Genshin Men Doing You Better Then Your Ex
Pairing: Itto, Xiao, Childe, Pantalone, Dottore, Tighnari, Cyno, Al-Haitham, Zhongli x Fem!Reader
Tags: nsfw, smut, rough sex, gentle sex, bragging, mentioned knotting (Tighnari) clit stimulation, mating mark, biting, mentioned ex-boyfriend
A/N: Written for @tinyyellowtoad!
Itto doesn't just make sure to fuck you better then your ex, he knows he can do that, its not even a challenge, but he also marks you, not with his cum, but with his fangs. He's pulling you back onto his huge cock even as he's coming inside your pussy, sending splashes of cum flying, dripping down your thighs, already marked with bites. The real bite though is when he pushes your head to the side just before his last and by far strongest orgasm, making you clench and gush around his cock.
Xiao isn't much of a show off when it comes to sex but he is when comparing himself to your bad ex. Pretty easy for him to get angry at the fact that your ex didn't treat you right, in bed or otherwise so he tends to remedy that. In a sense he is showing off, but only to you, in the way he smiles at you when you bend your back or squeeze your thighs around his head while he's licking tiny circles on your clit, sucking on the little bud and laying the flat of his tongue over it while you reach your peak.
Childe lets his competitive streak get the better of him when he has sex with you. A part of him almost wants to track your ex down and fuck you in front of him just to prove that he's doing it better every single night. But he also knows that the guy isn't worth your presence anymore. You're too good for that guy, but you're perfect for Childe. Every time he his tip pushes against the entrance to your womb he sees the pleasure in your face, he hears you moaning his name and he knows that he is better, that he is the winner, that he is making you feel the best.
Pantalone wants to hear you saying his name over and over, he wants you to tell him, no to yell, to shout to anyone who can hear, how good you're feeling when he's bouncing you on top of his cock. His smooth, calm voice is constantly in your ear, telling you to reach down and touch your clit for him, show him, every bit of yourself, let him see what makes you feel good, what makes you go insane so he can replicate it and make sex even better next time. He wants you to know that this is about you, that you matter to him, that your pleasure takes priority to his, therefore he will always make you come first.
Dottore treats you like his pretty new prize. You get all of his attention, all of his praise and admiration until he gets tired of you. Which won't be for a very long time if your pussy is anything to go by. Your ex didn't fuck you like this, he knows because he made your him spill the details of it. So now he can make it better for you, he can show you all the ways in which he is better then him. He can make you come, he can make you squirt, he can make you forget that you've ever been with anyone else but him and he will make it so you never want to be with anyone else ever again.
Tighnari tries to get ahold of himself when he realizes that your ex didn't treat you all that well but he just can't hold back the anger. Not towards you, never, to you he will make sure that he is the best and most gentle lover you've ever had. He will spend hours sliding his dick in and out, the knot pushing against but not past your entrance, edging himself deliberately because he wants to be able to give you his all when you tell him he can, when you're ready to take every last bit of his cock and cum.
Cyno can't stop bragging about fucking you better then your ex. Oh no to others, he's not that kind of man, but he wants to make sure you know he knows that he's better. In reality he's looking for affirmation and praise from you, your cunt being sopping wet around him just isn't enough. Yes it feels good but he wants you to tell him just how good it feels. Loves to see it too, your pretty flustered expression, mouth stained with cum drops from earlier and you reaching out for him to hold him closer while he pumps his cum into your pussyhole.
Al-Haitham wants to know every single position your ex fucked you in so that he can fuck you better. Part of it is his competitive streak but a larger part is him wanting to replace those bad sex experiences with good ones. One of his favorite parts of it is knowing very clearly, if your walls being so tight around his length is anything to go by, that you're feeling euphoric from it. When you bend over, present, spread your pussy open and let the cum flow from your pussy while still begging for another round, or two, he knows he's done his job right.
Zhongli gets surprisingly possessive over you when he meets your ex. He's usually not so rough with you when you have sex but something about seeing the man he knows made you feel bad in bed sets him off into a frenzy. His hips keep smacking into yours at inhuman speed, he keeps hissing and growling into your ear, cursing himself that he didn't find you sooner, make you happier sooner. But he can fix it, he loves you more then anything and he wants you to live your best life with him. He will make any wish you have come true.

Family Stability: Adopting Bennett
A Kaeya x Fem!Reader fanfiction. This is also posted on my AO3 under the name corsalberich.

SUMMARY
___
Bennett, an orphan notorious as the town's troublemaker in Mondstadt, had long been shunned by others due to a perceived curse of bad luck that seemed to follow him like a shadow.
Then, one day, your husband Kaeya, made an unexpected decision—to take Bennett under his wing and train him in the art of swordsmanship. This unexpected act of mentorship gradually evolved into a heartfelt desire to offer Bennett a permanent place in your family through adoption.
The idea of adopting Bennett took you by surprise. As someone who hadn't previously considered the prospect of becoming a parent, this choice presented you with new and unforeseen emotions.
In this story, you, an assigned female at birth (AFAB) individual, find yourself married to Kaeya, and together, you navigate the complexities of adopting Bennett and integrating him into your lives.
___
Family Stability
Bennett, the youthful adventurer, found himself in the midst of a Wolvendom excursion, inadvertently nicking himself with his own sword due to his unfamiliarity with wielding his elemental vision.
Spotting the dilemma while on his patrol in Wolvendom, Kaeya promptly dashed over to him.
"Hey, lad, you all right?" he inquired with concern.
"Oh, Captain Kaeya! You see, I'm caught in a bit of a situation, as usual. No need to worry, hehe," Bennett stammered nervously, eager to avoid any reprimand.
Amused by the situation, Kaeya let out a sigh. "Very well, come along then. Let's find some bandages for you."
While the church did provide some care for Bennett, the townsfolk were wary of his presence due to his penchant for trouble. Certain establishments even went so far as to ban him, fearing he might inadvertently cause fires or other mishaps.
Bennett often found solace camping in Wolvendom alongside Razor's wolf pack or lingering around the outskirts of the church, as it seemed no one else was willing to take him in.
"If you're taking me to the church, I'll pass," Bennett remarked, his reasoning clear to him.
"Hm? Why's that? Don't the sisters look after you?" Kaeya queried, puzzled by Bennett's statement.
