There are two sides in Lightcannon artists:

I won't deny, Lux is more the "I can make her worse" trope and I'm here for it

Lux is such an interesting character to 'add' to the Arcane cast, as a lot of fanfics do.

She's an aristocratic daughter, like Caitlyn and Mel, who understands the privilege and expectations that come with the burden of the Family Name.

She's also a member of a persecuted underclass, like Jinx, Vi and Ekko, at the same time.

Like Ekko, she's a compassionate community leader who takes in refugees.

Like Mel, she's a secret mage with light-based powers, a tense relationship with family particularly an authoritarian matriarch (her aunt, in Lux's case) whose cold shoulder is partially to shield her from being discovered and exploited by a sinister organization (Black Rose / Mageseekers)

Like Jinx, she's a younger sister with an overprotective older sibling, though her relationship with Garen (while not uncomplicated) is at least less violent than Jinx's with Vi.

Also like Jinx, she struggled with her identity and volatile inner power, trusted an older male mentor figure with revolutionary ideals who encouraged her to embrace the destructive nature of her power, only to betray that trust at a pivotal moment.

She also accidentally started a bloody revolution so there's that.

In Lightcannon fics, she's uniquely positioned to see all sides of Jinx's turbulent relationships with her family and in many cases act as a bridge or offer olive branches to help her mend her relationships.

She's not really the "She can Fix Her!" trope, thank fuck, instead she's just uniquely well suited to support Jinx's healing without taking away any of Jinx's agency in that healing.

It's still Jinx's choice and Jinx's story. Lux can't 'turn her back into Powder again' and wouldn't try. Lux never knew Powder and if she cares for Jinx, it's the Jinx she knows, right here and now, wounds and all.

But if Jinx chooses to reach out to the other people in her life, especially Vi, Ekko, and Caitlyn, and try to mend bridges, Lux would be an amazing support for that process.
