Through a 'haute couture' shop's window, he can see mannequins donning a bright array of colors next to a reflection of himself. Incidentally, the display reminds him of something a friend said not too long ago, and the sight brings him to all but one conclusion: ❝...nay, I do not need any greens, sprinkles of gold, or splashes of pink. Am I to be the very image of a Moonfire Ranger?❞ So appalled is Auren by the thought of dressing in such conspicuous hues that he does not realize he's spoken aloud, as if directly addressing the woman beside him.