Bennett glanced to his side, feeling a bit embarrassed about confessing to Kaeya that his presence wasn't well-received.
"I tend to cause a lot of trouble," he replied, his voice slowing down and barely audible.
"I'll take you to the winery, alright? They used to look out for me when I was younger," Kaeya suggested, altering their course toward the Dawn Winery.
There, Kaeya helped Bennett clean up and applied some bandages. Although Diluc was absent that day, the staff didn't mind assisting the young adventurer. Afterward, Kaeya returned home and shared the story of his assistance with you.
"That kid... he's something else. We should lend him a hand," Kaeya murmured while munching on a snack.
"You mean Bennett? I heard he gets into trouble here and there," you responded from the kitchen, where you were busy preparing a meal.
"He has... some potential," Kaeya replied succinctly.
Over the passing days, Kaeya diligently kept watch over Bennett, even though the young adventurer spent most of his time outside the city. Kaeya frequently patrolled the areas where Bennett was known to stay. One day, after completing his duties, Kaeya approached Bennett.
"I see potential in you. I'm going to train you like a true knight. And if you excel, I'll gift you a sword that holds many memories for me. I've had some great times with this old fellow," Kaeya said, lowering himself to Bennett's eye level. He presented his worn yet still-sharp Skyrider Sword, a gleam of memories in his eyes.
Bennett's eyes sparkled with disbelief. To be trained by the head knight of the Knights of Favonius was a dream he had held for the longest time.
"Alright!! Benny's adventure team is finally coming together!!!" he exclaimed with joy, thrusting his fist into the air. Kaeya laughed warmly, responding with a smile as he playfully ruffled Bennett's hair.
You observed that Kaeya had been staying at work later than usual. While you might assume he was at the tavern, he would return home without any signs of drinking, though he appeared dirtier and more exhausted than usual. Despite your curiosity, you refrained from questioning him about his late evenings.
As the clock struck 11 PM, you heard the front door open, prompting you to hurry downstairs. There stood Kaeya, covered in dirt from a long day's work.
"Darling... where have you been? Why have you been coming home late these past few days?" you asked, your concern shown from your tone. He removed his shoes and leaned his worn sword against a nearby chair.
"I've been training Bennett in proper combat techniques," he replied, his voice carrying a hint of fatigue.
Taken aback by his response, you wondered why he had kept this from you; after all, it wasn't something that would upset you.
"Oh, how thoughtful of you, and you even brought your old sword along for it," you remarked, taking note of his actions.
You patiently waited for Kaeya to finish his shower and unwind after his long day at work. Seated on the bed, you engrossed yourself in a book, but your mind couldn't shake off the nagging question of why Kaeya had been concealing these actions from you. Uncertainty lingered around whether his words were truthful or not.
Emerging from the washroom, Kaeya entered the room, a towel draped around his lower body. The lingering steam from his hot shower surrounded him as he moved. He changed into his sleepwear and settled back into bed, his long cerulean hair brushing against your shoulder.
In a hushed tone, he spoke, "You know, I believe Bennett could use some stability... like a family."
Taken aback by the unexpected revelation, you closed your book and shifted closer to Kaeya, lying down beside him on the bed. Gently, you cradled his face in your hands, even though his eyes remained shut, seeking a connection through his gaze.
"What are you trying to tell me, my love?" Seeking clarity, you needed to hear the words directly from him. It was hard to gauge if he was speaking sincerely or if sleepiness was affecting his words.
With a hint of weariness in his voice, he murmured, "I... think we should consider adopting Bennett." As the words left his lips, exhaustion quickly overcame him, and he drifted off into slumber.
Despite initially dismissing Kaeya's words as the product of sleepiness, a nagging feeling in your heart led you to reconsider. His behavior over the past few days and the memory of your recent conversation began to make sense. You and Kaeya had been hoping for a child of your own, trying for a long time without success. The possibility of adopting had never crossed your mind, and the idea of Bennett becoming part of your family seemed unexpected and almost fated.
The following day, as you and Kaeya were getting ready to leave for work, you stopped him in his tracks, determined to seek clarity about his late-night revelation.
"Kaeya, about what you said last night... about adopting Bennett, did you mean it?" You grasped his fluffy scarf, your grip firm as you looked into his eyes, searching for sincerity.
His response was immediate, his voice carrying genuine enthusiasm, "Yes, my love. I truly meant it. In fact, I'd like you to join us in Bennett's training after work. I plan to ask Diluc to help train him using his pyro vision." His words held a depth of care and consideration that surprised you, confirming that his intentions were indeed heartfelt. With a nod, you acknowledged his decision, your heart opening to the possibility of expanding your family in an unexpected way.
After finishing your work for the day, you accompanied Kaeya to the training grounds located behind the Dawn Winery. Diluc was already present, arms crossed as he observed Bennett's practice of pyro skills. Kaeya's arrival was marked by his distinctive clap, a way of announcing his presence.
"Ready to give it your all, Benny? Your determination is truly exceptional, embodying the spirit of a true knight," Kaeya praised, eliciting a wide grin from Bennett.
As you watched the two brothers guide Bennett through his training, it became evident that Kaeya had a genuine and caring approach towards him. However, despite witnessing this bond, you felt that you hadn't spent enough time with Bennett to make a firm decision about adopting him. During a break in their training, you took the opportunity to approach Bennett and initiate a conversation.
"Bennett, right? I'm Y/N, and I work in Mondstadt's public relations department. You probably know me as Captain Kaeya's partner. How are you finding the training so far?" With a friendly smile, you settled down beside him, curious to hear his thoughts.
"Miss Captain! Training has been amazing. I've actually stopped accidentally burning my own clothes, and look! I can lift the sword properly now!" His voice brimming with enthusiasm, Bennett eagerly demonstrated his improved swordsmanship and proudly displayed his now-faded scars.
Observing Bennett's boundless enthusiasm, you comprehended the reason behind Kaeya's optimism for the young adventurer. Despite his unfortunate streak of bad luck, Bennett managed to maintain his unwavering optimism, a rarity in these times.
"How about we treat ourselves to some ice cream afterward, and then you're welcome to join us for a sleepover at my place tonight? How does that sound?" you offered, a warm smile on your face. Bennett's eyes lit up, clearly feeling the wave of good luck that had befallen him today.
