Les Fleurs Mortes Drawings

Yasmeen Ayesh (who made the amazing art for the cover of Les Fleurs Mortes) and I collaborated on a series of drawings inspired by Les Fleurs Mortes.

The song is about feeling nostalgic for another time and place, and how that feeling comes and goes. I feel it when listening to a song or riding my bike. It’s a something that I search for, a temporary escape in my day. I made several pink and red drawings of escapades, empty landscapes with mountains, skies, and islands. Yasmeen added figures and text to the drawings, giving them a story.
