He's there bc he is literally willing to kill hundreds of innocent civilians if it means getting to break EggTech, and he literally says as much to Sonic in the Metal Virus arc. But honestly, as long as it gets the idea across, that's fine. 'Black with blue undertones' was the main idea, although seeing this has made me wonder if I maybe want the protagonist to have honest-to-god blue highlights as well...

Eh, this is just basic design right now, that's something to be worked out with an actual artist.

Side note, I'm actually a little proud of how that freehanded-hand turned out. No refs or anything, just eyeballing it. It's no massive feat but it's the best I've ever done and I can be proud of that.

I am sort of wondering why I'm keeping notes like this on design when I'm planning to commission someone else who may have a completely different art style to me. Still, some notes on Protagonist Eyes, since I'm doing a bit of design work today.

Honestly, two reasons: life kept punching me square in the gut, and I think something about the Tumblr RP landscape changed.

For the first point, I would keep getting back on keen to RP, and then just... kinda drop off too soon after. I felt bad, like I was letting people down by not replying because I wasn't in the mood for that thread (the royal 'that', not any one in particular), and feeling bad made me really not want to come on and check my replies.

But also, I think maybe something about RPing on Tumblr changed? Stuff I did before to interact didn't really seem to work anymore. Which is totally fine! Change happens in online communities, it was me who couldn't keep up.

I do still RP on Discord, though, with friends I talk to all the time OOC (so it mitigates the 'feeling bad for not replying to threads' thing bc I am still talking to them so they know it's not personal).

idk if I'll go back to Tumblr RP. Maybe if I pick up a new fandom, that's what happened when I moved from Undertale RP to BnHA RP. I know right now Tumblr just doesn't fit into my spoon budget, haha. Even just personal silly reblogging, I have a bunch of posts in drafts that I'll reblog properly 'at some point' when I have the energy, probably jumpscare some people with notes on months-old posts.

Anyway~ If you do wanna RP, as I said I'm way more active on Discord, lking22. It does sorta feel nice coming home from work to an ask, though, hence the paragraphs of rambling, lol. Maybe I really should post more.

My deepest darkest fantasy is that I collapse on the street and I am rushed to the hospital. They perform a bunch of tests and find out I am severely deficient in some kind of vitamin. Then I start taking the vitamin and I become the happiest cleverest person alive because all my problems were caused by this one deficiency

Haha fuck what if I am my father's daughter, what if I think I'm a good person just because I want to be one but really I make everyone around me uncomfortable and I'll never be a halfway decent person because I'm not strong enough to recognize my own faults, because recognizing them would mean I would need to take steps to fix them and I'm too comfortable where I am so I ignore my faults as an excuse not to better myself because in reality I am rotten to the core anyway so anything I try to do to fix it will fail and I can't see myself as a failure on that scale otherwise I would just give up and finally fucking kill myself which would be a final cowardly act of avoidance that only hurts the people I tricked into loving me???

Reading this post about how Dracula is, in effect, a series of short stories about Dracula's interactions with the cast, really got me thinking...

Probably the best way to do a modern horror adaptation of Dracula would be to somehow make it a found footage horror movie. Jonathan making some kind of video diary, initially perhaps as something to send to his dear Mina and eventually becomes something to keep his sanity through his ordeal.

And of course, in classic horror movie villain fashion, Dracula could take great joy in fucking around with the footage just to mess with him.
