"Esta obra musical fue concebida inicialmente en un formato de “doble estéreo”. El concepto del “estéreo” (un formato de reproducción sonora con casi un siglo de antigüedad y aún con vigencia) siempre me ha provocado interés como tema en la composición. Este formato había aparecido como tema cuando compuse la obra “Estéreo” (del álbum “Pendiende”, 1999) donde los canales del estéreo son usados más como fuentes que como plano de imagen sonora. En el caso de “Faro” que había comenzado a interpretarla en vivo sus primeras versiones durante el año 2011 , su montaje consistía en un sistema estéreo por delante del intérprete y el público y otro sistema estéreo por detrás ellos. Entre estos estéreos se disputaban dos universos sonoros: uno más tonal y reposado, y otro pleno de distorsión. Convoqué a la artista visual Mariela Bond para trabajar en esta versión audiovisual de “Faro” para el ciclo Luminiscencias, sin recordar que ella había sido partícipe de la primera interpretación en vivo de esta obra. Al comenzar la conversación, recordaba perfectamente la obra. Para esa ocasión (en el festival Panorámica - Fundación Telefónica) las imágenes eran trabajadas sobre una pantalla apaisada de gran tamaño."
