Constant occurrence where I’m like “I’m sort of pent up, but I’m an adult who can watch adult videos and jack off about it if I want to” and then I watch adult videos for like an hour and then turn off my laptop and realize ten minutes later that I completely forgot the “jorking it” step. I spent the whole hour critiquing the plot and camera work stonefaced and utterly flaccid

"these researchers published a paper on something that literally any of us could have told you 🙄" ok well my supervisors wont let me write something in my thesis unless I can back it up with a citation so maybe it's a good thing that they're amplifying your voice to the scientific community in a way that prevents people from writing off your experiences as annecdotal evidence

so i wore a pride flag pin to work the other day and the kids were all interested (obviously) (find me a classroom of preschoolers who are not obsessed with rainbows) (i'll wait) so they crowded around to see.

"aww!" they said, "it's a flag!!"

but the thing is: they're little. a lot of them don't really have a handle on all their mouth sounds yet.

such as, notably, that tricky tricky "L" sound.

reading an online discussion about fairy shrimp and someone remarked that "what they lack in charisma, they make up in vigor" and maybe I'm just hopelessly bug-pilled but I think these sad little feathers with the dot eyes deserve at least some universal cute credit
