Thoughts on the boys and swimwear? (Yes all of them. Any of them.)
Got a little carried away thinking about this... We had the hunter pack's day off on the beach before, here comes the warlock flock (+ their family dog)

(bottom of the ocean sounds like the best spot to be, I'm so with Felwinter on this one)

Why Was Felwinter Allowed to Remain with the Iron Lords?
This has been tossed around in my head ever since I made this post (specifically point 5), but I want to provide a more detailed look and some better thoughts on the topic.
Among the Iron Lords, Felwinter stands alone as a character who openly did not follow the rules. Most notably, he is an oath-breaker on two main levels: he has given final deaths (Ghost kills) to the Iron Lord Dryden as well as what is described as "Ghost-killers, murderers, and worse" by Efrideet in Remembrance (which I extend to include the unknown amount of Warlords). He is openly and deeply disliked by the figurehead Radegast, and is often faced with suspicion from his fellow Iron Lords. That alone easily sets the stage for Felwinter to be a pretty precarious position for Iron Lord membership.
To begin, I want to note that knowledge of Felwinter's acts of killing are...presumably scattered at best, completely unknown to everyone but Efrideet and Radegast at absolute worst. Warlord Shaxx knew of Felwinter's oath-breaking (in the context of him killing the Warlord Citan) before Saladin himself was aware of it, for context. Of course, Felwinter is the type to "do first, ask for forgiveness later", but for an organization that does very little without discussion, if not complete consensus, it is highly unusual that Saladin would not be included the "ask for forgiveness" portion.
So...why wasn't that public knowledge? Why would other Iron Lords avoid the topic to the point where it wasn't just a "taboo" to talk about, but quite literally hidden knowledge? One would assume that such a thing would be, at the very least, known within their ranks, right?
We've seen this particular vein of behavior before (sweeping Felwinter's less-than-savory practices under the rug): in Lord Gheleon's Grimoire, Saladin, Jolder, and Efrideet all intruded on Gheleon's hideout, and Gheleon immediately thought, "Their presence suggests that Felwinter is doing something unpleasant, probably involving screams". Of course, Gheleon is a cynic to an extreme, but to assume Felwinter is legitimately torturing people without at least some precedence would be entirely unreasonable (and, mind you, pretty out of character for Gheleon's logic). Iron Lords don't torture and kill people because they're supposed to be the saviors.
There is very, very little in the text about how exactly they convinced Warlords to "join" the Iron Lords. From what I could gather, it seems like a lot of Warlords are "gently exiled" once they were removed from power--AKA told to leave and never come back. We know next to nothing about any of the "pure" Warlords (Warlords that didn't have any kind of redemption, so anyone who wasn't Shaxx, Felwinter, or (sort-of) Naeem), so it's difficult to piece together who any of them were outside of "bloodthirsty tyrants with a greed for land and no higher function".
Circling back to my main point of my older post, I believe a large part of why the Iron Lords didn't oust Felwinter from their ranks was purely because they recognized he was a better ally than an enemy. He was the only Warlord to hold an entire mountain--while he couldn't beat Shaxx in a fight, he's still incredibly strong on his own. The Iron Lords would be pretty hard-pressed to find someone that was his equal (in more ways that one).
However ... I think a lot of it comes from the fact that a lot of the Iron Lords are able to see that what Felwinter does are, in his words, operational necessities. By nature, lightbearers are a reoccurring problem; we see with the Warlord Reich that Ghosts can be convinced to leave their lightbearers, but that was a very unique situation. Most require a hand willing to make sure the lightbearer will never be able to interfere again, and that requires someone willing to kill a Ghost. Someone like Felwinter.
Arguably, as long as Felwinter didn't advertise his actions (which he didn't), the Iron Lords would face very little kickback for a few of their undesirables quietly disappearing. Of course, there were still rumors that followed him (which is how Wu Ming/the Drifter knew to ask him, of all Iron Lords, to kill Dryden), but those could honestly be brushed off as just rumors pretty easily. This was still the Dark Ages: people likely went missing all the time. Plus, Felwinter's a pretty good liar.
That's not to mention the hit to their reputation they'd have to take to openly admitting Felwinter was a repeat oath-breaker. Hell, his mountain is the place of their HQ. They named it after him. Turning around and going, "Hey, we messed up, and this guy's bad actually," would be detrimental to both their own unity as well as reputation outside of Iron Lord circles--whether that be among possible recruits or among Warlords.
All in all, there's a lot that goes into it, plenty of which I didn't really touch on here. This doesn't even take into account things such as the flow of information (purely because I know nothing about how good their infrastructure was at the time). Obviously, as time went on, more and more people became aware of Felwinter's dealings, but I can't really find anything on actual push-back he received other than what was likely a very stern talking-to. (How do you punish someone who fully believes they have done no wrong, and has real proof to back themself up?) There's plenty to think about.

poor guy. he was the coolest fella ever and we had him for so little time :(
and here's a quick sketch i did of what a full exo form might have looked like for him.
Tumblr media
I wanted to keep the "incomplete" feeling of his experimental exo form by leaving his extraneous limbs sort of wiry and loose, not well armored like his main body. i don't think i pulled it off very well. hopefully if i try again i'll get it better next time.
i want to draw felwinter in the future too, he was a pretty epic fella. thumbs up.