"Absolutely! I haven't had ice cream in ages! This is going to be fantastic!" He exclaimed, his excitement causing both Kaeya and Diluc to glance over in curiosity.
Catching Kaeya's eye from a distance, you playfully mouthed the words "He's so adorable," to which Kaeya responded with a silent yet knowing nod, his agreement evident in his expression even without words.
After completing their training session, you, Bennett, and Kaeya embarked on a cheerful stroll back to the city. Your laughter resonated through the streets as you headed to the ice cream parlor, where Bennett was in awe of the array of flavors available.
Despite Kaeya's initial reservations about indulging in ice cream due to his self-proclaimed 'strict' diet, you playfully coerced him into taking a bite, remarking, "It's not dieting if you're still drinking alcohol!" Your actions earned a hearty laugh from Bennett as he watched the playful exchange.
Amid the joyous atmosphere, Bennett couldn't help but sense a feeling of belonging and warmth among the three of you. As he observed the interactions between you and Kaeya, he found himself considering the idea of you being a family. The thought prompted Kaeya to jest, "Benny, can you imagine if she were your mom? Would she be intimidating?"
Bennett, his face adorned with smudges of chocolate ice cream, responded with a grin, "If Miss Captain were my mom? She'd definitely be the coolest mom ever!"
After returning home, the three of you embarked on a cozy evening. Bennett seemed to relish the lengthy shower, possibly due to the rarity of such indulgence. As he freshened up, you prepared an assortment of snacks and entertainment to enjoy together.
Creating a makeshift sleeping area in your living room, you laid out sleeping bags to accommodate everyone. You handed Bennett an old shirt of Kaeya's, now snug on him due to his increased muscle growth, and you and Kaeya settled down on the floor.
Amid the comfortable setting, Kaeya initiated a heartfelt conversation. With his hand resting on his knee, he turned to you and gently inquired, "So, I'm assuming you've fallen for him as quickly as I did, am I right?"
A genuine smile graced your lips as you met his gaze. "Yes, you're right. Bennett's infectious joy brings so much happiness. I see it now."
With a reassuring nod, Kaeya wrapped his arms around you, and you leaned your head on his shoulder. "Well, let's take things at your pace. When you're ready to officially welcome him into our family, we can notify the city registry. Until then, let's enjoy the moments we have together."
The evening carried on with warmth and laughter, as the newfound sense of togetherness enveloped you all in a comforting embrace.
Shortly thereafter, the sounds of Bennett's snores resonated from across the room, where he lay sprawled on the couch, arms and legs outstretched in slumber.
Nestling yourselves into the sleeping bag, you and Kaeya found solace in each other's hug. As you held one another, Kaeya's voice broke the silence, revealing a vulnerable side you hadn't often witnessed before. "You know… I've always wished for moments like this. It's reminiscent of my own past, and seeing Bennett brings out that desire for the best in him. I don't want him to follow the same path I did."
His fingers brushed a stray strand of hair behind your ear as he spoke, his earnestness evident in his gaze. The unexpected revelation allowed you to see deeper into Kaeya's heart, understanding that his motivation stemmed from a desire to redeem himself from his troubled history. Providing a loving and stable family to those who lacked it held a profound significance for him.
Touched by his honesty and sincerity, you gazed into his eyes and held his hand. "You have a heart of gold, Kaeya. The love and care you show Bennett, and your willingness to offer family and support, speak volumes about the kind of person you are."
In response, you leaned in to share a tender kiss, a silent exchange of love and understanding that bound your hearts together even more tightly. As your lips met, you realized that your journey to build a family, while unconventional, was a path filled with compassion and hope.
After that pivotal moment, you and Kaeya welcomed Bennett into your home with open arms, allowing him the freedom to come and go as he pleased. However, Bennett was still a bit puzzled by the sudden generosity, not fully comprehending the true intention behind your actions. He had been taken care of by various individuals throughout his life, leaving him somewhat skeptical of the genuine motives behind your kindness.
Weeks of dedicated training came to a triumphant climax as Bennett achieved his final task: defeating the hilichurls near Windrise. With fervor and determination, he faced the challenge head-on, even if it meant putting himself at risk with his charged attacks. Despite the toll it took on him, Bennett emerged victorious, his passion and resolve shining brightly.
A thunderous applause erupted from Kaeya, his admiration for Bennett evident in his enthusiastic cheers. As you watched, you couldn't help but feel a swell of pride and joy for the young adventurer who had come so far.
"Benny boy, your journey has been nothing short of impressive. Allow me to present you with the Skyrider Sword, a reliable companion for your future endeavors. Take good care of it," Kaeya declared, offering the sword to Bennett with a proud smile. The gesture left Bennett speechless, his world finally falling into place as the significance of his journey with you and Kaeya became clear.
Overwhelmed with gratitude, Bennett couldn't contain his emotions any longer. He hugged Kaeya tightly, tears streaming down his face as he poured out his feelings. "Thank you both so much! You've cared for me in ways I never imagined. I've come to see you both as my parents. I'm sorry for doubting your intentions!"
As Bennett's words filled the room, Kaeya's heartwarming embrace offered solace and reassurance. His voice was soft but filled with sincerity as he replied, "You're not wrong, Bennett. You are family to us, and that's exactly what Y/N and I wanted. Welcome to the family, my boy."
In that heartfelt moment, the bonds of love and support between you, Kaeya, and Bennett were solidified, turning a chance encounter into a tale of unconventional yet unbreakable family ties.
The three of you enveloped each other in a warm and heartfelt embrace, the shared moment feeling like a true family gathering. Joy and contentment radiated through the air as Bennett's voice wavered between gratitude and overwhelming emotions.
"Thank you, Captain—Dad! Mom!" Bennett's voice was muffled by his tearful face nestled against Kaeya's chest, his words a mixture of heartfelt appreciation and newfound familiarity.
As the embrace lingered, you whispered softly to Bennett, your voice carrying the depth of your emotions. "We care for you deeply, Bennett. You're a part of our family, and we love you wholeheartedly."
With determined steps, you three embarked on a journey to the city registry, where the paperwork to formally adopt Bennett was set in motion. The once wayward adventurer, who had found a new sense of belonging in your and Kaeya's care, was finally released from the guardianship of the church. As Bennett became an official member of the Alberich family, your hearts swelled with a sense of fulfillment that words couldn't capture.
