Happy pride. Reminder there is still a big echo chamber underbelly of conservative bigots within the LU / greater Zelda fandom here on Tumblr. This includes many who claim to "love everyone" under their religion, but happily interact with open bigots (such as those on That Conservative Server who think the queer "movement" is inherently predatory in nature. Such rhetoric is incredibly harmful and dangerous toward the queers you supposedly "love").

To the person that had an ask about Deity finding an old friend, sorry the post got deleted so I can’t directly respond to it, but I can definitely imagine Deity made some friends before being trapped. Time may even feel drawn to them through his connection with the Deity. But it’s not like Time can just let him out in the middle of a market to say hi. So how do you explain “hey you know that God you knew? Well he’s trapped in this mask.” That sounds crazy.

She is more of a character from a made up story. A young woman with black hair and silver eyes. She is locked in a temple lost in the vastness of the unknown in an empty dimension between empty dimensions.

Context, she became a deity to destroy a thing that threatened the home she loved. But now the isolation is making her break her mind as she remembers her family and her now divinity and power that took her away from them in a confinement imposed by the priests of her home by branding her as a blasphemy against the real deities, who never came to help.

And that for some unknown reason the temple is transported to Hyrule where she draws the attention of the Links. And when they enter they find this lonely lady, singing and crying to avoid falling into dementia. Ignoring the blondes because she thinks they are part of some hallucination.

So the boys decide to free her from her and one of them is the one who took the most interest in her.(This came to me after listening to the Billie Eilish song 'everything i wanted')

This ask was for LU, but because this is not an LU blog it will be answered with my interpretation of the Links.

The Link most drawn to this character would probably be Time. His relationship with the Fierce Deity makes him the most understanding of another trapped Deity. He understands the emotions and damage it it do to someone, having experienced it through the Deity. In fact, Fierce may be insistent that Time let him handle the goddess to avoid any of his boys getting hurt. As much as they all want to help, an angry god is very dangerous and he’s not putting anyone he cares about in danger.

So a few things I need to say and I’m gonna pin this post so people can see it. Once again, I am not an LU blog. I keep getting asks for the LU Links. The ones that are in my ask box I will still answer but they will be written as my versions of the Links. If you’re someone that sent an LU ask you can send me a message if you prefer me not to answer it if it’s not LU. I’ll give it a few days after this post. From now on any asks I get regarding LU will not be answered. I hate being the bad guy, but I’ve said it multiple times and it’s even in my pinned rules post. I would also prefer not to mix in other fandoms. Using other fandoms to explain certain powers or something is fine but bringing in other fandoms is a bit much for me because there’s no guarantee I’ll know anything about that fandom and I don’t feel like doing a bunch of research to answer it. Im sorry if this comes off as mean, I'm trying to say this as nice as I can

Mechanic!Reader can definitely upgrade Wild's Sheikah Slate with the right equipment. Lombaxes are master engineers so understanding new technology isn't that difficult. Reader has a bunch of gadgets that can be a big help in dungeons.

The first is Gravity Boots which can let them walk on walls. It also helps that the boots come with thrusters so Reader can travel very fast if needed. Nice to have when levers are on the ceiling or have to race to the next switch in order to open the path.

Reader can also make the group gear but it isn't gonna be anything very fancy considering the materials and era they're in. Oxygen Masks for everyone so if all of them have to traverse deep water or deal with toxic air then they can at least breathe no problem.

Mechanic!Reader is very curious about magic since everything they use is mechanical in nature. This sorta leans into exchanging information about to the various places the Lombax has visited or seen. Although Time and Wild might be unnerved hearing that there's way more than one moon in existence.

Mechanic!Reader meeting Fierce Deity would be quite a sight though. A god and an alien in the same room. Time has so many questions he has to answer cause Reader seriously needs some context.

Mechanic!Reader: I can't believe you were carrying an actual god in your pocket.

Time: Saids the person who carries a murderous metal guard and a weapon that can summon an eldritch abomination named 'Fred'.

Mechanic!Reader: Touche. *Looks at FD* As long as you don't call me a cat or make cat puns then we're good. Otherwise I'll make you dance for three hours straight.

Warriors: *shivers as he remembers dancing for half n hour*

Everyday Mechanic!Reader comes up with a new device to help the chain. Some of them are amazing of them have some malfunctions, it’s not easy mixing mechanics and magic. The real challenge is making something that wild won’t break.

Reader but they're from another world. Species I say Ratchet and Clank's Lombax cause the weaponry from that series are both fun and insane. Literally has a called the Groovitron which forces enemies to uncontrollably dance.

Basically Reader's ship crash lands in Hyrule's era and the Chain to be nearby when it happens. Everyone is obviously concerned but decide to check for any signs of life. They find Reader alive yet badly hurt and manage to get them out.

Once they're healed, the Chain learn who their furry guest is and what happened thanks to a universal translator. Something had interfere with the ship's controls which made them crash. Reader, whose a mechanic, is practically stranded as they don't have the parts to fix it.

The Chain take the Mechanic with them after putting the ship under Purah and Robbie's protection. I can imagine Reader's being quite a spectacle even their main weapon, the Omniwrench, which is a staff like wrench that can turn various mechanisms.

Groovitron definitely made Time think back to the Kamaro Mask as he just watches a Lynel suddenly breakdance. Mr. Zurkon intimidates everyone but Reader. No one let Wild near the Chimp-O-Matic or you'll get pure monkey chaos. Don't get me started on the 'Rip You a New One' RYNO V.

Honestly haven’t played those games but I understand what your taking about.

Purah would definitely but reader to work around the lab.

Imagine what Reader could do with the Sheikah slate. Can someone say upgrade?

'Time is very tired.' XD The only reason that man isn't being a gremlin with Gadget Reader's powers cause he doesn't want to be caught. He's the kind of prankster no one would suspect when shenanigans happen.

Funnily enough, Reader can be responsible albeit in a weird way. A Link about to do something really dumb? Gadget!Reader has multiple hands pulling them away. Don't hide being tired or sick cause a blanket burrito is in your future.

Gadget!Reader just gets into silly antics as they believe the Chain need a chance to smile and laugh more. All of them may be heroes but they're still people. Sometimes laughter can be as effective as a good hug.

Though if Gadget!Reader meets Fierce Deity, they probably throw him off in seconds by being so average about it.

Reader: You are quite tall.

Fierce: And you are a bit strange.

Reader: I'm a walking talking toolbox that says something like 'Go Go Gadget Extend' to do most of their abilities. *extends their hands and neck as an example* Of course I'm strange.

You make a good point. Deity might be the parent in this scenario. He know Time through most of his childhood he KNOWS this man is a gremlin. But he’s not a snitch. So chances are the rest of the chain won’t even find out who Gadget readers partner in crime is. Deity is also endlessly fascinated by Gadget and would love to see everything they can do.
