and I certainly have been irritated with anarchists who favor a pure ideological movement over concrete wins for people because their vision of a better world can’t make compromises and/or they don’t trust anyone with any power. but you can’t rlly critique anarchists on the grounds they don’t have a standing army . you can critique them on the grounds that they don’t have a large or effective system for mass education and organizing bc they refuse occasionally to work with existing coalitions on doing that , tho I think that kind of depends on which anarchists we are talking about bc like Catalonia and Ukraine and American black anarchists vs American trustie crusties are all kind of different

watching tumblr blogs do discourse (as they were ten years ago) on whether anarchism or MLism is better based on the criteria of “have people espousing this ideology administered a state with a military” and like I continue to be ignorant by most of these peoples standards in terms of texts read but I think ….that isn’t what anarchists are generally attempting to do….. they’re good at resisting and critiquing people trying to do that . BONE and your new girlfriend drags the KILLER LEOPARD into the jail on a LEASH and then you get DUMPED and get the MILLION DOLLARS and confess you LOVE the CRAZY GIRL all in the last five minutes? and then she KNOCKS OVER your BRONTOSAURUS.

generally agree w this post tho I think it’s slightly dramatic bc I do think ppl should try new things sometimes even if they have a sensory disorder bc it’s a big world and you only live once. but making my own post to say that. my husband had never ever eaten a pickle before I made him eat five different kinds (he thought they smelled weird) and he thinks they’re fine now. also he used to hate eggplant and cooked tomatoes and now he likes them . also he used to not like onions in anything and now he likes them same with broccoli