Despite the initial skepticism from some of Mondstadt's residents about adopting someone with a reputation for causing trouble, their opinions held no sway over your decision. You understood that beneath Bennett's streak of mishaps was a spirit yearning for guidance and stability, and you were more than willing to provide just that.
What had started as a passing notion during a late-night conversation between you and Kaeya had blossomed into a beautiful reality. Bennett, now officially part of your family, found himself in an environment where he could truly thrive.
As days turned into weeks, Bennett's transformation was evident. He no longer referred to you as "Miss Captain" but instead embraced the role of a beloved son, calling you "Mom" with a warmth that melted your heart. Yet, his playful nature still surfaced as he occasionally reverted to calling you "Miss Captain" whenever he felt a mischievous streak.
United by love, the three of you embarked on a new chapter in Mondstadt, a family bound by a deep and unbreakable bond.

A Cure in Liyue: Kaeya x Fem!Reader One Shot

This one-shot is from my collection called "Postcards from Teyvat," originally posted on AO3. SUMMARY ---
You experienced an unexpected and unfamiliar illness, and Kaeya went to extraordinary measures to ensure your speedy recovery and restored health.

As the days passed, you have found yourself feeling more and more unwell. What had started as a simple cold had turned into something more serious, and it was starting to worry both you and your husband, Kaeya. He had been nothing short of a caring and loving partner, always by your side, helping you with whatever you needed.
One morning, as you woke up feeling particularly weak, Kaeya looked at you with concern in his eyes and asked, "Are you okay, my love?"
"I think it's just a cold," you replied, trying to sound reassuring. "I'll be fine, don't worry."
"Stay home, okay? I'll inform Jean that you won't be able to come to work. I'll also ask Sucrose to create something that might help you feel better," he said, his hand touching your warm forehead.
"Thank you, my love," you uttered, your eyes glistening with fever-induced moisture, feeling thankful that Kaeya was there for you.
Your colleagues at work noticed your poor perfomance while you were sick, making them send you home earlier than usual.
"For today, I'll handle my wife's responsibilities; she's been quite unwell, and I want her to have the chance to rest," Kaeya informed the acting grandmaster, Jean. Naturally, Jean assented, as she too shared concerns about your well-being.
"I truly hope she recovers quickly," Jean expressed, and Kaeya nodded solemnly in agreement.
Throughout the day, you found yourself repeatedly drifting in and out of sleep while confined to your bed. The fever led to peculiar dreams, and each time you awoke, you were soaked in sweat. Your activities were limited to short trips to the washroom or to grab a bite to eat; beyond that, you were too weak.
Summoning your resolve, you decided to make a cup of hot tea. Just as you were about to start, Kaeya returned home from work and noticed your attempt to set up the kettle.
"Please, have a seat there. Let me handle this. I wouldn't want you to accidentally burn yourself," he gently intervened, taking over the task you were grappling with.
With a contented sigh, you shifted to the couch and observed Kaeya as he prepared your tea.
"By the way, my love, you appear to be doing better," he inquired from a short distance.
"I'm still sweating from the fever, and my head is still spinning," you responded with a hint of frustration.
Kaeya arrived with your tea and settled down beside you, his hand instinctively reaching out to your forehead to gauge your fever.
"No need to concern yourself about work; I've already taken care of everything for you," Kaeya reassured, observing you as you took sips of your tea.
"Darling, you really didn't need to go to such lengths," you began to interject.
"Don't worry about it. I'm doing this willingly," he insisted, gently lowering your hand.
But the weeks went by, and you were still awfully sick. Kaeya had taken charge of the household, ensuring everything was in order so you could rest and recover. He cooked for you, cleaned the house, and made sure you had everything you needed. Yet, despite his efforts, your condition showed no signs of improvement.
Kaeya had never complained of the exhaustion brought on by the additional workload, both at work and at home. He was willing to go to great lengths as long as it was for your well-being.
As he swept the bedroom and you lay weakly on the bed, Kaeya inquired, "How did the potion Sucrose made for you work? Did you notice any changes?"
Your voice sounded feeble as you responded, "I haven't felt much of a difference."
Determined to find a solution, Kaeya ventured out to the nearest pharmacy in Mondstadt. He sought a cure for the mysterious ailment you were facing. Unfortunately, the pharmacy could only offer cold medicine, though Kaeya was convinced that your condition was more serious than a common cold.
During his walk through the city, Lisa stopped him. "Is your wife still unwell?" she asked.
Kaeya's expression turned somber as he replied, "Yes, unfortunately. Nothing seems to be working. I don't know what's wrong."
Lisa pondered for a moment before sharing her insight. "You know, I've read that Liyue possesses the most advanced medicine in all of Teyvat. Perhaps you should consider paying a visit. They might have a remedy that could help. They're ahead of Mondstadt when it comes to medical advancements."
Kaeya's motivation surged with newfound hope. The idea of traveling to Liyue to find a cure for you began to take shape in his mind.
—
Kaeya's worry only grew with each passing day, and he couldn't bear to see you suffer like this. "I'm going to travel to Liyue," he told you one day. "I'll visit Bubu Pharmacy. They have renowned medicine that might help you recover."
As much as you protested, he was determined to find a cure for you.
That evening, Kaeya busied himself with packing his belongings for his upcoming trip to Liyue.
He offered you reassurance, "Diluc will be here to take care of you while I'm away, my love. You don't need to worry." His fingers gently caressed your face, and he sealed his words with a tender kiss on your lips, providing you with a sense of comfort.
Your voice held a mixture of emotions as you replied, "I'm going to miss you so much."
His eyes softened as he gazed at you. "And I can't wait to see you back in full energy. I've missed that even more," he expressed before returning to his task of packing.
Soon enough, Diluc had arrived at your residence to stay for the duration of Kaeya's absence. Kaeya meticulously instructed him about your daily routine and the household tasks that needed attention.
"She needs to take these remedies both in the morning and at night, after meals. Please ensure her well-being. I trust you with this responsibility," Kaeya's words were solemn and unwavering, a rare display of seriousness from both brothers, with no room for compromise or questions.
During the days when Kaeya was absent, a sense of emptiness pervaded your life, but Diluc was there as a source of solace. You found yourself reflecting on your experiences—times when you had been without Kaeya for longer stretches, yet the current separation felt more challenging.
