     Amelia really wishes this would stop happening.

     It’s not like she really has a choice in what happens here, but it doesn’t get easier to see people you know from back home and have hurt because of your actions.

     Case in point, the boy she spotted from across the cafe. She wasn’t close to him by any means or anything (nor did she really affect him that much with what she did in the killing game, she thinks) but it’s still a lot to take in for her.

     (After all, the other two people she’s met here from home... hated her, to put it mildly.)

      Maybe this would be different? Amelia didn’t know but... it’s worth a shot isn’t it? It’s better than running away from everything, because she knows she can’t escape her past as much as she would like to.

     So she steps into the cafe proper and over to his table, the heels of her shoes clicking as she does so. A steady rhythm, almost betraying how nervous she is inside, but she’s not a liar for nothing after all.

     And the smile on her face only helps to keep up her act of sorts. “Um, pardon me but may I sit here? There wasn’t anywhere else to sit that I saw open.”

     When you’ve been trapped in the same place for months on end, it feels good to be able to get some fresh air after all that.

     (You’re part of the reason for that you know.)

     Amelia wishes her mind would shut up and be nice to her for once. But that’s too easy for someone like her, now isn’t it? She chose that path, and she knows how it ended. Now she has to make her peace with it or something, she doesn’t know.

     (Denial isn’t going to help you forever liar. Face the truth that you love to hide away from oh so much.)

     And what even is the truth here? That she’s a traitor and a murderer? That she’s half of the reason for the killing game happening? That most of the foundation members died and she’s responsible for a good part of those deaths, and why so many people suffered? She’s painfully aware of it, oh her own actions and what happened because of them.

(You were a fool from the very beginning you know.)

     She can’t argue against that, as much as she would like to.

     She’s so caught up in her thoughts that she doesn’t notice bumping into someone else and goes to apologize, only to stop and stare at who it is. Speaking of people from the killing game that she’s made suffer.

     “...Hello, Ahn.”

     Amelia truly doesn’t get all this.

     Somehow she’s... alive after all of that and in a place like this. For whatever reason she doesn’t really know why but it... unsettles her. Why is she here, considering all that she’s done? Why is this where she ended up after the game was over? So many questions, but with no answers.

     And well, she isn’t going to get the answers to those if she keeps herself away here in her housing, now is she? She doesn’t have a reason to shut herself away here. It’s... a new start in a way.

     She’s not a mastermind here anymore at least.

     A breath in, then out, and she opens the door and lets herself out of her apartment. So far so good, at least. Considering how long she isolated herself before arriving here it makes her feel... proud or something like that. It’s not quite a smile that makes its way on her face, but her expression is a bit more relaxed. So she continues on her way out of the complex...

     Only to freeze when someone comes out of their own, and Amelia feels a sense of dread sit in the pit of her stomach.

     Because who else would it be but Shintaro Kisaragi of all people, one of the Future Foundation members, participants in the killing game, and someone she killed.

     She certainly wasn’t ready for this!

     “S-Shin...taro...” It’s all she can get out before taking a step back, and then another and before she knows it she’s trying to get back to her apartment. What does she even do in this situation?

my muse’s protesting aside, i’m back at it again with muses though this time it’s yet another oc from the same group as my previous oc and well. she’s quite different in more ways than one! i am so sorry in advance for her because well. reasons! lots of reasons! (nervous laughter)
