its a zombie-infested earth. a water-borne virus broke out only three weeks ago yet a quarter of the globe have already been infected. people are changing, some are dead, some are alive… though not living. there are many theories, one being that its a government solution for overpopulation that had accidentally turned into a zombie-inducing plague.
what do you think? a high school science project slash experiment gone wrong…
how can you confess your wrongdoings when the consequence is so large?

the crisp, scratchy sound of metal pen nib against dry paper echoes around the small living room; illuminated by only the shine of the moon and the freckles of tiny stars in the navy blue sky. the writer, a young female whom hastily engraves her last words on there.
“…and so, here i am, still alive but barely.”
heavy breaths exit her mouth from her lungs, whilst hot scarlet-red blood snakes its way down her neck; seeping and staining her white button up. the wound on the left of her skull still bleeding profusely. hair plastered onto her forehead. tiny little beads of sweat forms on her crusty lips, a wet tongue slips out of her mouth, running across the rough, desert-like skin.
“…maybe this is the end. i dont think i can continue. i will see you in my next life. signing off-”
the wooden board creaks. the click-clack sounds of someone with dress shoes on echoes.
she stops. stops writing, stops breathing. and slowly shuts her eyes…
