Albedo's Diary. Part 1.
Date ???
From: Albedo
Current location and temporal parameters of stay in this area remain undetermined. Due to the peculiarities of the space-time continuum in this environment, precise measurement of time is challenging. The discovery of a notebook allowed for the initiation of systematic observation logs at roughly regular intervals.
Previously, researchers of Teyvat had only theoretical conjectures regarding the nature of liminal spaces, but their depth and reliability proved insufficient for practical application. Should the experiment conclude successfully, these records may hold significant scientific value, potentially advancing both theoretical and applied studies of anomalous zones.
At present, several structural subdivisions of this space have been identified and traversed:
1. Bright Chambers
- Wall finish: Small white tiles (visually similar to CaCO₃).
- Presence of recesses filled with liquid, presumably H₂O with a faint turquoise tint.
- Liquid properties: Odorless, tasteless, no observed toxic effects on the researcher.
- Walls contain large openings resembling window structures. Beyond them, a field landscape is visible, but attempts to cross the boundary are blocked by a transparent barrier (possibly polymer-based).
2. Dimly Lit Corridors
- Light source undetermined; illumination is uneven (zones of complete darkness correlate with small chambers).
- Doors are equipped with rectangular openings with optical properties similar to the barrier in Research Zone #1, though the external environment is not visible due to lack of lighting.
No more items fou
- Anomalous substances detected:
- Visual: Black, viscous, with low evaporation rate.
- Skin contact: Reaction with emission of gas (composition unknown).
- Sample collected for further analysis.
- Researcher's condition (from memory):
- Dizziness, visual disturbances, malaise.
3. Anomaly Detected: Door Marked "Exit"
- Emits light; upon approach, the same location as observed in Zone #1 becomes visible.
- Researcher's condition (from memory):
- Onset of paresthesia in lower limbs → loss of consciousness (likely due to cumulative stress exposure).
4. Open Area
- Landscape: Flat field with a single anthropogenic(?) structure (a residential building) and a path leading to it.
- Attempts to deviate from the path result in spatial recursion (teleportation back to the starting point).
- Improvement in well-being after a period of rest.
5. Internal Structure of the Building
- Upon opening the door, instantaneous forced relocation inside occurred, followed by exit blockade.
- Interior: Replicates the parameters of Zone #1 but with a sharp decrease in illumination (likely simulating environmental degradation).
Note: These records are being reconstructed from memory while currently situated in Zone #5. Due to the absence of the notebook at the time of documenting recent events, minor chronological distortions may be present. Nevertheless, key observations have been recorded with the highest possible accuracy.
