An organised list of cookie anatomy. (part 3) (hands and feet structure)

Cookies have 5 fingers but only 4 toes. All fingers except for the thumb and forefinger are normally covered in a mitten like structure made out of their dough. The feet receive a similar treatment except only the big toe is free. The digests within the "mitten" are able to move freely with little to no complications.

Freshly baked cookies (no matter the age) will always have completely fused digits until their first birthday outside of their birthplace.

Aside from all this, cookie digits are structured similarly to human digits.

Due to their large size, Dragons and simmerly-sized cookies (eg, black pearl) are the primary exceptions; having all of their digits separated (though it is not uncommon to see dragons with less than 5 digits per limb). Descendants of these exceptions may inherit their parent's fingers. (Eg: Tigerlily)

Under normal circumstances, there are 3 different types of cookie eyes:

Flat

Hemisphere

Sphere

Each of these shapes of eyes can be made of various materials that themselves can be categorized into different sub-categories.

Flat: Icing, Fondant, etc

Hemisphere: Jelly, Glaze, Candy, etc

Sphere: Candy, Meat, Jelly, etc

No matter the eye type, every cookie has eye sockets (unless stated otherwise)

The act of removing either flat or hemisphere eyes is known as “Ripping” or “Pealing”, removal of sphere eyes can be known as “Popping” or “Gouging”

Cookies normally have 4 layers: The outer crust (skin), the inner crust (flesh and muscle), the internal fluids (eg: strawberry jam) and their bones. 

They have both an external and internal vascular system. Internal is in the shins, fleet, forearms and hands. Everywhere else has an external system.

Thanks to their crust, they have both an exo and endo-skeleton.

They are both more fragile and more resistant than flesh-beings. Yes, it is easy to snap or break them, but it is relatively easy to fix them. (will elaborate later)

ANOTHER THING

Some cookies dont have icing or actuall eyeballs, the coloured bit of their eyes may be some form of gell, a liquified version of the original ingrediant, or may even be glazed!

Eg, the Cherry family all have gell eyes, the Cream family all have glazed eyes.

Fun fact! One of my headcannons for cookie anatomy is they dont have eye sockets. If you were to see a cookie with a missing eye, there would just be a scar where the eye used to be. No hole. (The cookie equivalent to gouging out an eye is ripping it off)

But this begs the question: why does dark chocco have a hollow eye socket?

The gem in the sword needs a host to reach its full potential. Dark Chocco is its current host but the assimilation is not complete. The hole in his head is the gem's future resting place.

UPD8: Since i hc Candy Diver's lil candy eyes to be their actual eyeballs left over from their corpse dessolving/getting crushed, i decided to modify this current hc.

MOST cookies have the pasted on eyes, but some cookies like Gumball, Candy Diver, Strawberry and even Chocco ball will have actual spherical eye balls.

The main thing that determins wether or not their eyes will be in or on their head is simple; there MUST be a sphere like element directly related to either their design as a whole, or their ingredient.

UNLESS they are either large enough to have them, aquired it via external means, not actually a cookie (Space Doughnut) or related to the above options and inherited it in any way

Dark Chocco cookie's family reunion

After the strawberry jam sword was destroyed, Dark Chocco was finally free of the curse and could return home. It was awkward at first, considering his last visit to his home, but Dark Cacao warmly welcomed his son's return. Both physically and mentally.

Red Velvets makeover inspired Dark Chocco to get a glass eye for himself to replace the eye that the cursed sword took from him. He made it himself and is very proud of it!

He dicided to retire from adventuring and fighting, staying home with his father to help with regaining the kingdom's peace in a new way.

(The cloak is a comfort thing btw :3)

Red Velvet cookie's new home

After being convinced by Princess cookie, RV paid a short visit to the Hollyberry kingdom. He hid his crustless arm and half face beneath a hooded cloak untill a local saw and was instantly filled with...concern.

Before he knew what had happened, a whole crowd of cookies had surrounded RV, all discussing his condition. He saw that some had cake hounds as pets (and took excellent care of them) and realised that he actually loved this colourful kingdom!

Shortly after he went back to the tower, he got into a fight with Dark Enchantrest over him leaving. She let Red be after he called her out on being a shitty mother.

One makeover (courtesy of the Hollyberrians) later, Red Velvet and the entirety of the cake hound army had left their toxic, dark home for a lighter, kinder lifestyle.

They all love it here :3

WhiteLilly cookie: third time's the charm

The dark squad (not including Pom) left DE one by one, resulting in her defeat and evantual death. The reformed members of the dark squad, a still mourning Pomegranate, and the Ancients all pitched in to re-bake DE's remains after she was gone. They didnt add anymore Dark Magic into the recipe as the left over crumbs still had some in them. Once the job was done, out came a reformed WhiteLily.

She cried and cried for days, apologising to her friends, former followers, her son and her most faithful servent for all the harm she caused.

Now the healing can truely begin.
