gilbert baker designed his flag with the express purpose of it including every single queer person. baker was so dedicated to making sure his flag was inclusive that he added another stripe in 2017, lavender, to represent diversity. the concept that it’s for white gay men came around later and needs to be changed.

can we please go back to associating the original flag, and ideally the modern rainbow flag, with inherent inclusion of every single queer person? instead of deciding that the original wasn’t good enough? personalized flags are important for representing those who have typically been excluded from the queer community, but reclaiming the original flag as a symbol of inclusion is important too.

I just found out one of my favorite AO3 authors of all time is a fucking neurosurgeon which was surprising initially just because I often forget AO3 writers are real people and not smut angels sent down from the heavens to make us feel alive, but in hindsight it makes perfect sense.

He recently reached his initial goal, €50,000, but was forced to extend the goal to €80,000 because they are waiting for the crossings to open in order to travel to safety and the cost of food in Gaza is now so expensive.

And other later hits such as what if this Black Doctor shared regeneration with my favourite white guy! And how about the most important character in this season starring two leads of colour is the white woman from the previous season! Comes: what if the first ever Black lead of Doctor Who had a shorter run than almost any Doctor in the show's history AND his final scenes were totally overshadowed by not one not two but THREE white women!!! Congratulations to Russell T Davies for never EVER beating the anti-Black racism allegations because his head is so far up his own ass. Christopher Eccleston was right. Fire that fucker. Ncuti Gatwa, you were dazzling and you deserved so much better.

This entire era was just rtd doing nostalgia bait for his previous era without actually bothering with a proper plot. Bringing back legacy characters can absolutely be done well and has been in the past, but here is really just felt like it was overshadowing the doctor. And I’m sure 15 will get overshadowed by a lot of fans because rtd had tennant before him and Billie piper after him. Both are good actors who played well liked characters, but they aren’t the entire show, they are not more important to doctor who canon than everyone else. Can’t we just take the time to appreciate a new actor who was delightful in the role of the doctor

Not to mention the racism of it all, rtd has a track record of sidelining his characters of color, and unsurprisingly he did it this time too. Ncuti was the first black doctor and him and Belinda were the first fully nonwhite tardis team, and yet we had so many doctor lite stories and Belinda’s characterization was basically forgotten in favor of focusing on the white companion from last season
