Why are new cars so uncomfortable to exist in? My 2013 Toyota cradles me with her soft fabric seats and headrest that allows my head to rest back. Not to mention no cd players in these new cars. I ain't gettin a Spotify ya damn capitalists

Y'all, These rich kids don't know nothing, good grief.

I am the nanny of a wealthy family and one of the kids (age 12) pointed to my phone and asked what the hole on the top of it was for. I told him it's a head phone jack. He looked so confused. He didn't know wired headphones existed because he always uses his expensive wireless ones and so do his siblings. Today the kids asked me how often I eat lobster. I said never, because it's very expensive here. And they said they eat it every week. I'm gradually exposing them to ideas of different social classes and poverty so they can be good people when they go out in the world, but some days my patience isn't there to explain why their family has a full fridge and mine doesn't. Some other things I've had to explain:

-why my new car isn't "new"

-why I don't have an iPhone (fuck apple)

-why I am not in college

-why I refuse to get a student loan

-why I still live with my mom

-religions other than Christianity are not satanic

It's hard, but hopefully I can make a difference. It's scary how the wealthy raise their kids.

All this chaos and violence in the US and all the government ever does is add more cops. More patrol cars, more police, more security cameras, more military, more bombs, more anti-homeless architecture, more gates, more military ads, more cop propaganda etc. They never invest in the people. Not in schools, food, healthcare, shelter or anything that would actually serve us. No because humans don't deserve their necessities handed to them in a "developed country". You have to beg for it like a dog, and so many people here are convinced we are dogs. All the US government ever does is beat people into submission, not just its own people, but whoever else dares defy these stupid greedy billionaires that run this country.

some gibbon facts! :D

I know, this is a monkey page but apes deserve some love too. That's right, gibbons DON'T have tails! So they are apes, not monkeys! They are often referred to as "lesser apes" because of their small size, but they are no less amazing! You can find gibbons in southeast asia

Gibbons are most recognized for their long arms which help them swing from branch to branch. Their wrists operate like a ball-in-socket-joint for biaxial movement. It also makes them look very emo when they sit down and cross their arms hehe

Unlike most primate species, gibbons are monogamous. However, sometimes gibbons aren't sexually monogamous (though they will still stay together as a pair), and some pairs even "divorce". But most keep the same mate for life.

Gibbons can walk on two feet like humans, but they need to reach their arms up while they walk to keep balance lol.

Unlike other apes, gibbons don't make nests. Instead they sleep on open branches, with group members on separate trees, except for moms and their babies

Because of their unique long arms and hands, and extra mobile wrists, gibbons are the fastest all-tree-dwelling (nonflying) mammals. However, because of their life in the trees, gibbons can get hurt if their hands slip while swinging or a branch breaks. Therefore many gibbons experience bone fractures at some point in their lives
