2015-2016 Pegacorn Society

Q: What is the Pegacorn Society? A:  A way to get a surprise diaper once a month, for the duration of the subscription.

Q:  What prints will be used for the Pegacorn Society? A:  In a nutshell, we have been putting away (ok, hoarding!) special prints just for these diapers.   We will stay away from thinner knits, holiday prints, sports teams etc.  But, almost everything else is fair game.  The only reason these prints will be stocked is: 1) if we end up making an extra by mistake 2) if someone who has a SYOF spot sends the fabric in 3) its been more than 18 months sine the print has been used for the Pegacorn Society.

This is our third time running this subscription, our first time around we only offered 3 month subscriptions.  This time we are offering 1 month, and 3 months.

Listings will be for 1 month or 3 month membership to our exclusive Pegacorn diaper of the month club. All diapers will have the Pegacorn tag separate from the usual LFP logo/size tag.This listing will be up until we reach 20 orders or 15 days which ever comes first. November 1st the listing will close if it hasn’t hit 20 orders, at that time work will begin. The listings for October 14, 2015 will include shipping for your item(s) in the subscription length.

If you choose a 3 month subscription, all diapers will be the same size, and you will be able to include your input for: Gender: Boy / Girl Size (NB, 1, 1.5 Serged, 2, 3)

New for November 2015:

You may now choose pants, undies, and fluffy undies.  If you choose a 3 month subscription, all 3 months will be the same size.

Optional soaker testers!

These soakers will not replace current soakers.  These will be offered randomly during stocking, and potentially through retailers.

These soakers will give those who need a different option in their diapers, the chance to use something else.  These will fit Size 1, 2, and 3.   Testing:  To make sure they provide enough coverage, as well as dry time.  Do they dry faster? or take longer to dry?

Trainers! (Fluffy undies!)

Trainers have been on our to-do list for a few years now, and we finally made some testers! Stocking September 2nd, 2014 These testers are size 2-3T, and made with the same pattern as our undies.  The difference is:  there is an inside layer of polyester fleece lining the body of the undies & 2 layer bamboo snap in layer.  This "insert" can be taken out if your little one no longer needs it.   Some revisions may be made after the initial testing phase, but we are so happy to be able to offer these!

Q:  Will "Pegacorn Society" Diapers be offered all the time? A:   It may not be offered continually, but we will try to offer this at least twice a year.

Q:  What prints will be used for the Pegacorn Society? A:  In a nutshell, we have been putting away (ok, hoarding!) special prints just for these diapers.   We will most likely stay away from thinner knits, holiday prints, sports teams etc.  But, almost everything else is fair game.  These prints will only be used for the Pegacorn society, and probably will not be used again in the future for stocking (the only way they might be used in the future for example: is if someone who has a SYOF spot sends the fabric in, or its been more than 18 months sine the print has stocked for past stockings etc.)

First subscription will be for 3 months, and these spots will be listed on December 10th, 2013.

October 2013 Photo Contest

Now that facebook allows us to have a "like" count as a vote with the new rules we can open up photo contests regularly again!!

Photos must be taken by you, and you must own the "rights" to the photo being submitted.  By submitting photos you are giving Little Fancy Pants, LLP the right to use the photo for publishing, marketing, advertising, print, and media. 

Two winners - one being chosen by the admins of LFP, the other being chosen by number of "likes" by the cut off time on our main page.

Prizes: Both winners will receive:  $25 coupon, an optional "dibs" spot in our future "Pegacorn Society" monthly diaper club, and your photo will be on our next business card design. Timeline: Cut off time to enter your photo by email: 10/10/2013 at 6pm eastern. Photos should be up on our main page within a day or two, once they are up the cut off time to vote for your favorite photo will be Thursday 10/17/2013 at 6:00:00 pm eastern. Introducing new "soft serge"!

We are pretty excited to introduce a new type of thread, which is much softer in comparison to poly thread we've used for serged style diapers in the past.  This new thread is soft nylon rather than polyester. What does this mean?   Babies who may have sensitivities to poly thread, may be able to wear the new soft serge diapers without any problems, because its soft texture is not as harsh as polyester.  We introduced this back in July, while we were working on group customs - but after receiving flawless feedback about how soft the thread is, it is now here to stay!  Currently we have about 7 different colors in stock, and will continue to introduce more colors in the future. 

Will all diapers have this new thread?    No, unfortunately there is a limited color selection for this thread type, so we may still need to use polyester thread for some serged diapers in the future - but will do our very best to use soft serge whenever possible.  Future listings will state "soft serge" in the title to distinguish the difference.

Based on a December 2012 Survey:

Newborn: 8-13LBs (Although there have been tiny babies, and bigger babies shown in photos posted)

Size 1: 13-25LBS

Size2: 16-30LBS

Size3: 27-44LBS

  Sizing listed is approximate and may vary depending on the shape of the baby.

Newborn

Approx. 4 to 15 lbs.

"Old" Fit (Size 1) OS

Approx. 9 to 25-30 lbs.

Wing to Wing: 16" rest and about 18.5" stretched

Rise: 13" at rest

"New" Fit (Size 2) OS

Slightly larger pattern

Approx. 9 to 28-35 lbs.

Wing to Wing: 17.5" at rest, about 21" stretched

Rise: 15" at rest

Toddler (Size 3)

Approx. 18 to 40 lbs.

Little Fancy Pants diapers are made in the USA.

Cotton/polyester velour, polyester fleece middle layer, cotton/polyester velour inside. Soakers are made of cotton velour, and bamboo fleece.

Crossovers are made with 2 layers of bamboo fleece.

*Size 2 was introduced Late January/Early February 2012.  They originally only had 5 fold down rise snaps, and now have 9 snaps on the fold down rise (FDR).

Serged Diaper Pattern Change: Effective with the January 24, 2013 stocking: New size 2 serged, longer rise and slightly longer wings compared to a size 1. The "old" size 2 serged will now be the size 3 serged.

Soaker History:

The new thicker soakers were introduced at the June 21st, 2012 stocking.

The soakers were made a little wider in September 2012.

Soakers were changed to cv/all bamboo on Oct. 29, 2012.

A heavier bamboo started being used for soakers in March 2013.

Tags:

Skinny tags- original LFP tags, used for over 4 years.

Square Tags were introduced May 23, 2012 and started appearing on diapers the beginning of June 2012. But I ran out around August-Sept and had to put skinnt tags on about 70 diapers before the new tags came in again.

Newer Square tags with the numbers inside the square were introduced in November 2012.

Fitteds vs Hybrid Fitteds:

Hybrids were mainly started i'd say November of 2011, I did make a few hybrids before then but mainly regular fitteds before last November. The best way to tell if its an older style is if the snaps are not hidden, if they are not hidden it will most likely be a regular fitted, although some hybrids were made without hidden snaps as well but not many.

Size 1 vs Size 2 (size 1 is on top, size 2 on the bottom)

Size 2 vs Size 3 (Toddler)

Tag information:

 Skinny tag is the older style, and have a thinner fleece used (and older ones have cotton fleece instead of poly fleece) 

Sleepy tags: Only the size 2 has the actual "sleepy" tag, all other sizes have their "size" tag NB, 1, 3 etc.

Snappables:

There are a few types of snappables offered - these doublers have double sided snaps at the top to snap into an existing soaker. We currently offer:  Cotton Sherpa Fleece, Medium weight bamboo fleece, and heavy weight bamboo fleece.
