Hello, I am Samar Shamiya, married to Hashem Al-Shawish. I have a child born in the war, his name is Omar. He is 6 months old.

We live in the midst of the ongoing hellish war in Gaza, trapped between walls of fear and despair.

We struggle daily to survive in an environment filled with threats and dangers.

We are originally from the north of the Gaza Strip, but at the beginning of the war we were displaced several times without anything. Our house was completely destroyed and we are now homeless.

Hazem Khalil (@hazem1999sblog) is @bilal-salah0's friend. Bilal is verified by Nairuz and Hussein. He's legit. His old blog, @hazem1999, was shadowbanned and he had to remake just a few days ago. Now he's getting error messages when he tries to send DMs. This is really, really bad.

His entire family has been stuck in Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza for months. Now the cost of living has skyrocketed and the means for survival are scarce. His family cannot even access drinking water or food. Tumblr is taking away his only source of income during the genocide.

They need €50,000 as soon as possible, but its been 10 days and they haven't even broken €1k.

shoutout to slow creators!

i know it can be disheartening to work so slowly when it seems like everyone around you works so fast and churns out great content left and right. i know it's easy to get frustrated with yourself for having to spend so much time on one thing and sometimes it's hard to stay motivated long enough to finish. but the things you make are so good, and taking lot of time on something isn't a bad thing. creation can be a very painstaking process, but the amount of love and care and effort and attention you pour into your work bleeds through. people can feel it. they appreciate it. they see how hard you try and they see how your thoughtful approach to creation affects the quality of the end product. speed is definitely a skill you can develop and chances are as you practice more and get more comfortable with things, you'll be able to work faster. but no matter what, the things you make are worth waiting for. keep creating! you are wonderful!

Welp it has been awhile since I have drawn these characters. But I am finally back to thinking about my stories universe and decided to try out some background imagery with the characters. Mainly cause I really need practice with backgrounds and just everything in general.

I heard somewhere that drawing your characters with a background can also help you establish clothing and looks more. So I am once again trying that out, and hopefully I continue on this path to continue developing this long term characters and their stories even more.
