growing up in the butcher household wasn't the easiest. she was the only girl of three children. their father was a terrible man who enjoyed pushing and poking his children too far. once roxanna turned eighteen, she was out of there. moving to america to study robotics.

coming into america, she lived with her former pen pal, benji who she absolutely adored. he took care of her just llike a nice husband would despite them being ' just friends ' . in the back of roxanna's mind, she truly loved benji and she had no idea just the love that benji had for her too despite the actions he put forth into helping her on a day to day basis.

her birthday was coming up, he had scored tickets to a rock concert of a band that roxanna had recently been obsessed with. she had been waiting and hoping all year that she could get tickets and for her birthday, there they went. a early dinner and some drinks at the concert seemed to be perfect for the two of them. and perfect for what benji had in mind.

the concert was cut short by homelander, swooping in to visit the crowd and brag about how he had just stopped a super bad guy. hecklers in the crowd yelled profanities, telling him to get off the stage so that they could finish the concert. benji had taken this time to pull out a ring box, kneel down on one knee and ask ' roxanna butcher, will you marry me? ' and with a firm and quick nod, roxanna was immediately responding yes. benji stood up, pulling the ring from the ring box and inches away from her finger --

homelander's laser beams slice through members of the crowd, including benji. right horizontal through the skull, he dropped dead, brains and blood spraying all over roxy's face and clothes. the ring toppled to the ground and she stared, blankly at the bloody mess her once future husband had become.

eyes find there way to homelander, staring deep into his gaze before he flew off. soon, she was kneeling by benji's side making sure to grab the ring to place it on her finger and watch as he bleeds out from his skull.

now roxanna wears the ring on a chain around her neck, working along side her brother billy and the rest of the boys in order to kill homelander and take down vought & the seven or die trying.