"Y/N, I've prepared some porridge. Would you prefer it brought to your bedside or served at the dining table?" Diluc's voice interrupted your musings, drawing you back to the present.
"Thank you, Diluc. The dining table is fine. I've been in bed for hours," you replied, slowly rising and slipping on your slippers.
Seated across from each other at the dining table, you observed Diluc's attempt at cooking. While his culinary skills might not have been top-notch, his effort held significance and that's what truly mattered.
"So, who's managing the winery while you're away, Diluc?" Seeking to break the silence with curiosity, you posed the question.
"Elzer is taking care of the winery in my absence, and Charles is handling the tavern. I trust both of them to manage things efficiently," Diluc responded, his tone maintaining a sense of formality.
Time went by as you anxiously anticipated your husband's return. Heartfelt cards accompanied bouquets of flowers from your friends, wishing you a speedy recovery and warming your heart.
Despite your weakened state, you busied yourself tending to the flowers you had received, determined to stay occupied. The monotony of bedrest and being confined to your home left you feeling restless and bored.
While changing the water in one of the vases, your eyes fell upon a picture of you and Kaeya hanging on the wall. Memories of that moment flooded back, and a wave of longing for him washed over you. How much you missed him.
Diluc, once again checking in on you, asked, "Y/N, how are you feeling?"
"I'm managing, though my joints seem to be giving me trouble for some reason," you replied, becoming accustomed to the limitations of your weakened body.
The following day, as you carefully relocated the flower vase to a spot with ample sunlight near the window, the sound of the door swinging open reached your ears.
"I've got the medicine!" Kaeya's voice carried a palpable sense of relief as he entered, clutching a vial in his hand.
Your heart leapt with joy, and you rushed over to him, embracing him tightly. His warm whisper brushed against your ear, "I hope this finally brings you back to health," his hug enveloping you in a comforting embrace.
Observing the scene from a distance, Diluc witnessed the two of you in the midst of your embrace. While you held onto Kaeya, he noticed Kaeya give him a subtle nod, signifying that his mission was accomplished and acknowledging Diluc's efforts.
In response, Diluc offered a silent nod in return, mentally preparing to take his leave from your home.
Upon beginning the medication, you experienced a notable enhancement in your well-being. Your vision sharpened, the fever subsided, and the discomfort in your joints diminished.
Kaeya shared his experiences during his journey to Liyue, detailing his encounters with significant figures like Lady Ningguang and the nation's Archon, Zhongli. He proceeded to describe the composition of the remedy, its ingredients, and the nature of the illness it was meant to address.
His love was ethereal, like a guiding light that never dimmed. He had traveled all the way to Liyue, seeking a cure for you, and that act of love and devotion touched your heart in ways you could never express.
As you regained your strength, you looked at Kaeya with gratitude and love. "Thank you," you whispered with voice filled with emotion. "You've done so much for me. I don't know what I would do without you."
He smiled gently, brushing a strand of hair away from your face. "You don't have to thank me. Taking care of you is my duty and my privilege. I love you, and I'll always be here for you, no matter what."

synopsis: The relationship Kaeya and you shared always had one distinct pattern - despite his best tries; Kaeya always ended up somehow late. But what does he have to say just before your big day? word count: 1.7k warnings: both marriage and divorce, mentions of kaveh, kaeya has no flaws but imagine he does here

Patterns. They exist all around us; some shift and others stay maybe even through millennia. This world consists of patterns. If the night and day did not take turns; if the seasons didn’t change; if the shores did not bend and break – wouldn't this world consider itself not alive? It never would be, in a true sense.
Yes, yes indeed, this world is alive with patterns. And you know that for a fact – because Kaeya Alberich – your ex-husband – rarely breaks his. And you should have known right from the start just how it all was going to go. You’ve known him for such a long time after all.

The first rapture – your proposal.
In some ways, (and now you can see just how unhealthy that was) - Kaeya was your soil. You’ve grown together; from the first seashells and snow fights all the way to your first kiss – hand in hand and heart in heart, you two would grow.
And yes, back then it seemed like you two were two stems of the same flower – but really – Kaeya’s mood changes affected you more. Kaeya’s cold shoulder was so much worse than any attempt you had with the silent treatment hoping something like that would reach him. It hurt you so much to be on the receiving end of that – shouldn't he also hurt?
You were always the first one to apologize; even if it was his fault. Kaeya’s pattern was his lateness. And yours was apologizing for feeling hurt at his ‘seamless’ actions. Kaeya would keep quiet – and that would eat you up – it would make you apologize for not taking his obligations more seriously. He did not force you, ever. But patterns just exist and this happened to be the one that defined your relationship.
To make it all worse – Kaeya was never late to his obligations. But what is the line that differentiates between an obligation and priority? The first priority perhaps? Were they not the same thing at the end of the day? Shouldn’t your place be there?
He remembered the exact words, gestures, dates, secret codes of those he had to keep tabs on but he couldn’t remember your important days? No, he did remember them – but they were never worthy of anything beyond the minimum promises that would end up broken anyway. It did seem like Kaeya was always chasing something beyond you – or them or this town – or this sky.
And just when you had enough – Kaeya seemed not to be late for once. It seemed like his pattern had shattered. You were thinking of breaking up with him, this was your third anniversary after all. And yes, it was true that when Kaeya decided to dedicate himself to purely loving you; it was magical. But this third anniversary date ended up with you leaving the restaurant trying to keep it together. Because he didn’t show up. Of course, he didn’t.
And then, on the stairs, Kaeya was down on his knees. Not one knee – but two. It reminded you of how once, as a kid, he accidentally burned your favourite picture book and fell to the ground to express his sorrow for hurting you. And this – this was almost the same.
Kaeya proposed to you. And he wasn’t late for once. He took your hand in his – said how he had been waiting for this for a long time. And you said yes. Later Lisa told you he purchased that ring just a year into your official relationship.
It seemed like he wasn’t late in keeping you. Now you are afraid it was just one more aspect to his eternal pattern. But you have no way of being absolutely sure. Regardless of how you would classify it – it happened, and it was the first rapture.

The second rapture – your divorce.
It hurt some deeper part of you. Deeper than the one you imagined. It hurt that you had spent two years of your precious life begging Kaeya not to be late – begging him to keep his simple promises. And he never did.
