I FINALLY FINISHED MY BACHELORS WORK YAAAAY. Its basically a comic book and all of the artwork in it is done with linocut or drypoint. The whole book is 62 pages so i only included my favourite spreads. Excuse my horrible handwriting lol.
And you know i had to include Maxmilien and Saint-Just in the story somehow.
Voltaire is a main character in every story and through him reader learns how the 18 century changed regarding science, religion, philosophy and politics. The 3 chapters are beginning, middle, late 18. century. The story is always: "if he was 30+ yo in differnt time what he would be doing"?
The book also includes or mentions historical characters:
Ch. 1- Jean Antoine Nollet, Émilie du Châtelet, René-Antoine Réaumur, Edmund Halley, Isaac Newton, Louis XIV.
Ch. 2- Jean le Rond dAlembert, Denis Diderot, Louis XV.
Ch.3- Maxmilien Robespierre, Louis Antoine Saint-Just, Anton Lavoisier

Happy birthday to the Mr. Incorruptible himself.
🕊️🍊
I finally didn't forget Maxims birthday this year so I was able to make something on his b-day. Thought this song was perfect for him since it's about a corrupt politician and Maxims literally known as THE INCORRUPTIBLE but the Thermidor propaganda did such irreparable damage to his image that it's fitting to put him into an animatic with such an oxymoron of a song. (the name itself being also a sort of oxymoron)

Joyeux Anniversaire Robespierre ! I present on this occasion...
A preview of the sequel to my Vampire Robespierre Comic l'Archange et le Diable !
I am exhibiting at Shortbox Online Comics fair this year and the comic will be available digitally for purchase/download.
The comic is entirely standalone (it's a series of small moments just like the first one), you don't need to have read the first comic to understand it. That being said, if you weren't able to secure a physical copy, I am looking to make the first zine available for download online soon.

I tried making a comic based on that one letter Couthon wrote to Saint Just while he was away (thank you again to the people who answered my ask when i wasnt able to find it). Focusing on the fact that Couthon was, at the time of writing it, acknowleding that hes never going to be able to walk again. And that he was (and still kind of is) being forgotten, ignored and overshadowed by SJ and Robespierre.
Im probably not going to finish it because i didnt like the way it was turning out (im more of a "full one piece" person and dont have much experince with comics), but i spent too much time on it so im just going to post it anyway. Coincidentally on the first day of pride month lol

My take on the events of 8 Thermidor before Robespierre made his last speech to the convention.
Heavily inspired by the work of Janelle Feng because holy hell the way they panel and do comics makes my brain so happy I want to eat it-
