sorry for no posts. i started school again and i dont have much going on lately (ノ_<。)

again, i have been listening to more akb48. the oh my pumpkin! single is execellent— i think that the undergirls song, ishi no taiboku, is much better than the senbatsu and is more of a 20th anniversary song if anything ^^;

because not yet isnt region locked anymore, i got around to listening to them too. though, i think i have to relisten to really gauge what my favorite is. i did like this song from not yet, though !

but also !! earlier today i finally got around to listening to sdn48’s singles. (◕‿◕)♡ i had been planning to as the only songs ive heard from them were gagaga and min min min, and i really liked those two.

out of all the songs, my favorite was kudokinagara azubujuban. something i really like with sdn’s songs is that theyre a lot more sexy and fierce. i know that’s the theme of the group, but its a nice change from the regular sound of akb. i still need to listen to their 1st stage album, so its exciting to listen ^_^

rewatched the eah concept trailer today, which depicts apple, cerise, and tiny the giant. i find it interesting how if cerise is here, that implicates she was originally going to be what raven is now. cerise’s voice is also much more deeper, reflecting a more “edgy” appearance. apple and tiny have the same voice as in the final product; tiny has the same role of carrying apples books, while apple is seemingly a lot more princess-like (e.g. lizzie hearts).

iirc the dolls are real dolls, reused monster high dolls but i cant figure out what characters. they seemed to be going for a stop-motion style of animation, which fits with how the original visuals was aligning directly with the classic “victorian”-like fairytale aesthetic instead of something more modern in the final product. this is most seen with the scenery, apple’s appearance, and how the castle looks. interesting

started playing animal crossing like i had mentioned a week(?) ago, and instead of playing new leaf, i decided to check out the gamecube version, as i had never done that before ٩(◕‿◕)۶

it's fun so far ! it's definitely a different experience than new leaf and new horizons, and i feel that interacting with the villagers is much more fun in this game. the dialogue has a lot more life to it. off the top of my head, the villagers in my town are blaire, chief, lily, freya, derwin, maddie, and jay. i didn't think this game would put a lot of emphasis on letters though (⌒_⌒;)

liella!’s gen1 revival live is soon and im very excited !!! its gonna be cool to see songs be performed with the audience being more present with chants. i wonder if theyll cover newer songs too ? its all so exciting ٩(｡•́‿•̀｡)۶

very happy to see sayurin in particular… she’s my oshi, so im always happy seeing her perform. this concert makes me hope theyll perform their newest solos in the aspire album, but i wouldnt bet my money on it ^^;

i’ve been really wanting to play animal crossing new leaf recently because i want a cute little town to manage but i am absolutely horrible with checking up on things !! its the same with tomodachi life. i really need to work on that ☆⌒(> _ <)

on the topic of animal crossing, i really like the cozy feeling that the older games have. i know it makes sense for new horizons to be like this, as it is in a different setting and also made in a different time, but it feels too polished. i look at older photos of acnl compared to acnh, and it has a much more “textured” appeal compared to acnh, which is a lot more “clean”

these photos off of pinterest for example: both very pretty, but acnl just has that specific feeling, you know? it’s hard to explain. maybe nostalgia has eaten me (⌒_⌒;)

In New Horizons, the mannequins in the Able Sisters re-use the player model with a few facial features taken off, and being recolored to black. This was likely to make it easier for the developers to interchangeably place clothing on them.

Due to this, they are actually compatible with all of the game's player animations. They're just normally set to only do the mannequin-specific "animations", all of which are just a 1-frame pose. In this gif, I have swapped the poses for the Shrunk Funk Shuffle, demonstrating this quirk.

been akbposting a lot. the oh my pumpkin! performance was very sweet ! the choreo is sooo cute and it makes me appreciate the song a lot more than i did before. ponytail to shushu was great too…… if anything, i’m just happy to see atsumina again ^_^

also, i just cannot get enough of these outfits !!! theyre so cute and fit the vibe a bit more than the elegance we saw in the original visuals. i adore acchan’s pantsuit the most, it makes her look so refined and proper.

oh my pumpkin! just released here is my review

it is absolutely nothing of what i thought it was going to sound like LOL but i dont mean that in a bad way!!! with how elegant the promo photos were i was expecting something more sentimental, but the upbeat sound fits a lot more with the silly title. i also think it puts the promo photos and especially the outfits in a new perspective, as they can now be seen as refreshing summer outfits!

in a way, it kind of reminds me of theater songs? it has the same whimsy that early theater songs have which makes me happy :)

overall, i think its good. though, i dont really think sonically its anything too special, which does make me bummed out as it is an anniversary song. i wouldnt add it to any personal playlists, but its still cute! im glad we got something cute haha

akb48’s 20th anniversary song is being released on streaming tomorrow and i am so frightened truly because i have no idea what vibe theyre going for. the title oh my pumpkin! is so silly and fun but the creative direction is very formal judging by the single cover. either way i will be giving my thoughts tomorrow and overall i am excited to see my goat takamina again

also akb48 related though, ive been watching a lot of akbingo and i think they should bring back a variety show for the current group. i am aware of akbingo neo and i suppose sayonara mouri san but it would be nice to see something for the girls we have now !! something ongoing, i mean. lol
