Adam had not expected to find her like this, in fact, he could perhaps only think of a few times she had ever cried, and it felt as though half of those happened during the curse.  Belle was simply… she was not the type to cry readily and if she were crying something must have been wrong. He had found her in the library, and sat down beside her tucking a lock of hair behind her ear.

"recently?" Belle asked she had to think for a bit she read so often "Great Gatsby, Howl's moving castle, and to kill a mockingbird" Belle told him rattling off her three most recent reads that she had enjoyed.

Belle scoffed as if she were insulted “I read other books, I just finished a mid summer nights dream as well, it’s not stupid to me a forbidden romance is wonderfully tragic. They may not have handled it well being teenagers but still.” Belle said leaning back in her chair and holding the book to her “Besides I run a book shop you can’t expect me to not carry around books.”

Adam only rolled his eyes at her words before a small grin came across them. “I still do think it’s stupid. If they really wanted to be together, they could’ve been. Without ending up dead.” he spoke with a shrug of his shoulders. “What else did you read?” he asked then. Maybe she would tell him she read something else besides romantic novels but he feared that wouldn’t be the case.