For a man that was always late; seeing him come to the courtroom before you on that day was an insult. No, that is just your anger talking. It was a knife. It hurt. Because that meant it was an obligation to him. Maybe it was one so that he could get rid of you. As he put down his ring – he hesitated. And you hated him in that moment. He put it down on the paper and said – in the quietest voice you had ever heard from him:
“I’ve..been waiting for this for a long time. I knew it was coming. I saw these papers in your drawer 4 months before you filled them in.”
Your only response was not to hesitate while putting your own ring down.

The third rapture – tonight.
Kaeya was a good man. There is not a single speck of doubt in your mind that Kaeya Alberich’s nature wasn’t one of kindness. So, for a long time you were unsure of how to deal with this cascading pain.
What do you do if a good man hurts you? What do you do as you move on? You accept your ex-husband as he is. You try to further rationalize his patterns and you try not to betray your childhood. Hopes and dreams and all that went into it with him. (Yes, Kaeya was a part of it all. He was your soil. You represent the very same to him.) And with that you get your own pattern of moving on. It had to be on friendly enough terms because cutting him out of your life would be like taking a knife to your own shadow. And you did move forward. Forward through the seasons with your own patterns. Like, drinking water as soon as you wake up and sitting on a bench to just look at the sky and feel the wind dance around you.
That was enough. It allowed you to witness a stranger whose eyes shined while feeding a stray cat. He bent down so slowly and gently to avoid startling it and something about it reminded you of the way the sun kisses the leaves. That was enough for you, but for some reason the cat thought differently because it scratched him. (You would have to thank the cat later.)
The sun made his pouty face seem so adorable in your eyes. He wasn’t mad at the cat. So you approached and picked it up in your arms – finally allowing him to hear it purr.
And since that day through the warm spring sun, and even his warmer gaze, Kaveh became your new pattern. And what a wonder that truly was.
Kaveh’s patterns meant that he was never late. When it comes to you that is. Sure, he was forgetful but about the smaller things. Like, where he put his special good luck pen, or his cat stickers or his final drafts of a project. He told you that he was commissioned to make a new building that would beat his previous achievement but for that – he needed new inspiration. Over time, he named you his muse and said that the windows would reflect the color of your eyes so that when he stood inside, he would be bathed in your hues.
So when he got down on one knee after such a declaration – there was no way you could say no.
But you also couldn’t say no when a certain someone knocked on your door so close to midnight the day before your wedding. His third rapture. When he stood there with a smile and a plea for you to let him enter.
“Kaeya. You cannot be here. It is the night before my wedding, what do you think the neighours would say?” “You can just tell them I got drunk again and ended up at your door once more instead of my own, no? That way the shame is all mine.” “Kaeya, I-” “Please, I have been waiting to say this for a long time.” “Any time those words come out of your mouth nothing good happens. You know that.” “And you know that I have to talk to you.”
Call it fate or your own past looking you right in the eyes but you let him come inside.
“It has been a while since I was last here.” “Not true, you crashed on my couch just a month ago and Kaveh hugged you thinking that was me in the dark.”
A chuckle.
“Now, now, I do not like remembering that. I am just here to confess something.” “Kaeya, midnight is soon and I have to sleep.” “Just hear me out. You were right to leave me and find him. But you are leaving for Sumeru soon, isn’t that right?” “After the wedding, yes.” “I cannot let you leave in silence. I figured I lost you already; telling you all of this doesn’t make a difference.”
Does he really have to? Does he have to look at you with that gaze – the gaze of unmoving love despite all. That depth of love doesn’t change – even while apologizing when you were married his eyes remained the same.
“I said you were right to leave me but, is there really no way you would take my hand and run away right now?” “You already know – that is why you avoid my gaze after asking such a thing.” “Yes - I know... But to let you leave without trying would be worse. You might regret me; and what we had and all the times I made you wait. I just wish we could do it over again sometimes.” “Kaeya, you are my childhood; and you have defined my life in more ways than you will ever know, for such a long time. But none of us are who we want to be; we are just..what we are. Flaws and all. We are our patterns.”
Midnight strikes.
“I love you – despite my flaws.” “I don’t regret you, Kaeya. But I cannot love you in the way you want me to, because I once did, and I cannot love you any longer in the way you’d like me to.”
You get married the next morning. You move to Sumeru. Kaeya never comes to visit. Your other friends send his regards.

a/n: I never promised all of these would be happy now did I?

Genshin men as your ex
Feat.: Alhaitham, Kaveh, Kaeya, Tighnari, Thoma, Kazuha
Warnings: angst, no comfort for some, break ups, moving on, I torture my favorites because I care
Buckle up y’all
Alhaitham
📝 It wasn’t easy being in a relationship with him, and even harder when the two of you broke up
📝 The reason you broke up was all on him you think, considering you had asked him to do one thing one thing!
📝 You had asked him to let you know when he’d be going out of the city for work and who in case anything happened to him as a safety precaution
📝 It wasn’t that hard to do, right? Right!
📝 But his most recent trip to the desert for the new grand sage had him away from you for an undetermined amount of time
📝 He didn’t tell you anything, not who he was working with, the fact that someone you knew who had feelings for your lover was also on the trip
📝 You’d been fine with them being around each other but the last time they got too handsy and he wasn’t refuting their advances
📝 And so when the members of the adventure came into your home unannounced and they were all over him you lost it
📝 You yelled at him, to his surprise and a one sided argument ensued
📝 He didn’t understand the problem with him not telling you things since he wasn’t allowed to tell you or that his coworker was close to him
📝 What threw you over the edge was the mission called for them to be a couple and prove it
📝 “We had to kiss, which was easy cause it felt like kissing you”
📝 Your jaw was on the floor, kissing a random person was like kissing you???
📝 And to add insult to injury they added that they had to practice, unsure if they’re lying but you didn’t care
📝 You point to the door, his guests staring at you all in awe as you tell him to leave and never come back
📝 Months later he finds himself staring into crowds or the house of daena looking for you wondering how you are
📝 When he sees you talking casually with kaveh he feels something tick at him
📝 Oh, so this is the jealousy you had felt
📝 He doesn’t like it
📝 And his new roommate???? How fucking dare you
📝 So when he finds you at the dimly lit tavern, a few drinks in and kaveh nowhere in sight, he saunters up to you
📝 He knows you’re overly emotional when you’ve had a bit and immediately decides to take you home
📝 He leaves kaveh and takes you begrudgingly to sober you up
📝 He tells you he still loves you when he sees you crying over someone who broke your heart
📝 You wanna kiss him so badly but know that he won’t change
📝 You say fuck it and throw caution into the wind
📝 You both wake up and debate about getting back together but first some hard conversations need to be had
Kaveh
💼 You never thought the architect would break up with you
💼 He claims it was a scheduling issue
💼 But in reality he was ashamed of where he lived and his occupation
💼 He felt he didn’t live up to your expectations considering you’re being a higher rank than his roommate
💼 Hell you were being considered for one of the new sages!!
