it’s finally here!! two days late because i suck at deadlines apparently <3

word count: 7k (honestly felt like i wrote about 20k, but whatever).

note: i am painfully aware of the many embarrassing spelling mistakes (but it’s 2am, so i’ll sort them out tomorrow).

this update is obviously just the prologue, so it’s more about setting the scene and establishing who people are. next update will have more choices, customisation, and will allow you to start shaping up your helsing a bit more.

the stats are currently not working, but that doesn’t really matter just yet, so i’ll implement those properly when chapter one is released.

i have begun working on chapter one, but unfortunately i don’t have a release date yet. i’ll keep you guys updated though!

i’m not a professional writer by any means (nor do i have any betas just yet), so it will likely seem a bit clunky or stiff in parts, but i hope that it’s generally an enjoyable read.

I’m writing this on mobile so apologies if it looks funky but looking at how other authors were writing their IFS and realizing I was trying to do way too much at the same time as writing it (basically I was trying to code the chapter as I was writing it) I have gotten all of chapter 1 written and now I just gotta figure out to get the stupid thing coded

God of Vengeance

The text is near illegible any name in reference to this god has been blacked out or scrawled through. But it looks like a journal entry from centuries ago.

Melfeia tried to stop him, she had always been fond of him. Scriptures after all stated that he had been her most beloved brother. But in the face of one God's rage and grief what can a fellow god do? Even one such as our beloved goddess of the sun.

But I digress this after all is most likely the only chronicle of the events that have happened here.

You know we were always fond of them. [ ] never did anybody any harm, they just looked after the children and tended to their orphanage. But those stupid men, why couldn't they have left well enough alone. [ ] was no witch we all knew that. That stupid bastard of a noble's son knew that too but that man had always been entitled.

[ ] was polite in turning him down, but that didn't stop the man so, [ ] did the only thing they could think of and told him they had a lover hoping it would put an end to the badgering and harassment.

It only made things worse, Nathaniel never took no for an answer, and so he decided if he couldn't have [ ] no one could. It was his mistake and that stupid bastard doomed us all for it.

[ ] had been telling the truth, they did have a lover. It's just that their lover wasn't human. Gods please forgive us, I will never forget the sight when Ir-- descended upon our village.

You ever seen a God kill someone before? It's something that will haunt my dreams until I die. Nathaniel didn't even get to utter a word before he was just gone, all that was left of him was ashes.

Ir-- tried to save [ ] but it was too late, they had already turned to cinders. And that's when our small village watched the ascension of a God.

Forgive us please forgive us, Melfeia tried to stop him. But there was nothing we could do except watch the God of Mercy become the God of Vengeance.

Elves

Known for their long pointed ears and cat-like eyes, the elves are the only other race aside from demons known for their longevity. Much like demons, elves adore the other mortalis races and are prone to intermarrying with them.

Elves while having settled in major towns and cities are primarily a nomadic race, blessed by the deity of the wind and skies Teledir, it is a common sight to see elves literally leaping and dancing through the air. That is probably why the Karas are so fond of them and are often see in their company.

However elves do not sit idly by and they have a strong sense of judgement, often times rulers of the lands will come to elves seeking their judgement in all manners, keen as it is. If an elf has judged someone has done a great crime they will eliminate that person immediately even if they are a king or queen.

Tales have been told of how tyrant rulers fled to places they thought were safe, only to find an elf waiting for them, sword of justice in hand.

Elves are also naturally curious, most who settle down choose to become scholars as they desire to find ways to unlock the secrets of the world.

so i have settled into my parents home and am currently job searching, they do leave me to my own devices after im done job searching, so i have been trying to figure out choice script more

in the meantime im gonna try and hammer out some lore posts or moodboards

Unfortunately it isn’t a good one, due to still being stuck with my aunt and uncle and me having to try and scramble to find housing before I am summarily kicked out on july 15th there has been no progress.

I am deeply sorry about this, it has just overall been a miserable time. I am hoping that if I can find housing (fingers crossed) that once I am moved out and settled down I can start working on this in earnest.

But for now I will just try to hammer out lore posts and work on moodboards for you guys.

Also I am probably gonna try and reblog some ask things in case you guys want that.

The villain, or anti-hero, whatever you want to call them, Mars is an enigmatic figure; the very concept of life seems to hold no value to them. A trail of bodies follows wherever they go, and on the news, they are regarded as the biggest menace of the century. They will have the unique ability to sway your loyalty. Beware, their sweet words and promises may drip with honey, but they also drip with the blood of their victims.​

Zev/Zena Hammer

The oldest of the bunch and not a metahuman per se. Hammer acts as the spokesperson for the team, mitigating the often tenuous relationship between humans and the so-called "mutants". As a retired police detective they've learned firsthand how rotten the world can be for the innocent, and they've vowed to protect them at any cost. Their analytical and communication skills will go hand in hand when dealing with various crimes, just as their implants.

Trope: Widow/widower, age gap, don't-call-me-daddy/mommy

Adam/Ava Armstrong

The current leader of the Alliance Team. Headstrong and dauntless, they are regarded as the strongest metahuman in modern times and the most enigmatic of them all, whose past is shrouded in mystery and unknown even to their closest friends. On the outside, they might seem apathetic and unconcerned with human suffering, but their true feelings are hidden beneath layers of deep trauma. Superhuman strength and invulnerability are their greatest assets when fighting villains.

Trope: Nobody thinks it will work, love/hate, fucking-your-boss

Edward/Evelyn Osborne

The former leader of the Alliance Team and Archon's best friend. On the surface, they are the stereotypical showboat: cocky, greedy, and egoistical. Stardom does whatever they can to gain attention, fame, and riches. For them, the best feeling in the world is an adoring fan and a beautiful person fawning over their heroics. The meta-gene gives them a genius-level intellect, which in turn is used to develop several pieces of equipment that are employed by themselves and the team during fights.​

Johnny/Johnnie

If Archon's past is shrouded in mystery, Paladin's is drowned in it. For all you know, their name is not even Johnny/Johnnie but an alias of their choosing. They are known to be the silent loner type and are somewhat socially withdrawn from other members of the team, only speaking when called upon to do so. Behind their silver mask, they harbor more than a few inner demons, and together with their superhuman weapon and combat proficiency, they fight for the innocent.​

Pedro/Pilar Flores

The youngest of the team, considered by many a lighthearted jokester without any real talent beyond their obvious powers—which set them apart from every human that walks the earth. With their metahuman status so evident for everyone to see, hiding just didn't seem like an option, so they chose the next best alternative. Known to be playful, energetic, and often immature, they are responsible for balancing the team's more serious side, and when someone can take the form of any living being on Earth, the repertoire of pranks is endless.​

Doctor Malik/Malika Aziz

The renowned Doctor Aziz, a famed archaeologist and considered to be the most powerful sorcerer, or magic user, in the world. With an extremely strong moral compass and kind demeanor, they will show themselves to be the best teacher you could ask for, but why do they seem to be everywhere you look?

The oldest of the Sun Twins, Crown Prince Maximilian is a very reverred personality among the nobles. He is known for his shrewdness and extremely ambitious nature. A very charismatic person, he has a way with his words which often allows others to lower their guard around him.
