Quote
After years of betrayal, injustice, heartbreak, and pain, I refuse to ever chase after the approval or affection of any person. I am who I am, and though I will be growing throughout my life, if you cannot accept my current state of contentment and fluidity, you do not support me. To chase after anyone’s approval or affection, other than that of yourself and God, is to place yourself in the middle of a storm that will never give you clarity, peace, or stability. Remove yourself from that storm by focusing on your personal growth and happiness, give back for the sake of God and good, and trust in God to handle your affairs and to understand you more than you understand yourself. Approval and affection will come your way from whoever it is meant to. Your job is simply to project out into the world what you hope to see returned to you.

BBC — A new exhibition aims to celebrate the role Muslims played in saving Jewish lives during the Holocaust.
The Righteous Muslim Exhibition is being launched at the Board of Deputies of British Jews in Bloomsbury, central London.
Photographs of 70 Muslims who sheltered Jews during World War II will be displayed alongside stories detailing their acts of heroism.
The exhibition hopes to inspire new research into instances of collaboration between the Muslim and Jewish communities.
Yad Vashem, Israel’s official memorial to victims of the Holocaust, honours nearly 25,000 so-called “righteous persons” who risked their lives to protect the Jewish community during Nazi Germany’s reign of terror.
Some 70 Muslims have recently been added to the list. The exhibition explores their stories.
‘Empathy and cohesion’
Among the “righteous” are the Hardaga family from Bosnia who provided shelter for the Jewish Kavilio family when German forces occupied Bosnia in 1943.
Half a century later, the Hardagas were themselves saved by the Kavilios during the Bosnian Civil War.

“Dont talk about your riches infront of the poor, dont talk about your good health infront of the sick, dont talk about your power infront of the weak, dont talk about the joys of your life infront of the sad ones, dont talk about your freedom infront of the captivated, dont talk about your children infront of those who cant have any, and dont talk about your parents infront of the orphans, for their wounds cannot withstand more”

Imam Ali describing Prophet Jesus (AS): It is reported that Imam 'Ali ('a) said in one of his sermons: "If you like, I will tell you about Jesus the son of Mary ('a). He used a stone as his pillow, wore coarse clothing and ate rough food. His stew was hunger and his lamp in the night was the moon. His shade in the winter was the east of the earth and its west. His fruit and his basil were what grows from the earth for the cattle. He had no wife to try him, and no son to grieve him. He had no wealth to distract him, nor greed to abase him. He had no mount to ride but his feet, and none were his servants but his own two hands." (Nahj al-Balaghah, Sermon 158).

Some people are just lost
They will take your blood if you say a single thing bad about Aisha. But when the first wife of the Prophet, Hazrat Khadijah is insulted … you don’t hear a single whisper. The wife who gave the Prophet, the best of daughters. Better yet, the Prophet gets insulted but no, you don’t hear them say a single word.
