A tribute to BurningFox6’s “Later, Traitor”, a Psychonauts AU fanfic where Frazie Aquato was given the Whispering Rock pamphlet instead of her brother Raz, prompting her to run off to the camp to master her psychic powers in the hopes that she can prove to her family that she (and Raz) isn’t some cursed, unstable threat just for having them. Unfortunately, she’s a few older than all the other campers there, the counselors are a bit more eager to give her the boot, and then there’s the big sense of impending doom hanging over the place.

New minds (including those of some of the campers!), novel applications of psychic powers, distorted menaces, off-the-rails catastrophes, and some unavoidable literal brain loss can be read about here:

Has a bit of a rough start, but overall, I'd recommend it. Fic is currently on hiatus, but there's a lot to enjoy, and I've got a fanception kind of ending concept for it that you might see more of in the future if the stars aligns.

He is obsessively guilty and has thoughts that jump to the worst possible conclusions whenever something goes wrong. This is kinda inspired by @maplemaplemaplemaplemaple

Obsessed with how they hit us with a turn around. When the last episode released everyone was freaking out about Ragatha abstracting, but now she’s kind of sorted through some of her feelings with Kinger and knows how she can proceed with her relationships. Whereas with the last episode, we all thought Jax was getting better or at least more open, developing a friendship with Pomni, talking about the others, etc, but instead we see how his mentality is that he needs to dehumanise himself and the others in order to cope with everything, and with his whole breakdown he’s likely moved up to the top of the list in terms of abstraction candidates. Love how this episode was about everybody (well mostly everyone) learning some form of self acceptance, and ALSO about absolutely destroying Jax.

Yeah you're right. It WOULD be pretty fucked up if you were a swan but you were raised by ducks and you grew up never seeing another swan or even knowing that such a thing as a swan even existed so you just thought you were a duck with something super wrong with it.
