liam hardly ever left work to get food. he was the kind of person to bring his lunch with him, and to work through the hour. most people just thought he was workaholic, but he much preferred the word dedicated. or, rather, he enjoyed the distraction that work was. when focusing on patients, he had no need to think about anything else going on in his life. a much needed distraction, not that he would admit it if you asked him. but, today, it was slow. slow, and he had forgotten his lunch at home, leaving his stomach growling fifteen minutes into lunch. so, he was forced out and about, entering the bakery just in time to spot meredith stuffing her face with was definetely not her first cupcake. he canât help the smile that comes to his face as she tries to hide the evidence, and nearly bursts into laughter when they make eye contact, the embarrassment painted all over his coworkerâs face. he slides into the seat next to her, âraising an eyebrow, oh, just satifisying it a little, huh?â he asks, the bubbling of laughter behind his words, âthat looked like a more than a little, dude.â wordlessly grabbing one of the cupcakes, he pulls on the wrapper, âbut, hey, finishing this in just a few bites, thatâs impressive.â
cupcake in hand, meredithâs senses honed in on meticulously unwrapping its contents. nothing forced the woman to wander into this bakery during her lunch time but there was also nothing stopping her from become comrades with the assortment of food offered. after looking down at her snack intently, meredith gradually devoured it in three bites, before removing the evidence with haste onto the nearest surface, a neat pile of cupcake casings forming behind her. sheâd be sure to discard of it in a waste bin or the inside pocket of her scrubs before leaving. before reaching for another, she paused, feeling the presence of a fellow junk foodie less than a meter from her. â you, uh â â she stopped and started, allowing herself to regain composure. â you didnât just watch me eat all that, right ? â her face suddenly became hot in sheer mortification. mere attempted to feign a nonchalant aura, the corners of her glossy lips turning upwards into a minute, deceptive smile. â that was extremely unladylike and iâm slightly embarrassed. I just came in to satisfy my sweet tooth a little. â the nurse clarifies, inelegantly fumbling around with the plastic container housing two final cupcakes. â you can have one, if youâd like. i shouldnât eat them all by myself anyway. â

â  alright.  â it wasnât as cold as his hello, but the longer both of them were standing in that coffee shop, the more nervous he felt. as they made their way out the door, whit did his best to calm down. if his nerves didnât display how he really hadnât dealt with the other, he didnât know what would. although he hadnât personally contacted the other since heâd been in a relationship, as they reached the door, whit swung it open, doing his best to keep it open for liam as he walked out. after shooting shea a quick text with a lame excuse as to why he wouldnât be waiting inside when he got off work, he finally looked up at the other before sitting down in a table around the corner of the shop. he was nervous to be see out with liam â especially now that annie lived in halston. â  iâm alright, i guess.  â he cleared his throat as he took the coffee to his lips. it was strange being so casual with the other. there was definitely a few walls between them, especially after the incident.  â  iâm uhh.. actually dating someone.  â smooth way to bring that up, whitley.
he could sense whitleyâs anxiousness, and all he wanted to do was pull the other close, comfort him. it was what he was used to, after all. but, he wasnât going to do that, at least not here in public. if there was anything between them still, they would still have to keep under a bit of wraps. but, maybe there wasnât anything at all. maybe the incident had just changed everything. liam smiles at the other as he takes a seat across from him, though he was sure it looked tense. he was so godamned tense. he wished they could just be back in at his house, or maybe even a hotel, like they used to. ibut, all those thoughts were pushed from his mind. dating someone? he couldnât help the look of disappointment on his face, glancing away from the other. had it been that long, for whitley to move on already? he hadnât moved on, but that was only because he didnât have a lot. he wanted to hold on those few things he did have. clearly, he didnât even really what he wanted to. but... âthatâs great!â he says, forcing another smile on his face, though he seemed to stare off in a space right past whitley, âhave you guys...dated long?â

