        Even though it was early November and volleyball season had ended, both the male and female Nekoma and Karasuno teams decided to have a small practice match to keep their skills fresh. Karasuno had lost once again, but they were steadily getting closer to a victory. After everyone had cleaned up, they parted ways. Nishinoya was staying with his Aunt in Tokyo that week because his parents were on a business trip, so he had planned to walk home on his own, but was stopped by a pleasant girl holding out a cup of hot chocolate. 

          “Huh, is this for me?” He knew there wasn’t anyone else it could be for, but he felt the need to ask regardless. “Thank you!” Nishinoya thanked her a little louder than he should have; he couldn’t help how flustered he got around girls. Taking the warm cup from her hand, he adjusted his orange scarf around his neck, and took a sip with a smile warmer than the hot chocolate itself.

Hands over a Gari-Gari Kun Popsicle with a wide grin on her lips. "The big ace over there told me these were your favorite!"

                                          A girl offering him his favorite Gari-Gari Kun Popsicle ????

A long audible gasp escaped his mouth as his cheeks turned a light rosy-pink. It took him a moment to actually process what he was supposed to do next. 

         He swiftly bowed and stayed there for perhaps a couple seconds too long until he finally spoke. “Thank you very much. I will always remember this moment,” the libero nearly spoke too fast to understand. Swinging himself up after another awkward pause, he accepted the popsicle, and then stared at it as though it was the most beautiful one he had ever seen.

“Five bucks says you can’t lick your elbow.”

                                   “You better have that five bucks ready,” the short, libero shouted. 

       Sticking his tongue out, Nishinoya forced his elbow towards his mouth. It was not as easy as he thought it was going to be. He used his other hand to push his arm in different directions in a pathetic attempt to lick his own elbow. 

                    At this point, it was more than just five bucks–it was his pride.

JAPAN TRIVIA FOR ROLEPLAYERS

I personally take elements of Japanese culture to heart when playing a Japanese muse! I thought it would be useful to say some various random things so people make an accurate portrayal! Of course this is generalization of what’s going on in Japan in day-to-day life… feel free to correct or add your one when reblogging!

In Japan, meat is very pricey. Since it’s often imported. Eating a good steak is a luxury - that’s why thehamburger steak is popular, it’s the substitute of it. (That why they eat eggs all the freaking time it’s cheaper for proteines)

Unlike what some people may think it’s not uncommon to eat with a fork and a knife - I mean how do you think they eat the steak?

Pickled vegetables and nori are usually found in the middle of the table during meals, like how we put bread and butter in the West.

You don’t just take a bath. Bath are purely for relaxation in Japan. You take a shower and then you get in the bath.

Nudity is not necessarily sexual, it’s like a platonic intimacy thing.

Japanese rarely know how to use a computer. It is seen as VERY VERY nerdy aka hardcore Star Trek fan kind of geeky; thus when the computer was introduced nobody wanted one to not be seen like an Otaku.School essays even of 40 pages are done by hand and most Japanese only learn how to use a computer when they find a job. (Yes in Durarara!! in itself Mikado just knows how to type very fast and go on 4chan to get infos and it is seen as WOW)