💼 How could he compare?? You should be with someone better
💼 So he dumped you to help you, at least that’s what he thought
💼 You however were utterly heartbroken
💼 You loved him so much that it made you feel stupid
💼 He brought you out of your head and made you feel like less of an object for the akademiya
💼 Everyone loved your brain and thoughts
💼 But kaveh loved all of you and now he’s no longer part of your life
💼 A year later you’re still a new sage and taking your job very seriously
💼 Seldom you’ll ask alhaitham about kaveh and he gives you very short answers
💼 One day you do ask and he deadpans at you “he’s miserable without you just date him again”
💼 You’re shocked that he said that as he takes his seat as the meeting starts over
💼 You lose your breath when kaveh walks in with some papers and cohorts, explaining the additional building and potential growth for education in the desert
💼 He looked regal
💼 When his eyes caught yours, he faltered
💼 After his proposal was approved you rushed out
💼 You call out his name and he freezes
💼 You turn to a secluded corner, biting your lip at him fumbling his words
💼 You look up at him, breathless and a goofy smile on your face
💼 “Buttercup we can’t,” his voice barely above a whisper
💼 You cup his face with tears falling down and shake your head
💼 “But why? I love you!”
💼 Kaveh holds your hand and kisses the top of hand shaking his own hand
💼 “And I love you too, but I’m holding you back. I mean, look at you! You’re a sage! You approved my proposal. We’re doing what we wanted.”
Kaeya Alberich
❄️ How long has it been since you left Mondstadt?
❄️ Years it seems
❄️ And yet kaeya still goes to the top of the windmill towers to throw dandelion seeds on the first day of spring
❄️ He sighs heavily after throwing all the seeds and comes down
❄️ Secretly he hopes the seeds fly to you and let you know how much he misses you
❄️ Or how much he still loves you
❄️ You couldn’t handle all of his lies
❄️ Diluc had warned you, hell the whole city warned you
❄️ But you were smitten and so you ignored them
❄️ Being a bartender at Angel’s Share how you two met
❄️ And inevitably where you broke up
❄️ He was coming back from a raid and met up with his crew at the bar
❄️ You were happy to see him and wanted to bring him his favorite drink
❄️ You pause when you see Rosaria giving him more attention than usual
❄️ It didn’t help that he was flirting back
❄️ He’s always flirted back with anyone who flirted with him
❄️ And you knew the sister does her best to stay out of peoples business but you also knew she used to harbor feelings for him
❄️ This wasn’t the first time this had happened
❄️ Jean, the traveler, Eury, Blanche, literally anyone who walked and talked to him while drinking he’d flirt with
❄️ It didn’t help being the bartender that you’d have to keep tending to him
❄️ So when he kissed rosaria on the cheek you lost it
❄️ You ended your shift early and went to the upstairs balcony for some air
❄️ You heard the door behind you and rolled your eyes
❄️ “Snowflake it was just a kiss on the cheek-“
❄️ “Then next time it’ll be just a kiss on the lips right?”
❄️ He tries to hug you but you shrug him off and attempts to ask what this is really about
❄️ You sigh and stare into his eyes, “were you ever gonna tell me about khanriea’h?”
❄️ He blinks slowly and watches as you pull the letter from his dad out of your pocket
❄️ “Where did you get that?”
❄️ “Does it matter? You’ve been lying to me about your heritage! Do they even know we’ve been dating for 2 years?”
❄️ You’re met with silence and you scoff. “Diluc was right about you. We’re done.” You throw the letter back at him and walk back down.
❄️ That was almost 2 years ago
❄️ Last he heard you were in Liyue, overhearing a conversation Timeaus had with his lady love
❄️ You have taken on a new lover, some guy who works at a funeral parlor
❄️ As he makes his way down the windmill, he sighs and stares at the photograph from the last windblume festival you attended together
❄️ Kaeya makes his way to headquarters to speak with Jean, surely he can make up a reason why he needs to travel to Liyue right?
Tighnari
🌳 The terms forest rangers, you, and Tighnari always were together
🌳 So it hurts when he travels alone to do his job
🌳 Being a forest ranger wasn’t ideal, but he did enjoy it especially if that meant time with you
🌳 The two of you had shared interests during your scholarly days which became a mutual interest of joining the forest rangers
🌳 Protecting the forests and its inhabitants was what brought you together, but it also drove you two apart
🌳 On a day when Collei’s disease had taken a turn for the worst, you gave her an herbal supplement that Tighnari has not approved of
🌳 Although the inflammation had subsided, your boyfriend was furious with you
🌳 “You could have killed her, you know I’m the only one who knows what’s best for her”
🌳 More and more arguments like that had happened, disagreements about which medicine or procedure to take for certain things
🌳 Until one day Tighnari snapped at you
🌳 “Damn it, can't you listen to me for once in your life? I’m the lead forest ranger for a reason, and there’s a reason why the akademiya denied you over and over again. You’re just selfish and stupid! Let me do it.”
🌳 Your lip trembled before you ran out of your shared treehouse, aware everyone had heard what he said to you
🌳 He was surprised when you weren’t beside him in the morning, usually coming back to bed after an argument to talk it over
🌳 But all he found was a letter saying you were done and had left
🌳 Inwardly he was panicking, but outwardly he had a job to do
🌳 So he kept up his job as months and months went by
🌳 He didn’t touch any of your stuff in hopes that you would return so he could apologize; does he sniff your pillow before he sleeps and starts his day? Yes, yes he does
🌳 It seemed his world halted when Cyno visited him with a piece of cloth from the shirt he made you
🌳 “What’s the meaning of this?”