whitleyblue:
he was having a great day. heâd only stepped out for the first time to visit shea while he was working. at this point, it was too late in the summer to get a job. heâd spent all summer bored out of his mind just waiting for his boyfriend to get off work. mentally, he made a note to get one for holiday break. he knew it would be just as bad and heâd be just as bored. still, being able to visit shea at work whenever he wanted wasnât so bad either. heâd just finished picking up his coffee, unfortunately made by someone other than the blonde. blue walked in in the middle of sheaâs break so after a small conversation he figured it was time to head out. not without getting a coffee first, obviously. the smile on his face hadnât faltered when he picked the cup up. it only faltered when he heard his birth name being called out by that voice. as if his stomach wasnât already over turned, he could feel his throat start to close up. why was it suddenly so hard to breathe? with a simple turning of his feet, he spotted the male before letting out a calm breath. â  hi.  â  it was calm yet shaky at the same time. he needed to get the fuck out of here and fast. his breathing started to increase as he propositioned.  â  can we talk outside? â anything to get the other out of that coffee shop before his boyfriend walked back in.
the look on whitleyâs face disappointing to say the least. liam had hoped, beyond reason, that the younger would be excited to see him. but it was no conincience that they hadnât spoken in a few months, not since the last time the other was knocking on his door. whitley didnât want to see him, for whatever reason. but, he didnât want that thought to get him down, at least not right here. not with a chance to actually see him again, something he has been wanting as of late. âhi,â he repeats back to him, the small smile sticking to his features. he had thought, now divorce (or at least getting there) they could spend time together without so much hiding around. but something had changed, and now they didnât spend time together. without being (too) needy, he wanted to change that. âoh, yeah, yeah, sure! whatever works with you,â he says, taking a sip from his coffee, âi just wanted to talk, man, see how youâre doing.â

â âHI,â ANNIE SAID AGAIN with a strained smile as she looked up at her dad, a slight, shaky laugh bubbling up from her chest as she saw the joy on his face. it was both odd and refreshing to witness at least one of her parents happy to see her â she could never say the same for her mother. at the question, she sniffled, one of her hands moving up to furiously wipe away the tears threatening to spill over her cheeks, which only allowed them to flow more freely. âââafter you left, mom got even more nuts than she was before nâ she went crazy on me and i-i kinda took it out on people at school â well, this one kid, specifically ââ he was makinâ fun of me and he tried to grab me so i pushed him into a bookshelf and we went to the principal and he tried to say he didnât do anything wrong so i got mad nâ i punched him in the nose and broke it and the principal expelled me and mom went NUTS nâ now âââ now iâm here. with aunt renee.â she couldnât bear to force a smile on her face any longer, her features crumbling into how she REALLY felt â a look of anguish and fear and sadness and defeat. with a soft, pathetic hiccup, she moved forward, wrapping her arms around her dadâs middle in a tight hug. âââ-i missed you so much, dad.â
liam couldnât help his fading smile as the tears slid down her cheeks, and the frustrating story she told him. mom got even more nuts. of course she had, that crazy woman. he had never done a very good job at counteracting her strict, insane rules, but he had done something. in fact, he had been worried about this when he left, or rather was ran out. not seeing annie was difficult, but not knowing, or having a say, in how meredith continuted to raise her was worse. clearly, it had been horrible, from the look on annieâs face. it truly broke his heart. he had never thought of himself as the best person, but he had always wanted to be a good father. the fact that he had been able to be a dad for nearly a year was unbearable, especially after hearing what happened when he was gone. âitâs okay, hun, iâm here now, well, youâre here now,â he says, knowing well that if she hadnât been sent here, it wouldâve been even longer since him last seeing her. another year until she was an adult, at least, because he simply couldnât afford a long, legal battle. his arms are just as tight around her, as if he was afraid she would fly away. âand i canât believe you did that,â he says, with a tone far more proud than disappointed, âscrew any asshole that tries to touch you.â liam! donât curse in front of anne, is what his wife wouldâve said, despite the fact that she was old enough now to here such lanaguage. but, he didnât have to worry about that anymore.

