not look at photos of the body. Do NOT look at photos of the body.
You don't have to look at the news. You are allowed to block his name until you're ready to deal. It's okay to hurt. It's okay to really, really hurt.
I'm very sorry for your loss.

The worst part about Liam Payne dying is that people are posting about “the switch up is crazy”
Like no. He was an abuser and made horrible decisions, but nobody wanted him to die. He was getting hate for an INCREDIBLY valid reason, but we all recognized that he needed mental and physical help. He needed to go to rehab. He needed to get away from drugs and alcohol and improve upon himself away from the public. No one wanted him to die.
We’re not mourning the life of an abuser, we are mourning the part of him that we adored and looked up to for a massive part of our childhood/ teenage years. He was a huge part of how I was introduced to my love of music. And yes, he did horrible things and made horrible decisions and over the last few years has been anything but admirable, but none of us wanted this.
Maya didn’t want this. And everyone saying that it’s her fault can actually go burn in hell. She likely already blames herself enough. She likely already wishes she hadn’t spoken up about it out of the guilt that she likely feels. You guys commenting all over the socials about how this is her fault and “are you happy now?” Are actually horrible people.
A 7 year old boy just lost his father. A woman just lost her long term boyfriend. Two parents just lost their son. Several young children just lost their uncle. Show some fucking respect. Joking about it and hating on people who had nothing to do with what happened is not doing anything but twist the knife for the people who this has ACTUALLY effected.

Speak English poorly. Speak with an exaggerated accent or with the pronunciations easier for your native language. Add your language to it. Speak with direct or poor translations of your words into English. Don't conform. Sound obnoxious, sound stereotypical. Be free. Fuck the americanization of the world. Prioritize your native language. Prioritize languages other than English. Listen to them. Listen to your own language.
