Okay but some of you are really sleeping on body concealing
I WILL NOT walk out of a store with something in my bag if I can help it! SAs and LPs can check your bag and WILL check your bag if they think you’re sus.
You can fit so much on your person; more than you think. Get yourself a waist trainer. I always wear a waist trainer and leggings under a pair of jeans and a sports bra under my top. I always have a jacket on me just in case I’m a bit lumpy, and the jacket ALWAYS has inside pockets.
Bonus if your top is a turtle neck, bc then you can wear other tops/ dresses underneath and they won’t peak from over the top.
I also try to avoid concealing on floor, but obvs that’s not always possible. That’s what the jacket is for!
My inside pockets are LARGE! I sewed them in myself so I know exactly how much they fit. AND YOU SHOULD TOO!
Almost all caught stories I’ve read have been through people checking bags. Don’t make the same mistake!

Tags & How to Remove them
GATOR TAGS: You can remove them by wrapping a rubber band in between the pin and the tag. Type in “How to remove gator tag with rubber band” on youtube.(: THIS IS THE ONLY TAG THAT CAN BE REMOVED WITH A RUBBER BAND.
SENSORMATIC TAG: I’ve seen them as white, tan, and black. As long as it has a little slot on it, you can remove it with a hook. Below is a picture of what a hook looks like and where you can order it in the U.S.
https://www.etsy.com/listing/218315192/replacement-hook-part-for-sensormatic
I call the first 3 tags “golf” and “clam” tags. I don’t know what #4 and #5 are called. I’ve never seen #7-#9 either. Haha. #6 is a pencil tag attached to a lanyard. Lanyards are tough to cut. You’d have to have some wire cutters or something. All of the tags above can be removed with a golf detacher, which is made of a Neodymium magnet. Below is a link to where you can buy a golf detacher and what it looks like.

SPIDER WRAP: These are normally used on boxed items. DON’T TRY TO CUT THE WIRES BECAUSE AN ALARM WILL SOUND. You can either remove it by ripping off a corner of the box and shimmying the wrap off or you can use a spider wrap detacher. I’m not sure how the detacher works because I don’t have one, but you can search it up on youtube.(: A picture of the detacher and a link to buy it is below.

guide to starting a lïftîñg blog
with the pandemic going on, i've been seeing more and more people are talking about $têälïñg... which means more lîftîñg blogs are going to be created, so i thought i'd make a quick guide.
1: choose your url
the best urls have something related to lîftîñg in their names, as this lets other lîftîñg blogs know you're on their side. many people, myself included, block anyone who interacts and isn't a lîftîñg blog (unless an ask/message is sent saying that your lîftîñg blog is a side blog) (but honestly i don't recommend making your lîftîñg blog a side blog. mistakes get made too easily)
also - kleptomania is a real disorder. don't put "klepto" in your url unless you actually have kleptomania. (which you probably don't, because kleptomania is characterized as $tëålîñg things that you have no use for with no control and feeling intensely guilty afterward. it's very different from the kind of $tëålîñg we do.)
2: setting up your blog
there's a few things you want to do to make sure your lifting blog stays private, or else you might get caught, reported, and deleted by antis.
some people feel safer with a vpn on. this isn't 100% necessary for everyone, but there's no harm in it. it's not hard to find free ones, and spending money on a vpn might be worth it for you because they have other uses.
hide your blog:
settings > visibility > turn on both things to hide your blog from tumblr search and google search.
settings > pages > turn off likes and following so no one can see those pages except you.
settings > general settings > privacy > turn off all three things, just to be safe. this last one isn't necessary, but i recommend it.
also, a lot of people have "roleplay" in their bio as a way of warding off antis.
3: running your blog
don't interact outside of the community. reblogging/liking a post from a non-lîftër calls attention to your blog and every lifting blog you interact with. it's putting yourself and your favorite blogs in danger of being deleted. in fact, many people will block anyone who interacts outside of the community. i'm wary of any post with 1000+ notes, as they can have antis seeing them everyday.
don't tag anything with specific tags. again, this just makes lîftîñg blogs easier to find. make your tags as vague as possible, like "tips" or "important" etc. (i know posts should be hidden from tumblr search, but we can't rely on tumblr to do what we tell it to.)
don't post any personal information. no pictures/videos of your face, no last names, some people have fake first names, and no specific locations. download an app that can remove exif data from pictures, as this can lead to your location. THIS INCLUDES IN DMS. just because the person you're messaging is a lifter does not mean you should trust them.
obscure specific words and names. store names like ŵàlmärt and words like lìftîñg could be picked by search engines if unobscured.
don't be afraid to ask questions! there's no such thing as a stupid question, and when you're lifting it's better to be safe than sorry. i'm always open for asks, though i'm not always logged into this account so it might take me a second to see them.
4: don't get comfortable.
remember that $høplîftîñg isn't a game or a competition, it's a crime. think of that fact every time you go out to $tëál. every time you see something you want, ask yourself if it's worth it. don't get greedy, don't $tëål more than you're ever going to use. be confident, be careful, and know when to stop.
good luck! -M

this is my lil lifting kit:
-a couple of decoy pens to make it look like a pencil case
-seven lil neodymium magnets hidden in a pen
-masking tape wrapped around a ruler (so i can fit the tape in the box + ruler makes it look like a pencil case) for sticking tags to the underside of chairs etc for hiding
-craft knife for cutting tags off
-ribbon with elastics for removing gator tags
because it looks like a pencil case i dont have to hide it in the lining of my bag. i usually bring a small notebook with me to give a reason for me to be carrying a ‘pencil case’

I just got my first magnet today from amazon for only $10 and I can’t wait to use it! I have heard really good things about this particular magnet from other lifters so I decided to get it. It is a N52 1x1 inch neodymium magnet. The nice thing is it’s really small so easy to body conceal but it is still really strong. Here is the link if your want to get it which I recommend!

could u explain how do u hide tags, i dont know how to get rid of them lol
well there’s a multitude of ways! i’ll list them from the best methods to the worst in my opinion🍁 make a booster box from a sandwich box, foil, and tape, and bring the tags out with you. dangerous, but worth it🍁 find clothing that doesn’t have tags already, and transfer the tags to them. you’ll need a magnet or a hook for this depending on the tags🍁 toss the tags into a store bin - you can do this yourself if possible, or drop the tags into an opaque takeout cup and ask employee to throw it out for you. i stuff tissue on top of the tags and then put the lid on so there won’t be any rattling🍁 untag them so the pin and tag are separated and then drop them in different parts of the store - sometimes things aren’t tagged properly and they fall out of the clothing. this explanation will only be accepted if you dispose of one or two tags this way, any more than that and the SA will assume shoplifting instead🍁 attach the tags to clothing that is already tagged - if you affix them to the clothing washing labels it’ll take longer to be discovered🍁 hide them in-store - under shelving, under displays, on the fitting room divider walls, mirrors, or bench supports🍁 hide them in the pockets of clothing