hello everyone! my nameâs aliera, i already met some of you in the discord, but yeah!!! iâm v shy and iâm probably gonna ramble a lot during this intro so letâs goooo and meet my very outgoing (and lil depressed) boyo
so!!! liam is a bit of mess and thatâs because he always thinks with his gut and not his brain!!!
literally everything in his life, he did without thinking about hte consequences, just wanting to be happy, live life in the moment and to itâs fullest extent!!
as a young man, he lived by the motto âhere for a good time, not a long timeâ and did so much reckless shit. including lots of drugs, drinking, just bad decisions in general.Â
when he entered college, not a lot of that changed, but he did meet one girl who was able to keep his head on his shoulders: meredith. a gorgerous, smart girl who was rough enough to keep him interested. they werenât the perfect match, but they were passoinate, and that was enough for him.
it wasnât before long they started dating that he proposed, a boy young and in love with a firey girl who loved him back. and the love lasted for a while! they traveled together, made love, had a beautiful daughter. but, things didnât stay peachy forever.
meredith was a very strict person, and parent. as theyâre daughter grew up, she was not only strict with her but with him. he didnât feel as free as when they first together, and felt even less loved. she just thought of him as immature, unreliable. the love faded slowly and painfully, without any real discussion but they both knew...
and so it was difficult for him at home! he tried his best, for annie bc he loves her, but he spent a lot of time in his hobbies, focusing on work, focusing on anything besides his crumbling marriage, or how he and meredith only spoke if they were fighting. and this is when he met whitley. a young man, a bright one who made him happy. after years in his dead-end marriage, he found someone who made him feel free again. liam had never intended to cheat on his wife, but once he started he had no intention of stopping
and so, they had an affair for a year. and his wife slowly figured it out, eventually catching them in the act. it was devestating.
that night, he was kicked out and within the month had moved to halston, renting a small house for himself.Â
ever since being kicked out, liam has been heavily depressed, and to top it off, a new coworker of his has figured out about his affair with a young man, and is blackmailing him about it. he canât see his kid, his old lover doesnât talk with him much anymore, and heâs just lonely!!! life sucks, but heâs pushing through, trying to reestablish himself here
anyway thatâs basically it!!! if you wanna plot, pls hmu

how many months had it been since he last saw whitley, three, four? too long, in liamâs opinion. they had used to see each other every single day, or at least every single week. but, ever since things went downhill, it seemed almost like the other was avoiding him. not that liam could blame him, it was horribly awkward, but he still worried. worried and lonely. regardless of all that, liam saw him now. even from behind, he could point out whitley in a small group, such as the one in this coffee shop. maybe whitley didnât want to talk to him, but he wanted to at least say hello. his stomach in knots, something that hardly ever happened to him. he wanted to wait for the perfect moment, and when the young man turned around, he jumped at the opprotunity. âwhitley!â he calls, wondering if his nervousness was painted on his face. // @whitleyblue

while camping with the entire town was fun, it reminded him of how lonely he was. surrounded by families, couples, young children running around, it just served to remind him of the things he no longer had. he hadnât seen whitley in months, and even longer for his daughter. sometimes, he even missed the company of his wife--ex-wife. liam had thought the camping trip would raise his spirits a bit, but that wasnât the case. in all honesty, he had thought of leaving early, to go back to his empty new house. when he heard the words hi dad, he didnât even realize it was aimed at him for a moment, but he knew that voice from anywhere. a voice he missed. he turns to see his little girl, eyes brimming her eyes, a knot of his own formed in her stomach. âannie?â he says, a stunned look on his face, hand reaching out to grab her shoulder. really here. it put a smile on his face, one edge of his lips rising in a lop sided grin, âwhat--what are you doing here?â
â ANNIE WAS JUST GETTING USED TO HALSTON. in all honesty, sheâd moved there with the intent of knowing two names and two faces: whitley blue montgomery, the boy whoâd ruined her life, and liam whitlock, the man she hadnât seen in just about a year. the man at the epicenter of the events that turned her whole world on its head. as everything had changed around her in a matter of months, he remained constant, and seeing him now, twenty feet away, lingering amongst the rest of the townâs populace was a cruel reminder that he was STILL THERE. without a second thought, she moved towards him, until he was within an arms reach â then and ONLY then did she hesitate. for a moment, she paused, a knot tying in her throat, her eyes brimming with tears. ââââhi, dad.â // @liamwhitlock