🌳 Cyno sighs and sits with him. “We found this near an abandoned eremite camp, seems they’ve been captured and held for ransom. Something about some herbal medicine they made that was approved by the akademiya”
🌳 Tighnari goes from being alert and guilty, his tail and ears softening as he is remembering what he last said to you
🌳 “Why come here?”
🌳 Cyno stares at him “really? And I’m the one with the bad jokes… you’re dating?”
🌳 “Not for the last few months. They left after I called them stupid.”
🌳 “Well that was pretty stupid of you.”
🌳 Tighnari pinches his nose in frustration before begging to join him in the search and bargain for you
🌳 It takes days to track you down, visiting the places you made camp and explored guiding them toward the desert
🌳 Tighnari is usually pretty composed but his tail and ears gave him away any time Cyno would ask him a question or let him know how close they were
🌳 The general and forest ranger attacked the remote camp holding you hostage, taking everything they needed and apprehending the mercs
🌳 When Cyno walked out with you, hands still tied behind your back, Tighnari almost cried
🌳 He’d never seen you look so run down and broken, upset that they even dared to hurt you in such a way
🌳 He tries to hug you but you shrug him off, breaking his heart more
🌳 “Sweetheart…” he tries
🌳 Cyno shakes his head at his friend and commands everyone to return to the city
🌳 On the trip back it truly hits Tighnari of what he had done, the things he said, as he sits alone by a river bank
🌳 “I really messed up didnt i?”
🌳 He knows you’re behind him when you sit near him, still hesitant to have him enter your bubble
🌳 “Yeah, you did.”
Thoma
♦️ Helping people and making the world a better place is what Thoma does best!
♦️ And that’s what really drew you into him
♦️ You saw him feeding and taking care of some dogs outside of the city and soon enough you started to join him
♦️ It was a lovely and blossoming relationship, one filled with love and trust
♦️ But his duty came first and it just got in the way
♦️ You were heartbroken, but you knew the kindhearted man meant well and you had hoped things would be okay
♦️ He didn’t speak to you for months, despite his promise to always keep in touch and eventually a couple years passed
♦️ Since he was a busy body you wouldn’t run into him and vice versa
♦️ But boy did he want to see you again
♦️ He knows his lord and lady are in need of his services but he just wanted one week to try and find you, if just for friendship
♦️ He hadn’t told you of his occupation lest you get in trouble or hurt because of him
♦️ So to say he was taken aback when he saw you adorned in traditional wear next to Ayato, would be an understatement
♦️ The commission leader had called in Thoma for an upcoming announcement that he is to be married
♦️ Ayato recounts the story of how you met on the outskirts of the Kamisato Estate and that became your secret meeting spot for the last year and a half
♦️A year and a half? But you and thoma broke up over 2 years ago?? There’s no way… you wanted to see him? And make your relationship public?
♦️ If only he wasn’t working in Ritou at the time!!
♦️You smile so politely at Thoma and genuinely at Ayato with the same glimmer in your eyes that was reserved for him
♦️He does his best to hold back his emotions but you can read him like a book
♦️Besides, you did date the housekeeper for almost a year you should know him
♦️Ayato excused himself to attend to some work but encourages you to talk to Thoma
♦️The silence is awkward and suffocating until he finally has the courage to speak up
♦️“Why him?”
♦️“I came here to talk to you, he saw me at our secret spot, and you now know the rest.”
♦️“But that’s our spot…”
♦️“Thoma…” you move to wipe his tears and he holds you tight, kissing you along your neck
♦️“I still love you”
♦️“I’m engaged”
♦️“Sunshine please,” you wanna tear up from the pleading in his voice
♦️“I’m sorry, he put me first”
♦️Ayato returns and kisses you on the cheek and you giggle like a schoolgirl
♦️Thoma sees himself out and blinks away the tears threatening to fall once more
Kazuha
💨The ocean breeze blows through his hair as he stands on The Crux
💨Beidou is shouting orders and the crew does as she commands
💨His smile fades as he spots a beautiful bird in the sky, notating they’re closer to land
💨He remembers the days the two of you would go bird watching
💨You’d tell him of all the different calls, migration patterns, feather designs all meant and he would rest his head on your lap
💨He loved the sound of your voice in the calm breeze and he misses it every day
💨He wonders if you even remember him, it has been a little more than a year
💨He wasn’t sure how to handle relationship and even worse at when you decided to break it off with him
💨The sea and Inazuma was his home, but your home was in Mondstadt
💨The distance was getting too much for you and Kazuha didn’t wanna admit he was feeling it too
💨He loved to spar with you with his clans sword and talk to you about his family history
💨But that was when you were visiting Liyue and traveled with him once
💨Sea life wasn’t for you, the city of freedom is where you belong
💨His love of writing poetry seemed to disseminate the longer you were away
💨Huh, it seems you were his muse
💨Seeing the bird sparked something, but all he could think about was you
💨He could’ve written about the birds wings but wrote about your blissful personality
💨He wanted to write about the majestic flight, but wrote about how your eyes held the future in them
💨No matter what he did he would always write about you
💨Kazuha sighs and walks away from the boats edge
💨The captain approaches him and hands him an evenlope.
💨“Another letter from Mondstadt”
💨Kazuha takes it and puts it in his pocket, next to the other one
💨“Are you ever gonna read them?”
💨The anemo wielder knows better but gives in and reads what you have to say
💨It’s mostly just how you’re living, still admiring birds and reading up on them
💨You mention how you miss him and hope he’s doing well
💨You let him know that he is always welcome to Mondstadt to see you, but it’s strictly platonic
💨Your intricate words of how intoxicating his love is has him rethinking love in all senses of the word
💨Did he truly take your breath away to the point it drove you away?
💨Was loving you too much or too little for you?
💨He rips up the letters and let them float in the wind, hoping it’ll sink into the abyss
💨Similar to what his heart is doing right now

THE BRIDGE IN CORNELIA STREET IS MELODICALLY VERY SIMILAR TO INVISIBLE FROM TS1
“I just wanna show you, she don’t even know you, she’s never gonna love you like I want to”
youtube
“Barefoot in the kitchen, sacred new beginnings, that became my religion”
youtube
And remember how she played Invisible as a surprise song on Rep Tour?! That super deep cut?!! And dedicated it to the gays??!!
I see no coincidences here. She purposely called back to a time when she felt lonely and invisible while singing lines about finding someone who loves her back.
I’m crying. Thanks.
